WARNING: DO NOT BUY FROM KIA MESQUITE I purchased a vehicle from Kia Mesquite that was represented as structurally sound and accident-free. However, shortly after taking possession, I discovered SEVERE, obvious frame damage--the kind of damage that should have totaled the car and made it completely unsafe to drive. Their own technician missed (or ignored) it, yet somehow noticed a faulty seat roller. The damage was visible without any disassembly and confirmed by an independent shop. The dealership knowingly violated the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA) by selling a car that was clearly unsafe, misrepresented, and of significantly lower value than what I paid. A CARFAX report they provided conveniently showed no wrecks, yet the frame tells a very different story. When I brought this to their attention, General Manager Wiley Jackson offered zero acceptable resolution. Instead of making it right, he attempted to upsell me a more expensive vehicle--as if I should reward them for deception with more of my money. Even worse, Mr. Jackson unilaterally voided my purchase contract without my knowledge or consent, effectively breaching our agreement and leaving me in limbo. When I asked for the dealership's legal counsel contact information, he outright refused to provide it and ceased all communication. This experience has cost me time, money, lost wages, and serious stress, all because Kia Mesquite chose to put profit over safety, honesty, and basic ethics. If you value your money, your safety, and your sanity--stay far away from this dealership. Their conduct has been deceptive, negligent, and utterly unprofessional. I'm now pursuing legal action and reporting them to the Texas Attorney General, the Texas DMV, and the Better Business Bureau.

Sale based off of lies We agreed to buy this Honda only after being told we would be receiving two keys. I even said I wasn't signing if we didn't get that second key, and Eli told us they had it and could come back to pick it up since the key department was already closed. Instead, we were given one off-brand replacement key with a weak signal and no remote start, not the original OEM key. When we went back to ask about the second key, the front desk told us, "We never give two sets of keys on used cars," which completely contradicts what we were told during the sale. In text messages, Eli said he was trying to get management approval for the second key and the floor mats and later said both were denied, even mentioning the previous owner was supposed to return the key, another contradiction to their story of having it in their possession. On top of that, before signing we pointed out a tear in the interior flooring and were told it would be taken care of, and that hasn't been addressed either. At this point it just feels like things that were discussed before signing suddenly changed after the deal was done, and we just continue to get a runaround. Update: It's been 4 weeks since I made and posted this review on Google, and they have yet to reach out or do anything about it.

Defective Kia K5 tire.

I paid 31850 dollars for a new KiaK5 8/17/2024. Sept 13 I see the sidewall bubble. This car is all of 3 weeks old. The service manager tells me I wrecked and I damaged the tire, and it is 35 dollars and a 2 hour wait to get a tech to weigh in on it. The tire has no cuts or pinch damage. Southwest Kia service in mesquite is angry, overworked , probably not paid enough, and the last thing they want to do is make it right for the guy who just financed a 30,000 dollar car with them. I like Kia, I love the car. But I will never ever recommend Southwest Kia on Oates service. They are just terrible and insulting.

I have been going here for years, even if I have to pick at another store I make sure they get the…read moresale at their location. I do mostly diy stuff. I here at least 1 or 2 times a week. They still offer premium brands like wagner, moog and borg warner. folks are friendly and willing to help, the do get a bit overwhelmed because there's typically only 2 people at night no big deal. I also suggest, know your vehicle, read your manual or at least be somewhat informed of what you drive. these guys are not mechanics and they sell parts. If you come in here trying to get help yeah they will help to the best of their knowledge but don't sit there and cry that didn't fix your car, fix your own shit or take it to a mechanic, if you are in the area go to triple A they are fair and honest. I recommend them personally.

Before purchasing, I asked the salesperson a very specific question: If this battery fails within the 2-year free replacement window and I receive a new battery, does the new battery come with a fresh 2-year warranty? I was told "Absolutely." To be certain, I asked to speak to the store manager, and received the same answer. In May 2025, just six months later, the battery completely failed. I went to the AutoZone on Ross Avenue to replace it (because that was the closest store to where it died). When I explained what I had been told about the warranty resetting, I was met with a completely different response. I was told flat-out that the warranty does not restart and was treated with condescension for even suggesting otherwise. No attempt was made to explain the discrepancy--just rude and dismissive behavior. At this point, I'm unsure which store gave me incorrect information--but one of them clearly did. I was very clear when I asked my question at the time of purchase, and I relied on the answer I was given when making the decision to buy. The battery failing after only six months is disappointing enough on its own. But being told different things by two separate AutoZone locations--and being treated poorly in the process--is unacceptable. I expect consistency from a national chain, especially when it comes to warranty terms that directly affect the customer's rights and expectations.

See, if you're a girl and you go to that other auto parts store - ya know, the one that rhymes with Motto Hone - you're pretty much on your own. You're expected to find the right windshield wiper blade for your car, despite the fact that there's an entire wall devoted to them. Then, you're expected to actually know how to put it on your window. (if you're a girl that has all of this knowledge - more power to ya, sister) Not at O'Reilly. Not only do they have a nifty little computer that helps you match your car's make and model to the correct size blades, the guys behind the counter will actually leave the counter and come put the blades on for you. Or change your blinker light. Or show you where the oil goes vs. where the transmission fluid goes. (they'll also come out in the middle of a rainstorm to check your dead battery, even though your husband is there with you) I'm not saying I don't know cars because I'm a girl, nor am I saying that the employees of O'Reilly are only helping me because I have boobs. I'm just saying that this is the store that goes that extra little step to help a girl out. And that's really all that counts, right?
