My husband and I visited Chattanooga for a couple of days this week for Spring Break and had unexpected snow and extreme cold weather. In search for alternative plans, we found this gem of a place in Ringgold, GA. Kim worked magic in getting us in for a couples massage at the very last minute. I can not say enough about how nice, professional, and accommodating this place was. We both had one of the best massages we have ever had and were not ready to leave. I even returned the next day to get a facial by Kim. She was not kidding when she said she gave a great one! I received derma-planing and a mild chemical peel and could see immediate results! I was so impressed that I plan to make the trip back from Nashville, TN to visit again. Thanks Kim and staff for making a disappointing weather trip into a very relaxing trip! I found Spa at the Barn in an internet search. I Booked an appointment for a couples massage by phone and spoke with a friendly staff member on Thursday. My partner and I planned our weekend out of town around this appointment and were very much looking forward to it. I received a confirmation text and everything looked like this was going to be amazing. The website looked charming as did the grounds when we arrived on time. We were not greeted by anyone when we entered, and found seats to wait. After 10-15 mins of waiting, a gentleman approached us and stated the the booking had only scheduled one attendant for our appointment and not two. That no one was available to come in on short notice and they would need to reschedule us. We live three hours away. This was not convenient to simply reschedule. I was not impressed by his apology and he did not offer anything to make it right. We had to ask for a refund. I was very disappointed to have planned something special for my partner and be left with no other resolution than to get a refund and drive three hours home. read more

After a family emergency I had to cancel my appointment that was scheduled for that same day, I let the receptionist know of the family emergency and there was no response to what had happened like "sorry to hear that" or anything of the sort and they kept my 90.00 that I had prepaid for the massage. I've been in the business for 20 years and never have I taken a clients money for a cancellation that was for good reason. Things happen and Being penalized 90.00 is just bad business and bad customer service. I would have returned plenty to have made up for what now will be a lifetime of loss on my part considering I won't ever return. read more

I made an appointment one week in advance for today at 1:30. Confirmed my appointment was at 1:30. I arrived at 1:20 and was greeted and checked in. I waited for my masseuse and a lady walked in the front door around the 1:45 and said "they called me and said you arrived late so we can go ahead and get this started and finish out the remainder of your time slot" ??? (Meaning I would have a 30 min massage although I was paying for 60) I said "excuse me? I had an appointment at 1:30 and arrived early!" Not only were they very rude and unprofessional but absolutely terrible customer service. No one at check in said I was "late" or mentioned rescheduling. No one seemed to care or take ownership for the miss-scheduling. I won't be back. So unfortunate, because it's such a beautiful barn and was looking forward to a relaxing spa day. The place is beautiful! My husband got me a massage and a back facial as a surprise. I got the massage and it was wonderful (Joanna did it), she told me the next person would come in to do the facial. I fell asleep and woke up 50 minutes later, nobody came. I went to the front desk and they seemed surprised to see me. "oh, they didn't tell you? your facial was canceled, the person couldn't come today". 50 minutes they forgot about me in there. Honestly it was a great nap, but that wasn't ok. I did reschedule, but changed it into another massage with the same person (Joanna), only because she was great. Booked a couples massage for our anniversary, employee had personal issues where they weren't able to make it into work. This wouldn't have been a big issue, but they handled it terribly. Company called the wrong person and just left a voice mail message with that wrong person to cancel the appointment. We show up for appointment and they just basically say sorry we can't do it and sorry for calling wrong person. No attempt to make it right, no nothing but get lost. Terrible customer service. Absolutely ruined someone's plans for their anniversary and just didn't care. Awful way to run a business. read more

I was scheduled for a massage and facial, back to back. First, I had a very nice massage from Anna. Then I waited twenty minutes before the receptionist came to me and said the aesthetician had not gotten the appointment schedule, due to them having a new system. Don't you think they would verify appointments on a daily bases, especially if you are changing systems. She offered me a chance to reschedule. No way! GOOD SERVICE DEPENDING ON WHICH MASSEUSE YOU GET My sister had the deep medical massage with Candice and absolutely loved it! Would go back and specially ask for her when scheduling next time. The young man who gave me my massage however did not know what he was doing. 1) There was no consistency in the massage from side to side. Something he would do on the right side would not be repeated on the left or vice versa. 2) I was laying on my stomach and he put his hands all the way around my neck doing this side-to-side motion that completely crushed my windpipe!? 3) he kept pulled the sheet too far up my legs for the lower body portion. Halfway through the hour he started putting the lotion directly down my legs instead of warming it in his hands first. 4) the last straw was when I was supposed to get a face mask. I was again on my stomach, but topless for my back massage. He stood at my head, lifted up the sheet and told me to roll over. I had to awkwardly reach up and tug the sheet out of his hands so I could roll over without being exposed. l'd like to think it was absentminded, but he was standing at my head looking straight down my whole body. Maybe next time just have the person do it themselves without the assistance. Especially since everyone's comfort levels in such a situation can vary so drastically. read more

They are open now due to Covid 19, they will come out to take your temp in the car before you go inside & you have to wear a mask in the main area but can take it off once you are in your massage room. Ask for Brittney she is awesome! A 2 hour massage is only $105 what a deal!!! The building is really cute as it's an old rustic barn turned shabby chic. Sometimes it can be a little noisy inside just because of the layout. read more

I went when this business was first opening. The massage therapist need more knowledge of the muscles and how much pressure to use. I had neck pain for 3 weeks after the massage, will not go back and risk that again. This was not my first massage not my last just found someone that understood the muscles and knew how to give a massage without weeks of pain afterwards. read more

Just moved here from Boston and found this little gem of a spa in Ringgold. First, let me say I've had many facials and massages. Was running late but they were very nice and I started with the massage with cupping. I've had cupping before and this time did not disappoint. She gave me a wonderful massage and took her time. I then had a facial with Ms. Brooke and was one of the best and relaxing facials I'd ever had. I don't usually do reviews but this Spa was well deserving. I'll definitely be back. read more

I went for a prenatal massage, and my experience was adequate. My masseuse was very impersonal, I actually didn't even catch her name because it wasn't offered and she was 15 minutes late getting to me. That's a bit of a big deal to me since I make a point to arrive 10 minutes early to create time for the consultation. I felt like other people were put ahead of my needs. Other than the personal aspect, the massage itself was good, but not great. read more

I would give the Spa higher but the massage therapist that did my massage needs to learn better technique. I told her I had rheumatoid and other pain issues but she was very rough. This was not a relaxing massage. I will go back but not to her. Also, there should be sound proofing of some type. There was a man in the room next to me that talked the entire time, without stopping. I came after work and would have liked a relaxing massage, no such luck on this day. read more

The only reason I'm even giving this spa a "3" is because my massage with Nikki was the best massage I've ever had! A great mix of therapeutic and relaxing. She was very professional and knowledgeable. If not for her, I'm not even sure I would give it 1 star. The girl at the front desk was not very friendly or professional. My facial was honestly the worst I've ever had. My esthetician had (obviously) smoked just prior to coming into the room. Her hands and breath smelled terribly of smoke. She never once asked me any questions about my skin, or told me what she was doing. And she talked about herself non stop the whole time. Not a bit relaxing. I'm not even sure what kind of facial I got, hopefully the one requested at time of booking. Thankfully my skin does look and feel good. When I was finished, I had to wait for my friend to finish her massage (her massage therapist was fabulous as well!) While I waited, I witnessed further unprofessionalism from the girl at the desk and other staff as well, both on the phone and to other clients waiting. Someone who I think was the owner came in at one point and she wasn't any better. It's really unfortunate because the barn itself is really beautiful and has a lot of potential. I've worked in a few very nice, quality spas, and this is definitely NOT how things should happen. I would go back for a massage, but that would be it. If you're looking for a true spa experience, this isn't the place for you. read more
