This was the closest place to my house (5 min walk) so I decided to go here despite the negative reviews. They got the job done, but she definitely overcharged me. Nail removal is priced at $5, and a manicure at $12, so my total should have been $17. She charged me $20. I didn't really put up much of a fight, based on reviews - they are rude and I didn't want to deal with it for just $3 extra. It's not about the money, it's just about being overcharged that annoyed me. I really wanted to just get out of there, so I paid the $20 and left. Got a basic manicure, they could've been filed better, but because I was in a rush I'm ok with it. The inside is not that great, it seemed clean enough though, but like other reviewers have said, it lacked ambience. Also they use these mini fans to dry your nails as opposed to the nail dryers you usually see at other salons. Another thing I would suggest is to bring your own nail color - they were majorly lacking in the color selection. Most of them were off brand and looked like they haven't been used in years. I didn't want to pay for a crappy color, so I just picked the first China Glaze color I saw because I figured it would look better than all the other brands you'd probably find at a $1 store. Overall, it got the job done for my desperate needs, but due to lack of ambience, nail color selections, and being overcharged, I will not be returning.

I can't believe how much better I feel! I feel transformed. I will definitely be a regular here! My friend gave me a gift card to come here and I'm so happy she found this place. Beautiful spa!! The vibes are so good. They offer a variety of treatments and have different rooms. (I look forward to coming back to get my nails done.) The lobby is very nice with lots of beverage options and a pristine bathroom. Brooklyn's massage room had everything: relaxing music, aromatherapy, warm lighting, heating pad on the massage table. Brooklyn is so kind and attentive. Since I was a new client, we had a lovely talk before the treatment started to discuss my body issues and get a plan. She really got all the knots out of my body. I really appreciated how we started and ended the session with 3 deep breaths and breathing in essential oils. I believe it was eucalyptus oil. So nice! I have been looking for a massage therapist and now I found her. I will definitely be a regular of Brooklyn's. I highly recommend coming here.

As much as I wanted to like this place unfortunately I can't encourage anyone to go. My first…read moreexperience was one I had when I booked to get Gel X nails (a pricey appointment) during your appointment you're promised champagne. When I asked for a glass it seemed as if I was bothering them and it was an inconvenience. I sat through my appointment having to ask again to get a refill of the complementary champagne but yet it seemed like a bother. I didn't ask after the second time because I noticed the women getting their feet done had their champagne refilled before it was done. After my service I left and gave my technician a good tip.. not even a week later my nails start popping off. I reach out to the salon and they offer to redo my set for free which I was grateful for because I had not had these nails for even a week yet. When going into my next appointment I was given a different technician which I loved and kept checking if I liked how my nails were being done through the appointment unfortunately I had yet again been offered the champagne and ignored by the staff while other women had glasses overflowing. Once my redo appointment was done I left my technician a tip and went about my way.. to get again not even a week later gave them come off again. Y'all I work a desk job and have had gel x plenty of times but this is my worst experience yet. I want to like them but I just can't.

Because when you feel like "My skin needs this" and then you have a long wait or no openings makes you put off treating your skin right. (or maybe its just me). Okay back to the scheduling of this appointment with Aesthetic Theory Detroit (ATD). I click on the tab to request appointment on yelp and I love that right away i was taken to a quick few questions what my concerns were along with a few other questions. Because when deciding on a facial it can be a bit overwhelming if you don't know what would work. I was happy that it didn't take long before i got a reply back with suggestion what facial would work based on my concerns. I got schedule for a few days later and I was on my way to having a Dermal infusion. Day of my appointment everything was smooth from the minute I walked in, I answered a few questions and then I was taken to a room where my facial started right away. It didn't take long maybe 45min total if you count the time it took me to fill out the information on the ipad, now let me tell you BEAUTY IS PAIN and this might not be for everyone but the end results is so worth. And of course consistency with your skin care regimen is a must, I saw the difference in my skin with just 1 appointment. It also helps that they take before and after pictures so you can see the progress but honestly I saw it after 1 visit. I did schedule for another one in about a month because its a PRICEY but 1's a month you can make it work because your skin will thank you. I loved how i didnt feel pressure to buy anything or like I was being given a sales pitch during my facial. 2 days after the facial I did get a few little breakout but I was told that would happen because of the treatment from the Dermal inusion. But Heather did a fabulous job and i'm looking forward to getting my skin right and the next appointment I have. If you want to try out other services they have check the website out :) you wont regret the facial
