I'm so glad the spa was able to accommodate our party of three. They start you off with a drink and then take you to a room. I shared a room with my partner. The massage was going well until the young lady kept applying quite heavy pressure, even though I asked for a lighter touch. She also focused on a knot on my shoulder, which I was fine with, but at one point, she could tell I was uncomfortable, she asked, "Ma'am, are you okay?" I told her I was in pain, but she kept saying, "It's okay, I almost got this knot out." I knew the knot was there, but the aggressive pressure wasn't what I wanted, and honestly, it was a bit too much.
Also, it would've been helpful if she checked with us about stretching, my partner hurt her leg after she over-stretched her. Stretching during massages is pretty common in Asia, so if you don't want it, make sure to tell them right away. Overall, it was an okay experience, but communication about pressure and stretching is key to getting the most out of your massage. read more
