I happened to come across a tiktok for this place and had to try it. The inside was small but we were quickly seated and waited on. There are so many options and we ordered way too much food but everything we had was great. We ordered the scallion pancakes, combo xaio dumplings (soup dumplings), spicy Szechuan popcorn chicken w/fried noodles, orange chicken w/white rice and chocolate bao for dessert. The pancakes were crisp and flavorful - not too greasy at all. We enjoyed the xaio dumplings again fresh and flavorful. My husband really enjoyed the Szechuan popcorn chicken- you could tell it was hand breaded and he said the spice and flavor was spot on. The fried noodles were flavorful and had a slight spice to them. (We originally were going to order reg noodles but our server let us know that reg noodles were just plain noodles so sauce or anything). The orange chicken was fresh and flavorful- everything had large portions! We honestly could've split an entree and still had plenty. The chocolate bao - so delicious- I still have dreams about this! A solid 3.5. I don't think corpus is known for their fine cuisine but this was pretty enjoyable. Walked in on a Friday afternoon with half my kiddos football team. Our waiter earned a fantastic tip for the party of 9. The popcorn shrimp dish was a little too spicy for my liking after I was assured it wasn't "that hot". The shrimp tasted fresh and were pretty big and juicy. I celebrated my recent 20 lbs weight loss by ordering double carbs for sides ...rice and noodles--both needed a little salt. My kiddo had a combo spicy soup that was too spicy for him but he did his best. Perfectly cooked veggies. He definitely received his recommended daily serving for the day! They make the xiao long bao to order and while the skin isn't as thin as I'd like they make up for almost half the dumpling filled with super flavorful soup! I am not sure if I am proud or embarrassed to admit that I have a friend who lives nearby, and once in a while we will get that itch and on my way over he will place an order for me to pick up during which we get one of...approximately everything. The fact that this has happened more than once is your biggest indicator on why I am leaving a five star review. Every dish, and I mean every dish, we have tried has always been delicious! It is so worth going in with multiple people so that you can try a variety of items in one sitting. The Xiao Long Bao are always the fan favorite. That burst of soup is always the perfect temperature and flavor. As for the dumplings, they are just as flavorful as they are colorful! Be sure to order a few different ones to really get the full experience. Moving into more westernized territory, even the classics like the cream cheese wonton are a hit. Truly a winner of a menu whether you are ordering the hand pulled noodles, to the black garlic ramen, it is always a 10/10! Not to mention, the staff are always so kind and thoughtful - and on top of it, quick! The food is always served hot and handmade. The spicy wontons and edamame were perfect starters for our combo kung pao which had the most satisfying sauce. We also got desert cheesecake baos which were amazing fresh and hot. The service is knowledgeable about the menu and able to give great recommendations. LOVE THIS PLACE. We ordered the youpo noodles and it came with chili glakes and raw garlic. It tasted so fresh! We also got the colorful bao to try the dumpling flavors. The chili oil it came with was perfect. We tried the braised beef stew and the beef was perfectly cooked. The flavor was amazing. We also ordered the pan fried beef bao. Definitely dip those in the chili oil as well! Last but not least, THE SZECHUAN POPCORN TOFU. If you're not a tofu fan, order a different protein, but the spice and herbs were so delicious. This will definitely be my usual there. The tables were super clean and had plates and utensils set up. It felt so pretty and welcoming. Love the ambiance with the rope lighting and their plates were beautiful. Our server was Catherine and she was GREAT. She recommended the chocolate bao that had soooo much chocolate in it. First and last time visit. Food mediocre (Chinese buffet quality at double the price) and service non-existant. No lemon or lime for tea or food. They have a "please wait to be seated" sign. We were the first customers in the restaurant and although people in the kitchen saw that we were waiting, no one came to seat us. So after several minutes we took a seat. After 5 or more minutes of waiting at our table a very unfriendly and surly waiter came to take our order. No greeting, no smile, giving off an air that he was upset we were there. A second party entered the restaurant and when they were not attended too, they also sat themselves. A few minutes later we heard the surly waiter say, "apparently these people can't read the sign either". Those customers got the same shabby treatment, so apparently, our sin was seating ourselves. When we tried to pay our bill at the end of the meal, that also took over 5 minutes. A member of our party went to his car while other waited to pay. Food was okay but not worth a return. A Chinese buffet is equal to this establishment. It's a shame, I wanted to like it. read more

First timer. Dining in early and was a good move. Great service by Jordan who's suggestions for dinner were perfect and helped us navigate the menu. Had three kinds of noodles to enjoy - a fried (sautéed) rice noodle with shrimp, fresh hand pulled noodle and a clear glass noodle soup. All of them were delicious, perfectly cooked but I'll have to say that the thicker noodles were so much more fun to eat. Will have to enjoy the bao next time we are in town. Ok service and scary food. Order a soup with chicken, came out extremely pink and chewy. Soup also came with clear noodles which needed a warning that they are difficult to chew so when you take some in your mouth and start to swallow before you have bitten off, they end up getting stuck . Unfortunately, they were also extremely hot therefore burning my throat at the same time. Although the waitress was sweet, there was no questions asked why I had not hardly touched the main entrée/soup. When I declined wanting to take it home, she just took it away and that was the end of the story. You would think they would wonder why you were not eating it possibly not happy with it , some sort of problem. No further discussion other than just taking it away. This is my fourth time trying this restaurant. Give them many chances, but they always seem to fall short.
