When asked to catch a few extra things (other trees that the big tree had fallen on), it was not an issue and honestly didn't take them but maybe 5-10 extra minutes. Other places only cut exactly what the estimator said and nothing else. They were easy to work with. We did not get a written estimate (which I usually insist on), but we had used them before for smaller jobs. I've noticed they often did not return calls to others. They came the next day for us for the estimate and scheduled the job for the next day or two, but that may be because we let them know we had used them before. JJ Garcia Tree Service did an outstanding job from start to finish…read more They originally came out to trim my 50+ year-old oak tree and my 40+ year-old magnolia tree. The massive oak had been overshadowing the magnolia for years, limiting its sunlight and airflow. Their crew carefully opened up the canopy while preserving the beauty and character of the oak. When they were finished, the canopy looked absolutely incredible--perfectly balanced and still the centerpiece of my property. Driving up to my home, it's the first thing you notice, and it honestly looks even more beautiful than before. Fast forward a few months, and I noticed several large dead limbs on the magnolia that never recovered. I assumed it was my responsibility since I had waited so long to call, and I fully expected to pay for another service visit. Instead, JJ Garcia Tree Service responded to my message almost immediately, came out promptly, and removed the dead limbs without hesitation. That level of customer service is incredibly rare today. They stood behind their work, were professional, responsive, and genuinely cared about making sure everything looked right. It's hard to find contractors who not only do exceptional work but also continue to take care of their customers after the job is complete. If you need tree trimming, tree removal, or simply want honest professionals who take pride in their work, I can't recommend JJ Garcia Tree Service highly enough. They have earned my trust and will be the only company I call for any future tree service needs.

Our neighbors, who are highly intelligent scientists, researched companies to take down their trees. They wanted a fair price and a company with insurance. They had several companies come and give estimates and picked Tree Solutions of Texas. While the company was working on the neighbor's trees, I inquired about a quote on removing our trees. (At this point I heard a different neighbor say they were quoted $6k to take down their 2 trees, so I was nervous how much Tree Solutions would charge.) Our estimate was $1000*! This included tree removal, haul away of the main trees and stump grinding. *We opted to NOT pay an extra $250 for the mulch removal. (In hindsight... it was about 70+ garbage bags of mulch that weighed about 50lbs+ each... yowza.) When we officially accepted the offer, we only had to wait a day or so for the company to come out and take the trees down!!! No waiting weeks on end! The crew that came to take down their trees were friendly, professional and VERY efficient! They had the trees down in no time with NO damage to our property. Later that day, a gentleman came to grind the stumps and surface roots. He was so wonderful and helpful, adding that if we find any additional roots, they would gladly come back out to grind some more. Well, fast forward and we did find some more areas that needed work and they were out the next day to grind some more at no extra charge! Great job from start to finish!! We personally highly recommend Tree Solutions of Texas and have told ALL our neighbors about this company!!

The circular mound of cuttings and dirt was left as expected and we put our trampoline over it for summer. Then we go to level the ground to lay down sod and realize WOW they left huge central roots and all were at or just below surface level. To clarify, these were all within the circle they dug up & we did not expect all underground roots from the backyard removed. We had to spend hours trying to hack the superficial roots so we could put down the dirt and sod on top. It delayed our whole project and felt totally misled by the company. I messaged them and sent photos and they wrote a snappy email saying they'd come in a few days after the holiday as a major courtesy to us. By then all the sod would die so we had to do our best and spend hours completing that they should have done initially especially for $1461. What a racket. So don't hire this company and if you do, be ready to micromanage and triple check the work

Less than 4 hours later, the tree was gone, and the stump grinder had done it's job on the roots! We got a fair estimate, and Terry offers a senior discount. I highly recommend! *****
