We brought the dog to this business - since we knew it was nearby - and they graciously accepted to take care of the dog until it's owner would (hopefully) come looking for it. They were also nice enough to take our contact info for communication/updating purposes. Within a few hours, we received a courteous email from the store informing us that the dog owner had dropped by and picked up the dog. Very nice of them to do this and I believe this informs on the kind of "dog store" they are (and the kind of dog lovers they have running the place). Although the grooming seemed fine, we noticed his eyes were extremely red. While initially concerned, we assumed he got something in it, or had a reaction to one of the grooming products used. However, over the course of two days, the redness did not improve. We took him into the vet today and they confirmed it was bruising and likely popped blood vessels, potentially from being pulled or handled improperly. Our dog is always within our care - we do not use doggy daycare, babysitters or dog walking services, so there is no other explanation than this happening while at the groomer. Our dog is a cavalier and while he is a 10 month old puppy, he is extremely well mannered, rarely aggressive or overly hyper, and not to mention has been groomed prior to this experience elsewhere and has never had an issue. It makes me sick to my stomach that an establishment can boast about such great reviews while clearly handling their clients in an abusive manner. Please, to anyone with a beloved pet, do not bring them here. It broke my heart into many pieces to see the pain caused from this experience.

Never board your dog at Les Anges Gardiennes. They stopped having someone stay with the animals…read moreovernight over a year ago, but didn't tell customers. They just pretend nothing changed. They put the dogs in cages, stacked floor to ceiling, in a tiny room with signs banning entry, so owners don't know how badly their animals are being treated. From the time the daycare closes at 7:00pm until after 7:00am the next morning there is no one there, and the dogs are stuck in little cages for 12+ hours. There is just a camera in the room and who knows if they monitor that. They make a show of putting some cats roaming freely in an office off reception, but they won't show you where they actually stick the dogs who are boarding there: in tiny cages that are off-limits and behind closed doors. I saw the disgusting room because a lovely person in reception told me to avoid boarding there, and showed me the room even though they could have been fired. The people who work in the daycare are fabulous, but the woman who runs the place, Vanessa, is super sweet to your face and takes your money, and then shoves your dog, alone and scared, in a small room and lies to you about someone being there. Oh, also, Vanessa steals tips. The people who work there are so lovely (and you should tip them!!!) but NEVER let Vanessa see you do it, she'll take it for herself, because "they owe her." NEVER GO HERE FOR ANYTHING.
