Based on my personal experience with ARC Elite Cheer I found the whole experience very…read moredisappointing.
Before enrolling, I was told three separate times that practice would be 12:00-1:30, and I relied on that schedule when paying in full. I later learned the practice was actually intended to be only one hour, and the owner acknowledged that the original timeframe had been communicated in error.
I also received a flyer with the time I stated and later saw multiple flyers describing the same program differently, including "Tiny Level 1," "up to Level 1 tumbling," "performance cheer," and "beginner cheer."
When the shortened schedule no longer worked for my family, I tried to resolve the issue privately and requested only a partial refund, allowing the program to keep the registration fee and payment for the one class my daughter attended. That request was denied.
I also had concerns regarding the uniform charge, as my daughter was never measured, and I later learned the uniform was apparently a rental. the flyer I received just said includes performance uniform and bow, not rental. I asked for documentation showing what had actually been ordered or purchased for her. Still waiting on this.
Separately, I requested verification of the USASF certification I had been told the coach held a level 7 and proof it was active during enrollment of my child, because I was unable to confirm it myself. Still waiting on this .
I was also removed from the app and lost access to billing information, so I requested my original payment records. Still waiting on this.
I have retained the messages, flyers, agreement, and other documentation related to my experience. I tried to handle this privately , but unfortunately we were unable to reach a resolution.
I was told I will be held to terms, that she on her end didn't hold herself too regarding me, which was "all changes communicated by email"
Your response does not resolve the concerns I raised.
Advertising that a program includes a "uniform" and later explaining that it is a uniform rental is misleading to me as a paying parent. Ownership versus temporary use is a meaningful distinction that should be clearly disclosed before payment. My daughter was never even sized for a uniform.
Regarding credentials, I requested verification of the coach's qualifications at the time of enrollment and when she coached my daughter. USASF provides a public credential lookup, which I checked. Based on my searches, the coach's valid status appeared only after complaints were raised. A current listing does not establish what credentials were active at the time in question. I requested dated verification, not private personnel records.
Your statement that families can request financial records directly also leaves out a significant fact: I already requested that my records be sent directly to me, privately, and those requests were denied. Saying records can be requested does not address your refusal to provide them.
Finally, the schedule issue was not simply a change in my "preferences." I enrolled based on the repeatedly communicated time of 12:00 to 1:30. That was later changed to 12:30 to 1:30. I attended one practice while trying to arrange help with my other children and make the revised schedule work. Once I exhausted those options, I explained that it was not workable. Attending that practice does not erase the change or my reliance on the original schedule.
My concerns remain clear disclosure before payment, verification of credentials during the relevant dates, and access to my own financial records. Your response does not answer those concerns.
