Andrea did a phenomenal job cutting my hair, and she also put it in some very lovely blonde highlights. She was very meticulous and made sure she was doing everything properly. She was very friendly and chatted with me. However, but the time I got home, I was a little upset, because I wanted something more dramatic, and more of an allover blonde. I 100% did not communicate this properly to her. I struggle communicating and I'm pretty shy, so this often is a recipe for a disaster of my own making. lol I called Laura, and told her my hair wasn't what I really wanted. I thought I could tough it out until my next touch up and just ask for a ton more highlights, but I couldn't. She told me to come in Monday evening and she would fix it because she wanted me to be completely happy with my hair. She was so nice and so kind, and I felt awful because I knew this was going to make her stay late into the evening, and I'm sure she was hungry when I came in. We talked extensively about what I wanted, and I showed her different pictures this time. She discussed the best way to do it and keep the integrity of my hair at the same time. She wanted me to be happy, but she didn't want to destroy my hair in the process. She patiently applied TONS AND TONS of foils. Once the color was finished processing she told me if I still wasn't happy, she would stay and we would try again. She really wanted me to be happy with my hair. She turned me away from the mirror as she dried and styled it so she could do a big reveal at the end. I LOVE IT!!!!! It's so beautiful and it looks so natural too! It looks so natural that a woman complimented my hair yesterday and told me how pretty it was. I thanked her and told her I had gotten it done at Laura's Southern Charm Salon and told her where they were located. She was SHOCKED! She couldn't believe that it was color, and said they did a REALLY good job. I'm going to recommend this salon to everyone I know, and everyone who asks me about a salon in the area! I will definitely be going back for touch ups and hair cuts! She is also very generous, because that day she had been giving free back to school hair cuts. she had a back pack for a girl, and one for a boy that she was going to have a drawing for. I got to pick the children's names and they were so excited!! I was very touched at her kind and generous spirit.

Add the mini facial massage (Deluxe package) and you have a 75 minute golden ticket of self-care. Just Relax Massage and Spa, in Spring Hill, is nested in an office park just off Mariner Road. Its spa like interior is quiet and easy on the eyes. I was really happy to see that as too many spas, in the area, are a sad attempt at what a spa should look like. A spa experience is for the body and the spirit and Just Relax Massage and Spa recognizes that. My appointment was with Jasmine and she greeted me at the desk,I filled out paperwork and she escorted me to the room for my Head spa and mini facial. Calming spa music was on the speaker, and she shared how the process would unfold and ensured me that everything, from the temperature of the heated table, the water, and the room was easily adjusted to my needs. Jasmine began with the mini facial and it was heavenly, especially the hot towel wrap, she then began with the head spa and it truly was heavenly. The lotions and potions used was such a treat and I could feel the nerve endings in my scalp do a happy dance. Half way through she then worked down my neck, across my shoulders and to my finger-tips with a massage. She then returned to my head massage, another shoulder massage and then finished up with the last half of my mini facial. I was a happy puddle when she helped me sit up. You will leave a head spa massage with wet hair but Relax Massage and Spa provided you with a towel to wrap your head or place on your shoulders as you drive home. Additionally, they provide you with the wide tooth comb used on your scalp during the massage. My face felt as smooth as glass (not bad for 72 years of wear) and my hair was like fine silk after the head spa. I cannot say enough about this experience and am a huge advocate for this type of self-care as it is so good for your mental health as well as your physical health.
