Parker beware!!!!!! Went to an event at the Cadre building and decided to park in Central parking garage Biggggg mistake this place will tag and boot your car first and then check to see if you paid later. Once I return back to my car sticker pieces on the driver side window and a scratch on the back fender and when I look to see anyone they was there to my surprise they was tagging and booting another patrons car needless to say I got my car out of there quickly but not before yelling out I'M GOING TO WRITE A REVIEW!!!!!

Yep! Rebooting and 'initializing' after not even being on! Wish I could upload the video as well!

Very similar story to the previous poster. We had been in Memphis for less than 2 hours total and wanted to try Rendezvous out. We looked for parking forever and finally found this lot. In Nashville and Chicago (where we are from) you pay for the parking when leaving or to an attendant, etc. We took special notice to make sure we didn't park in a reserved spot, and even moved the car when we realized that we had at first. Went in, ate, came back out less than 1 hour to a note and boot on the car. We called and was told it would be $125 and that there were "signs everywhere." I admitted that it was quite possibly negligence on our part for not taking notice of the signs as hungry tourists, but that $125 was an exuberant and over-inflated amount for this infraction and that we were completely willing to pay for the parking and whatever gas/service fee it took to actually put the boot on. Everyone on the phone with the company that booted the car, the boot mechanic, etc were extremely rude, to the point that a passing police officer stopped after noticing our dilemma and even gave us his name and phone number because he had seen us go in and knew it hadn't been long and thought that this company was preying on us and that they were known for doing so with tourists. The "boot guy" at first told us that if we could prove we had been there the actual amount of time we had been, he could remove it, but then when we actually produced the police officer, he changed his story and had to "leave for another call." No help, and wouldn't return until we agreed to pay. EVEN BETTER we actually went to check the machine out to see how much the rate was and it didn't work! We have a 1 minute video that I am sending to the media and BBB that shows us repeatedly trying the machine with no luck. During this time, 3 other cars pulled in asking how to use the parking and we (and the nearby valets) told them not to use this particular lot and showed them the machine wasn't working. Of course, as soon as the boot guy came in, the machine rebooted and initialized (which we also have pictures of) and just miraculously began working. Am I saying that we should have read every sign on the way from our car to the restaurant? Maybe. I don't quite have a habit of reading while walking and talking in a new city. Were we being malicious and trying to "get one over on them?" Certainly not. I apologized profusely and offered to pay a premium for the one hour of parking we owed. What I REALLY don't like is that we were completely taken advantage of by this company as tourists for an amount that would be illegal in many other trades, and our view of Memphis is one of bitterness now. Even though our company has done lots of business here in the past, I have no desire to return at this point. This company is a blemish on the entire city, and although I thank all the great people that offered us kind words and sentiments tonight, we will not be back. Let's all help get the word out about how poorly this company handles customers, business transactions, policies, and people in general. Shame on you, Central Parking Memphis! And you! Fellow Yelp reviewers. Don't let other people fall prey to this. Tweet, text, e-mail, Facebook...do what you have to do to encourage people to stay away from this company and possibly Memphis as a whole if they are the only option!

A month later I received a letter from Parkway Corp saying I had to pay $95 or it would refer my transaction to a collection agency. I followed up by phone and was reassured the matter would be resolved. One month later I received a second letter. When I called, the rep said they would settle the matter for $12 ($9 more than the original cost) and would not allow me to speak with a supervisor. After being a loyal patron of this garage for years, I never will go back.

Parking Can Be Expensive…read more This company has predatory business practices. This is the garage I typically use when I go downtown ... which is a few times every month. Anybody that uses the garage knows that you pull in, and then pay the attendant or machine on the way out. We came downtown for a comedy event ... was pouring rain ... and we were running behind my intended schedule. In my haste parking, I totally missed the signs saying "text to park". When we got back to our car 2.5 hours later (rain had passed, weren't in a hurry), I realized my mistake ... promptly pulled out my phone ... and paid for 24 hours (MORE than the listed event rate.) Next morning I have a text telling me to pay $50. I disputed, sent them screen shots where I paid (admitted before I left the garage versus when I pulled in). Next day, got another $50 notice. So I paid these guys. And guess what ... even though online payment is the only method, they charge a $5 online payment fee ... so the total was $55. Soooooo ... never again will I use them or any lot they have in Memphis. And I'll share that info with anyone that will listen. Have the receipts to back up all I've shared.

When I got in my vehicle, a rough looking approached it yelling and cussing at me, wanting a ride. I drove away and he was walking behind my vehicle, continuing to insult and berate me. I am visiting here from out of state. The area is dangerous.

(I also choose the lot right across from the Orpheum, but that is sometimes checked rather frequently and I'd rather not lose my car due to towing) The tower has 6 floors and a wide range of spaces to park in. It has a stairway that can be accessed to put you on Second St or an Elevator which will bring you within the *somewhat lobby of the* Gayoso Place, which is an apartment building downtown. If you're looking to do some nice walking or even looking for restaurants, this will put you directly across from great places such as Aldo Pizza, Majestic Grille, Flight, and Maggie Moo's (Ice cream shop). Beale St is a short walk from the garage as well, so it's a good place to park if you're into walking anywhere downtown. If it's a sunny day, make the time and walk around for some good fun! I can promise you'll enjoy it!

I was turned away by the parking attendant (not associated with Best Park) and told I could not book the lot ahead of time, so I had to park somewhere else as I didn't have cash. The other lot cost me more than double what I had paid ahead for Best Park. The third-party site, ParkMobile, could not refund my money, and I was told to contact Best Park. I spoke to Darrell Yancey, Assistant General Manager with Best Park, and he was so helpful and friendly and apologized that I had this issue as the lot should not have even been available for booking on the third-party site. He assured me that he would refund my payment, and I appreciate his positive and kind attitude and willingness to assist me so that I would not be out even more money for the parking. Thank you, Darrell! I will definitely use Best Park again in the future as there are obviously kind and courteous people in management!

It's advertised as secure, but the the gates to go in and out have not worked in months as well. And on top of that, at the end of 2025, they took away 20+ parking spots for an even more "premium" parking subscription on the second and third floors, so you will probably have to park on the fifth floor. Also think it's worth mentioning, after the parking garage was torn down where they're building the new Brooks museum, all the parking garages went up. It was $55 a month to park there.
