Add the mini facial massage (Deluxe package) and you have a 75 minute golden ticket of self-care. Just Relax Massage and Spa, in Spring Hill, is nested in an office park just off Mariner Road. Its spa like interior is quiet and easy on the eyes. I was really happy to see that as too many spas, in the area, are a sad attempt at what a spa should look like. A spa experience is for the body and the spirit and Just Relax Massage and Spa recognizes that. My appointment was with Jasmine and she greeted me at the desk,I filled out paperwork and she escorted me to the room for my Head spa and mini facial. Calming spa music was on the speaker, and she shared how the process would unfold and ensured me that everything, from the temperature of the heated table, the water, and the room was easily adjusted to my needs. Jasmine began with the mini facial and it was heavenly, especially the hot towel wrap, she then began with the head spa and it truly was heavenly. The lotions and potions used was such a treat and I could feel the nerve endings in my scalp do a happy dance. Half way through she then worked down my neck, across my shoulders and to my finger-tips with a massage. She then returned to my head massage, another shoulder massage and then finished up with the last half of my mini facial. I was a happy puddle when she helped me sit up. You will leave a head spa massage with wet hair but Relax Massage and Spa provided you with a towel to wrap your head or place on your shoulders as you drive home. Additionally, they provide you with the wide tooth comb used on your scalp during the massage. My face felt as smooth as glass (not bad for 72 years of wear) and my hair was like fine silk after the head spa. I cannot say enough about this experience and am a huge advocate for this type of self-care as it is so good for your mental health as well as your physical health. This place has the customer experience in mind. They evaluate your choice and essential oil's and then customize your massage around your preferences. Obviously not all therapists are the same so you need to be vocal and let them know what it is that you prefer. I have found they have been most willing to work with my schedule and often I've been able to get in on the same day, but not always. Tell them what you like and what you need and the person that schedules you will match you with a therapist that is most able to meet your needs. The beat place for a massage in Spring Hill, nowhere else is even close. I've been going here a few times a year since they opened and it's a wonderful place. The lady at the front counter isn't very nice. She seems to hate her job. I basically just left after waiting 20 min for the therapist to come back. My appointment was 2:00. She came up to me while I was sitting waiting for her and said "I have to call my kids back do you mind waiting for a second". I said sure no problem. Then never came back. So at 2:20 I asked the lady at the front desk if she is coming back and when. She said I have no idea she is on a phone call. I said I guess I should leave then? She said she was sorry but okay. Thank goodness a Massage Envy opened closer to home! Everyone has been a joy to be around. I feel welcomed every visit. I have been Massaged by Hailey many times since they have opened. She can give you an overall massage one visit then hon in on your troubles spots the next. I love leaving feeling like gumby and ready for bed after every visit. I know Hailey is expanding her skills as a masseuse to be able to perform prenatal massages. It gives me great comfort to know she will continue to massage me once I become pregnant. My partner and I signed up for the couple's swedish massage, we've had this exact massage at different spas before but this was out first visit to Just Relax. Well, we got there, they took us back and immediately tried to upsell us on a different massage, "oh the Swedish massage doesn't touch the muscles, you'll wanna do therapeutic". I stood my ground and suggest we keep it the same, she then proceeded to give me an "example" of the two types. Swedish, she lightly rubbed her can on my arm. Therapeutic, she began to massage gently. Although she gave me an exagerated example I stuck with Swedish. She then made a point to make sure I knew of the mistake I just made, lightly rubbing lotion on me, no actual massage at all, literally leaving cold caked lotion where it wasn't even rubbed in all the way due to how light the rubbing was. This was an absolute terrible experience, I paid $149 to have a stranger cake me with lotion. So, please, unless you're ok with being upsold just know the swedish massage at this location is an absolute joke and waste of time/money.
