I am a new client of Spa Bliss and I have been very happy with Chris. I had neck surgery 6 months ago and needed help with the tight neck and shoulder muscles. She has been doing a great job loosening up and relieving the pain in my neck and shoulders. Chris is very knowledgeable and I highly recommend her. G. Martz read more

So four days past my due date, I finally decided to cash in on this elivelife.com certificate for a pregnancy massage that my boyfriend purchased for me. I called and left a message on the phone number listed, Chris promptly called me back within half an hour and I was able to schedule an appointment for my massage for the next day. The building in which her office is located is easy to find, next to Sushi Ota, in the same building as Planned Parenthood. Parking is a beezy though so I would get there early, or avoid scheduling your massage around lunch time (mine was 1pm on a Friday afternoon... bad timing for sure). What made this a four star experience for me was that Chris still gave me my hour massage even though I showed up 20 minutes late (I mis-read the address and thought her office was on Mission Blvd - not mission bay dr. and ended up getting stuck in Garnet ave traffic - Fail!). She was friendly and professional, and I felt very relaxed post-massage. The only complaint I have is that when I booked my appt over the phone with her, she told me the gratuity for the massage would be $20... the elivelife certificate stated it was $16.. but when I brought it up she said she would take the $16 even though she said she had "talked with the owners of elivelife and it should have been changed" and she preferred $20. I've never heard of a 25% automatic gratuity for any service, and at first I thought it was very bad customer service to pretty much expect a $20 "tip". However, she was accommodating about my lateness, so I felt the extra $4 was fine. My only other semi-unrelated question which remains unanswered for now, is why elivelife.com states her massage costs $80 plus $16 gratuity, when the massage services card that Chris gave me to take home states her prenatal massage is $50... read more

Chris and her beautiful hands are not only blissful , but essential. It is a health must at any age. She creates a peaceful atmosphere of joy and relaxation. Chris is so kind and caring. She is gentle , but strong. I have gone to her before surgery for a spinal fusion. The pain was so bad back then and she could still get me to relax. I love her. Try her and you will not search any further for "your" person! read more

Chris is a great masseuse. Her experience shows in her innate ability to find problem areas and work them out. If you are in the Clairemont or PB area, I highly recommend Spa Bliss. Aside from her massage skills, Chris is very knowledgeable about the human body and frequently give me advice on posture and exercise to help in between massages. Go see Chris, you won't be disappointed. read more

I bought a elivelife.com certificate from a Wellness Expo at work which included Chris Bliss pregnancy massage service. I was excited to find something nearby to choose from so I called right away and made my appointment. I have pregnancy brain so the next day I called back to confirm my appt, so I can't believe she still botched my appt time. The day of my appt, I got to the place 15 mins early, ready to get my massage on. I called Chris to let me in the building. You cannot enter the building unless someone comes out to get you. She didn't answer her phone so I left her a message to let her know that I am outside waiting for her to come get me. 15 minutes later, my scheduled appt time - still no reply so I called again to let her know I am still waiting outside and to please give me a call to let me know if she is running late. No reply, so I sat in my car for about 20 mins more. Still no reply so I left extremely disappointed and needing to use the restroom. I wasted a total of 40 mins of my precious weekend. I was so disappointed. What a very unprofessional experience to be stood up after confirming the appt. Chris Bliss finally called and left me a message the next day apologizing for the mix up. She put me down for a different date than confirmed. I understand that these things can happen but being in a service oriented business, she should really be more careful about booking appts - especially when customer called to confirm. She said I can still come in for the appt she have me down for but after being stood up I know I would not be relaxed during a massage there. I would probably be too focused on my experience of waiting for 40 mins and needing to use the restroom really bad. No bueno! Bliss it was not, I am extremely disappointed. This was my experience, hopefully you will have a better experience than I did if you do decide to go here for a massage. Also if you are using a elivelife.com voucher - per the voucher it reads, "20% ($16) Gratuity based on regular value not included and must be paid at time of appointment" BUT Chris will say it is a $20 gratuity, cash only payment that you need to pay upfront. I always thought gratuity is based on the service provided, not tipping before you get serviced. read more

I highly recommend Spa Bliss by Chris. I've been getting massages from Chris for several years, and I always look forward to my next scheduled massage with Chris. I work in front of a computer all day long during the week, and I've noticed less tension and pressure in my neck and shoulders since I've been seeing Chris on a regular basis. I also get migraine headaches, and Chris has a special technique she uses on my neck. I once went into a massage with a migraine headache, and I left the massage without it thanks to Chris' skills. Chris has catered her massages based on my needs when I have an area causing me pain on a particular occasion. If you are looking for a relaxing, gratifying massage, and someone who is honest and cares about her clients, Spa Bliss by Chris is for you! read more

Awful experience! Left work early, waited in 40 min of traffic, waited in an uncomfortably hot hallway with no restroom for 20 min (for the pregnancy massage, mind you), called Chris and left a message. A few min later I get a call back saying she fell asleep because she's had a bad cold so she shouldn't work on me. Of course, I wouldn't want her to work on me being sick but can you not be a responsible business owner and call your clients for the day to let them know I need to reschedule?? No respect for her clientele, especially those of us who are pregnant! read more

I've been using Chris' massage service for a while now. You can tell she is professionally trained and is very intuitive to your needs. I would definitely recommend her again. read more

Over the years, I have been to many massage therapists. I really enjoyed my visit with Chris. She took the time to find out what I felt my body needed and she adjusted her massage to fit. I really enjoy firm pressure during a massage, Chris was able to get into muscles and bring relief to my tension. Thank you Chris! read more

I received an email from elivelife which reminded me I had an account which I purchased credit through a wedding expo in 2012. I haven't used elivelife since my experience with Chris in 2012. I made an appointment with her for a pregnancy massage. She was nearly an hour late, and I was waiting in a hallway pregnant with no chairs. Chris seemed pretty nice but no apologies were made, and from there I was so frustrated and tight I couldn't enjoy my massage. I hope that was a one time occurance. read more

Never answered the phone after 5 phone calls attempting to set up a pregnancy massage for my Gf.

I have been receiving massages from Chris for 4 yrs. I have been very pleased with each massage. She is knowledgable about many different types of massage. There have been times when I had different injuries, and she was able to work with me in a safe and helpful way. Her office is clean and very calm and relaxing. She has been flexible with scheduling. I have refered friends and each one of them were very pleased with their massage. Her prices are very reasonable and she is always professional. I would highly recomend Chris for a wonderful massage. read more

I've been to Chris many times now based on the work she has done to ease my pain from a bike accident I had. She told me she is an HHP which is over 1000 hours of training. I can believe it now that she has worked on me. She's not a clock watcher and the atmosphere in her office is very relaxing. I like the fact that Chris' office is in a professional building and she has a nice shower so you can wash off the oil if you're going back to work. Chris is as good as it gets in my opinion, she's always delivered a wonderful therapeutic and relaxing massage. If you're in need of a quality massage by someone that cares about you and knows exactly what she's doing don't miss out on Chris, I can't recommend her highly enough! read more
