Never board your dog at Les Anges Gardiennes. They stopped having someone stay with the animals…read moreovernight over a year ago, but didn't tell customers. They just pretend nothing changed. They put the dogs in cages, stacked floor to ceiling, in a tiny room with signs banning entry, so owners don't know how badly their animals are being treated. From the time the daycare closes at 7:00pm until after 7:00am the next morning there is no one there, and the dogs are stuck in little cages for 12+ hours. There is just a camera in the room and who knows if they monitor that. They make a show of putting some cats roaming freely in an office off reception, but they won't show you where they actually stick the dogs who are boarding there: in tiny cages that are off-limits and behind closed doors. I saw the disgusting room because a lovely person in reception told me to avoid boarding there, and showed me the room even though they could have been fired. The people who work in the daycare are fabulous, but the woman who runs the place, Vanessa, is super sweet to your face and takes your money, and then shoves your dog, alone and scared, in a small room and lies to you about someone being there. Oh, also, Vanessa steals tips. The people who work there are so lovely (and you should tip them!!!) but NEVER let Vanessa see you do it, she'll take it for herself, because "they owe her." NEVER GO HERE FOR ANYTHING.

However, on the third day I received an email saying she could no longer handle my dog which left me scrambling to coordinate with another boarder while I was not even in the province to do so. Her reason? My dog wants to chase squirrels and is sometimes reactive to bicycles. She also told me my dog demanded so much attention in the house that she was unable to use her computer or even shower! At least I was fully refunded but I could have done without the extra stress while trying to enjoy my vacation.

Both my dogs take medication and have a special diet; they take extra care to follow my directions and they treat my dogs like their owns. Always offering tips and suggestions to give the pups at their happiest. They keep you updated via text updates and often post pictures to their Instagram account. You can always call them whenever you want; and someone is on site 24/7. Prices are fair; and they offer numerous services. Doggy day care, boarding and training, grooming, raw food services and more! They have packages to choose from also. They have helped me train my dog Austyn. Then came the grooming, horrible. She cut 1/4 of her right ear off then still charged me! I've had some bad experiences but this one was the worse ever. I went in today to return / exchange the bag of dog food that my dog won't touch and a coat that didn't fit her. The girl was so obnoxious, she wouldn't even look at the food or the coat, and just said, full of attitude, return the food to the company and the coat is sold as is...without even looking at the coat. I didn't even care if they exchanged or returned the coat and food, but at least be polite and helpful. I expect respect when I go into an establishment and I have a feeling that this store will quickly learn that ALL Rockland clientele expect that as well. If you are like me, do not go there.
