We would highly recommend Ivan. He installed our sun screens and sliding glass door screen for us. He was on time, listened to how we wanted them installed and put them up perfectly. We would definitely request him and use Southgate glass again. read more

Thanks to Brian Simas, Mitch and his crew we are thoroughly enjoying our 23 Andersen 100 Series windows with Heat Lock up here at 4000'. This was a full replacement job, it took them 8 days and they did an excellent job. Thanks Again, Kevin Silliman read more

We are thrilled with our new windows! Jim Boller came and bid the job. He was polite, courteous and explained everything. We thought we would go with a different install but Jim explained how the retrofit would work and exact costs so we chose the retrofit. We scheduled the install and the crew showed up on time. They explained exactly what they were going to do and how long it would take. Eric and Antonio were amazing at their jobs. Southgate Glass has been around a long time. We now have windows that are energy efficient and bring so much more light into our home. We would use Southgate all over again. read more

I have used Southgate Glass for all my glass replacement needs for over 40 years. They hire good, friendly people who aim to please, whether you are talking about the office staff or the technicians and installers. They are fast and the materials and workmanship is excellent. Southgate Glass will not disappoint. read more

Not a good experience, I will not be back! Poor customer service at the Carmichael store. Dealt with two representatives who were very insistent that the product they wanted to sell me would work. I asked them if I can borrow a screwdriver to verify the information they gave me and they said they didn't have one! I tried to tell them that I previously purchased the product I needed at the South Sac store but still didn't listen to me. I gave them the benefit of the doubt drove all the way back home to Elk Grove and tried to make it work but it didn't as I had suspected. I should have trusted my instincts and not buy the product. They seriously need training in product knowledge and customer service. Very much a waste of my time! read more

My wife and I keep hiring Southgate Glass over and over because they do such a nice job. ALL of their employees are kind, courteous and professional. To date, they have changed out our back patio, sliding glass door, installed the frame-less shower surround for our newly remodeled master bath and just last month they replaced all of our windows. We couldn't be happier with the pricing and quality of work. Just for comparison sake, Renewal by Anderson was asking over $70k to replace our windows (and we were assured by the Anderson estimator that this was a good deal). The Southgate estimate was only 30% of the Anderson "good deal". The Milgard windows that Southgate installed were "exactly right" for our home. We don't regret spending the money, not one bit. read more

Last year the rabbit spooked the cat and she catapulted through two glass shelves on my grandmother's wrought iron plant stand. Fortunately Ziggy and Coco were both fine but the glass was scattered around my living room. I was at a loss as to how to replace the glass and I figured having custom glass cut was going to cost me more than I was willing to spend so I didn't make replacing the glass a priority. I found Southgate Glass by accident as I was driving down Walnut one day recently and decided to take my chances. I discussed the specs with Anthony and while I would have preferred the class cut to 3/8 to prevent further mishaps with the cat, it turns out that 1/4 was more in my price range so I went with that. I ordered on a Saturday and picked up a few days later, not a bad turnaround time, and the glass looks great. They're not open past 5pm on weeknights but Saturday hours are convenient. Friendly staff and a showroom full of all things glass. read more

Great service and pricing! From a simple re-screen to glass table tops, im a happy customer. Shopped prices with competitors and Southgate was the best! Would go back to them in the future. read more

No , follow up after committing 90 minutes of my time . So disappointing . Southgate was aggressive to get the lead and appointment booked for a free estimate but failed there after to ever follow up on the visit from Jim. I was told it would take a week to receive a written quote. It's been 13 days and crickets .. nothing. I hate to waste my time with Sales Rep you fail to deliver on their commitments. Don't waste your time . read more

We had a rough start at the beginning of the process but a big "THANK YOU" to Saul, Larry, and Scott for making it right. We had 23 windows and a French door installed. I couldn't say enough of an "AWESOME" job that Southgate Glass staff did! We are beyond satisfied of the work! Thank you Frank, Eddie, Tom, Alfonso, and Cameron for your professionalism!!! Scott, you have a bunch of great guys! read more

Very helpful and prompt . Happy with my product. Appreciated the respect for covid rules. Prices were best I found in the area.

Southgate Glass installed a beautiful slider in our home. The project included opening a wall and creating a larger space for the window. The slider looks great and was installed in a very clean and professional manner. When we had questions, the service department answered in a timely manner. During construction, the workers were kind, polite and kept a very clean work space. We hardly knew they were there. My father in law is a retired contractor and he even commented on how nice the workmanship was when he saw the project. On top of all of that, we had an issue with the screen door. It was a design flaw by the manufacturer, not Southgate. Nonetheless, Southgate acknowledged the issue and took care of the issue immediately. In an industry filled with companies that don't manage projects or their clients well, Southgate stands above the rest. I will use them again and give my highest recommendation to the business. read more

These guys are awesome! and get the job done fast and at an unbeatable price whether it be a small or big job. I broke large a wedding table top glass with a mirror finish. This business will charge you for unnecessary parts and labor. Beware of Southgate Glass.

My boyfriend told me about a wonderful glass place around the corner from where he lives, and we decided that he should take my end table to get glass for it cut there. They told him the glass would be ready in a week, but it took them a month and they never called us to notify us it was ready. We went in to pick it up and they loaded it into our car. When we got home we realized the glass was cut wrong, and the glass didn't even fit on the end table. I known they were aware that it was not fitted right. We took it back to them and they told us it would be ready within a few days, but the week passed and we didn't get a call from them again. He had to go looking for them once again. I am very dissatisfied with the way they do business and feel that it was sneaky of them to give us merchandise knowing that it was not satisfactory. The wait time and follow up call was disappointing. Go elsewhere. We appreciate the apology, but not the inconvenience or excuses. It absolutely was his intention to sneak the table top into our car and Yes, the second one was a perfect fit. Thanks Scott. read more

Shower door handles and a custom cut tempered glass insert for end table, needing special cutting. Great service, and beautiful showroom.

Southgate Glass came to repair the broken handle on our French door. He repaired it quickly and then did not even charge us! The entire exchange with this man - from giving us updates on his arrival time to the fast repair was professional, friendly and easy. Free! Who does that? We will most definitely call them when installing new windows in the near future. read more

My review is split into 2 parts. Part 1 - Sales: I went into Southgate Glass to buy all new windows and doors last November. I signed a contract with Brian in December and was told it would take 6-7 weeks for the windows and doors to arrive. Christmas, New Years, passed and no word from SG. I called them multiple times to get updated information which was pretty minimal. I called again in MARCH! and was told that my windows and doors would be installed in April. That's 3 months later than I assumed and was told. Not Good. Part 2 - Installation: The crew that came out to my house and installed all of the new windows and doors was stellar! Antonio, Carlos and Aristeo did a great job taking care of all of the details, and they cleaned up inside. We had a big rainstorm on Day 2 and they just rolled with it, but didn't track a lot of dirt into the house. Walk through with Antonio was great - he listened to my questions and went out his way to create a fix for a few of the issues that came up along the way. These guys were excellent and saved my opinion of Southgate Glass. read more

I was very impressed by the customer service, responsiveness and professionalism of Southgate Glass. We worked extensively with Cliff Whitmore, and he was extremely knowledgeable, and patient with me, with the many many questions I had. We ended up using another vendor for our windows, just because they had a brand that Southgate didn't, but it was a very difficult decision because of the excellence of our experience with them. I highly recommend their company. read more

We recently moved into a twenty one year old home that no part had ever been replaced or upgraded. The last item was an inexpensive, rather ordinary shower enclosure installed by the builder. We decided to replace it with a prettier unit and stopped in to Southgate on Walnut to shop. Kyle and Michael were more than helpful in making our selection. Installation was yesterday by installer-technician David. We are beyond satisfied with all dealings with Southgate and the quality and appearance of our beautiful new shower enclosure. Five stars and three cheers for Southgate, real pros. It was a visit by technician Tom in an emergency in our old home that led us to Southgate in the first place. read more

I've been doing property management over 30 years. I don't need help, just want good, quick service with no up-selling. I recently relocated out of the bay area and having to re-learn new suppliers for parts and services. I needed a place to get a piece of window glass cut for an old wooden frame. I started with Southgate Glass in spite of curiously 'black and white' reviews, just because they were only three blocks away. Spencer helped me right away, I got my glass with no problems in about ten minutes. This was about as simple as it gets in the glass business, but my experience was fine. Will definitely give them my business the next time I need to. read more

Got a glass here for my table, everything is fine but the glass definitely was a centimeter or two smaller than my table. Now liquid seeps in between the glass and table because it's too small. read more

Southgate Glass installed a new shower door at my home. They took all the measurements, set an install date and then came out for the installation. They showed up on time and ready to work--sadly you can't say that about everyone anymore. They allowed me to save money by removing my old shower door--which I liked. Other vendors I got quotes for wanted to do the "prep" themselves and charge me 50 bucks! All their office staff and installation crew were super professional and they did give me a cash discount, which is another plus! After the shower door I had them install a new track and wheels on my slider. My slider is some weird brand that I could never find parts for--Southgate did no problem and saved me the cost of a new door. BTW new doors are like a grad PLUS--this cost me 250 and works like NEW! Highly recommend them! read more

Ha ha! No idea about their product but I can tell you about their customer service. They mistakenly got my phone number confused with one of their clients and repeatedly called me for payment. I told them that they got the wrong dude and the wrong phone number but they kept calling over and over again. Honest mistake the first time, borderline harassment after the 10th time. When I finally convinced them that they had the wrong number I was told to expect a few more phone calls until they were all informed in their office. Really weird and super unprofessional. I know that if I do use these guys to pay my bill on time! They will harass the hell out of you if you don't! Disregard my star rate because their work might be awesome and I'm sure my situation is unique. Actually, you know what? Their customer service sucks! read more

Southgate Glass (not sure which location so I am posting to both locations) but Rick and Dave came out and installed a shower door for us and I love it. I have a 1959 ranch MAJOR fixer upper in a lovely neighborhood. I have had multiple experiences with a variety of trades people to assist in what is going to be years of slow restoration. The folks at Southgate Glass in Carmichael were nothing short of extraordinary. Every one of my crew was committed to making every step as easy as possible. Their commitment to honesty, integrity, professionalism, customeand expertise in their craft was mind blowing. I only wish all my jobs could have gone this easily. Thank you to Brian, Antonio, Eric, Larry, and Vernessa for exceeding my expectations! If I forgot anyone else please forgive and know I appreciate all of you. I still have 6 more windows to go so we will be hanging out again soon. Wanted to add that Matt did the most amazing job on the stucco. It is probably better than the original job! read more

My boyfriend ordered glass from these guys several days before a project that HAD to be completed over the weekend. The day we were supposed to pick it up, we got a voice mail from Southgate stating that the manufacturer didn't get Southgate's order and there would be a delay. There was no apology or offer to fix the situation, just "have a good day!". Boy was my boyfriend mad! He called and told them to cancel the order and that he would never do business with them again. Later on, Southgate called him back promising that they would go get the glass from somewhere else and do what needed to be done to it so we could pick it up the next day. The next day my boyfriend went to pick up the order and Brian was extremely apologetic - he even gave some extra services/supplies to make up for the inconvenience. Great customer service after an iffy start! The quality of the order was great and we were able to complete our project. The boyfriend is satisfied and says he'll go back! read more

I went to Southgate Glass looking for a new front door for my home. Southgate had a very wide selection of doors for me to consider and I chose a fiberglass double door with a glass insert and painted gray. When the day arrived to install the door the team arrived on time and worked very efficiently to remove the old crappy door and install the new one. They also installed new moldings outside and inside. The new door is gorgeous and seals perfectly. They also installed the new Baldwin door hardware I had purchased separately. I'm extremely happy with the door and the service I received from Southgate Glass. First class company. They kept me well informed every step of the way. I recommend them to anyone looking for doors or anything else they sell. read more

An all around poor experience from multiple interactions with sales staff, shoddy attempts to adjust doors and after months of waiting and having to pick up parts from their warehouse being put in a position to "fix it myself" I cannot recommend this business. If you are shopping for Anderson windows and doors there are plenty of other options - avoid Southgate Glass in Carmichael. read more

Great experience. After getting multiple bids for some new windows I went with southgate. Jim was great and explained everything and they kept us updated throughout the process. The installers did a great job and were very professional and friendly. Overall we were happy with the experience and price. A little more then home depot.. but definitely worth it read more

We ordered 2 French doors to replace 2 existing sliders. One of the doors required reframing and we also ordered a dog door to be placed into the wall. The day of installation, when the contractors arrived we were told that only one of our doors had arrived. Had we known ahead of time, we would've rescheduled as we had to place our dogs in boarding and it isn't cheap. The missing door was supposed to arrive later that day and I was called several hours later that it had arrived. At 5pm that same day we were called stating that part of the door was missing. We were told there was still a chance it could come in the following day and we could proceed as scheduled. It wasn't found and we were told it may need to be reordered (another 12 week wait). Luckily, they found it but not in time to complete within the scheduled time frame. So, they had to come out the following week again to install the second door. I emailed our project manager (Jim) and the general manager (Larry) about a credit for the additional dog boarding costs. To date (3 weeks later) I never got a reply from either regarding this issue. Jim did call me and offered to credit the $110 but this wasn't done and when I asked him 1 week ago about this (we paid in full at final installation) I was told he would look into it and get back to me and also send someone out to adjust the passive panel on our bedroom French door. That was 1 week ago and I haven't heard back. At this point, I want no further contact with this company. The contractors were fantastic but communication among the office personnel was awful. I heard multiple excuses during this ordeal including it was because a home show was going on....that Milgard messed up the door order....and that 98% of the time everything works out just not in our case. My advice-take your business elsewhere. You don't want to be the 2% read more

Very unprofessional. The screen I had repaired was sagging. I had to come back 30 minutes later so they could fix it. Then I get home and see it's 10 inched too wide! I go back and tell them they messed up. I told them I needed it done the same day. He says he didn't have any service guys to do it. Yet then who fixed it the first time? I was just there not one hour ago. The guy just straight lied. That really pissed me off so I left before I lost it. read more
