I cannot speak on the owners of Dubai lux spa and Claus beauty salon or any of the girls because…read morethey all seem very nice and professional however Ghana is a different story. Ghana approached me with a barter arrangement,in which I would perform work at her house ,in exchange for massages she would give me at Dubai lux spa,as she is a licensed massage therapist and works there.
When I arrived at her house,it was a troubling picture to say the least,as I have really seen a property ( outside and in) in such poor and unkept condition,as if it had been abandoned and neglected forany years. The grass was about 4 feet high and everything was very overgrown. I knew write away it was going to be a big job and a lot of very hard work.
I worked at the house about 40 hours ,which totaled $1000 dallars at my $25 an hour rate. and I even did a days work for free. I worked very hard ,good , honestly and dependably and did everything she asked , including allowing your kids to work with me about.
When it came time for me to begin getting paid by Ghana in massages, she was not straight forward. She decided on the type of massage she would give me (not asking me)and gave me the most expensive one $175 an hour and completely excluded my problem areas (lower back and pecs) not even touching them and never even asked me what my problem areas were and what I wanted to work on and when I told her she just ignored me. When I complained about the high price, she said oh I have one for $145 .
I checked with several other spas and they all told me $80 for a 1 hour full body massage and $70 at one place. When I told Ghana this ,she said oh I have one for $80 and when she gave me that one, once again she entirely skipped my lower back and pecs and when I complained she said it would cost more to do those areas
During my many interactions with Ghana ,on several occasions she yelled at me ,which I found unprofessional.
I read the Dubai lux spa, massage policy and it stated that it is up to the client and that they may always undress to their comfort level , including removing their underwear and when I informed Ghana that I had removed my underwear, she began yelling at me as if I had done something wrong and made me feel very uncomfortable and an unpleasant experience during each massage, including shutting the lights out and demanding my eyes be covered at all times and when I complained she said that was her rule and also insisting on wearing gloves despite my asking that she not and telling her I was allergic.
Something seemed very odd ,so I decided to compare Ghana massages and behavior with other places so I went to 3 other spas, all of which were $80 dallars for a 1hour full body massage and at each one I received a true professional ,normal full body massage, that quite frankly were 10x better than any of the massages Ghana had giving me and at a far less price. There was no eye covering (windows with curtains) ,no gloves and the asked, listened and gave me the massage I wanted, concentrating on the target areas and they were truly a relaxing and enjoyable experience,as a massage should be.I was100% satisfied and left with a feeling that if gotten my money's worth ,which was certainly not the feeling with the massages Ghana gave me ,as I left feeling cheated.
I would like to also add that Ghana urruptly changed and attempted to change several of our scheduled appointments, including twice in one day, telling me that other clients that wanted my time slot,as if I were not a client and as if I had not already paid her for my appointment.
