After cataract surgery five years ago, I have experienced dry eye in my right eye that blurred vision and was painful. Tried many different Doctors with no improvement, was referred to Dr. Eric Drake. The treatment included IPL therapy and Prokera membranes. Paul Gooch highly recommended that I not have my cataract surgery done locally. instead he convinced me to go Monson Vision in Logan. He said that i could only get the very best Clearview 3 lenses there. They are such high quality that Medicare would not cover them so it would all be out of pocket (9K). He said that when the surgery was complete that I would be able to throw away my glasses, that I would be able to see clearly near and far and wouldn't even need readers. That was in October of 2024. My vision has been cloudy in both eyes ever since. I have been back to see Paul and he has written two prescriptions for glasses, neither of which is any better that my poor vision without them. He has given me no explanation for why this has occurred. I've been to other specialists to see if I can have these removed and replaced and was told that I might end up with a detached retina so I'm stuck with these. I also wrote an email and a letter to Bryan Monson who seems to be good friends with Paul. I described my experience and have not received any response. To say that Paul Gooch overpromised and underdelivered is an understatement. Not sure what his exact relationship with Monson vision is but I can tell you that trusting Paul was a huge mistake. My family and I have been going to southwest vision for our annual eye appointments for over 5 years. We grew to expect high pressure sales situations and just prepared to turn down expensive treatments and glasses that were very forcefully suggested by the physician and staff. On my most recent visit, the physician doing my exam did not wear a mask and then insisted I take off my mask during the visit. As a healthcare provider myself, I found the behavior inappropriate and unprofessional. With the combination of high pressure sales and the ill advised safety behavior, I will be taking my business elsewhere and recommend others do the same. read more

I went in to see about getting an appointment for my dry eyes (I had heard an advertisement about a seminar on the radio) and was treated very disrespectfully by this business. I have never in my life see a business act so unprofessionally, they must not need business. I left a review on Facebook, soon after I was contacted by one of their front office staff through Facebook harassing me to remove my honest review of their rudeness and my experience with them (Which shows a lack of professionalism). Later, one of the Doctor's asked me on Facebook to call and speak with either them or one of the other Doctors. When I called, I was told by the front office staff member that the Doctor does not take calls and is unavailable. It is unfortunate that their front office staff is lacking such basic business protocol skills; this whole thing could have been avoided had their front office staff acted in a civilized professional manner. That is business hires such unprofessional people to be their first point of contact speaks volumes to their business module giving way to poor customer service, unprofessionalism, and bad reviews. I will never recommend SouthWest Vision to anyone I have and will continue to tell others to go anywhere else in Southern Utah for a better experience. I've been going here for a few years off and on. I spent way to much money on the glasses just over $2,000 for two pair. Unfortunately I lost one pair and the other the Crizol lenses coating was wearing off in various spots including the edges. They replaced them at no charge and were very Courteous to me. Their customer service was good. Now it's been roughly two months and now one of the lenses dropped out of the frame of the Oakley frames that I purchased. I fail to see why I spent so much money only to have the product barely last 1 year. I am not hard on my glasses I have an office job. Other places offer glasses for so much less so what am I getting for my extra hard earned money? I though I was spending extra to get a higher quality product but it appears it's not the case. read more

all they want is money, I came in for a normal exam, by the time i was done, i needed to glasses with certain lenses, it ended up costing me 950.00 out the door, when i got my glasses three weeks latter, i tried wearing them for about a month, after that time i realized i could see just and good with the glasses as without. So i went back in telling them the glasses did not help me see any better. So after another eye exam and another 120.00 latter, they told me my prescription had changed and it would be another 250.00 for new lenses. So i went to costco and got new lenses for 55.00 total.
