Randy is very casual, up-front, and direct. I called him asking to clone a key for my Lexus. He quoted me ~$100 to set me straight. However, an hour later he called me back and said he did some thinking. He told me that for my situation I might be able to fix my key much cheaper by ordering parts online and doing the fix myself. I very much appreciate this gesture, and appreciate people like Randy as a whole. He could have easily taken my ~$100 and provided his service, but instead I can fix my issue for around $10, no locksmith or machine required. I will update this review if I end up needing his service! Due to his honesty, I will be surely recommending this locksmith to everyone. Note: Randy is VERY casual, so do not expect a snooty, white collar experience! Also, don't call him with no caller ID, or through Skype. The only catch with buying those is that you need a locksmith to program both the keys and the fobs. You cannot do it yourself without special equipment. I did a little research and came across this business. David was very responsive and we set up a date and time to meet. He has a mobile shop, so he has everything he needs in his truck, so it was easy for him to come to me. I had an event downtown and he was able to meet me there. He programmed both of my fobs and cut two keys in about 10 minutes. I was amazed. He was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I had one key made and fob programmed at the dealer a few months ago and it was more than double the price I paid. And they only did one set at the dealer. I got two done. I also waited much longer than I did with the Key Boss. They also offer many other services including lockout service, roadside assistance, and rekeying. Their locksmith might be based somewhere in the state, but I find that a long way from "local". So far, Im not impressed with either Yelp or this mystical "local" locksmith. I need this done, but I wanted a reliable, close-by craftsman, not some guy from wherever that wants to know my home address when I can meet him in said Ford elsewhere. We'll see how this goes. I'm also concerned about the cost. These keys are notoriously overpriced (thanks, Ford) but these people's price was very cheap. Makes me concerned for the quality.
