Buyer Beware: Any company whose employees write 5 star reviews for the company to boost the review score is not a company you want to conduct business with (and yes, a majority of the "5" star reviews are from
employees/owners/spouses- really pathetic ). So, where do I start? The beginning process of purchasing the pool and hot tub went smoothly( I canceled hot tub though after the pool mess- they took off 500 so I don't feel like I lost out but totally worth it if I did- I hope they use it to seek training on how to speak and treat elderly people). I was told there was a back order of the top rail cover (you know the part that keeps your children from banging their heads on a hard, sharp frame). Well, around the time install date was set up, I was told, it's no longer available because of Covid. I asked for another option that had been mentioned and a response of, "it's no longer available " was given again. I stated I may not proceed then and low and behold there was suddenly a solution and the top rail cover was found somewhere. I had to pick up and haul to my house too. The van got it done though! I shouldn't have had to do such though. When install began with a totally separate company (that sales lady called "our guys" I guess because the owner of the install company is one of the owners of Southern Pools and Spas ??) the excavation seemed to go as planned. It was a mess as expected. However, on Day 2, 4 days later and after a heavy rain, the excavator operator, even with full access from my driveway - they had asked me to move vans- decided to drive in my
saturated front yard and down the side yard with a heavy bag of sand!!! They also ran over the water meter covers (not damaged), into my elderly neighbor's yard without permission ,(caused damage), over marked gas lines (almost damaged them according to ATMOS) all to drop one bag of sand in pool that could have been
dropped on driveway side!! They admitted fault . They had wanted half upfront which made me uncomfortable and they were not, as unlicensed contractors, supposed to ask for more than 1/3. I stopped payment to ensure (after that big mistake) that they were going to install pool properly and fix unecessary damage- no disclaimer for install company, SPEC LLC- Endless Excavation, was ever signed. They said they would fix it in writing and verbally. Their idea of "fixing" was actually trying to "hide and not fix it". The filled 1/2 foot and 1 foot ruts half full with sand, some concrete, chunks of red clay, maybe some seed and covered them with hayroll netting. I told them to please fix properly and I'd pay. The elderly neighbor lady was upset and called and they laughed at her and stated they weren't coming back out. They damaged her yard that they didn't have permission to or need to be on and laughed- so unprofessional, shameful, and disrespectful. They then filed an invalid mechanics lien through an internet company, LevelSet, that states on their legal page that they do not check the legalities, accuracy of the software user's documents. They did not follow lien laws/protocols so I ended up deducting what yard repair is going to cost, plus missing parts from the install cost. I contacted the internet lien company's fraud department, to inform them that an invalid lien had been filed. Coincidentally, it was removed the next day. I gave them almost 2 months to fix the damage. They ended up losing the sale of a hot tub, recommendations by me (2 people had asked me about where to get a pool), the money it cost them to file a bogus, invalid lien, and the money it cost to record and release the lien, and any pool chemical purchases, all because they didn't want to spend time filling large ruts with topsoil and seed properly even though they said they'd fix them because the damage was not a necessary part of install process. Not very logical. During install some plumbing for pump was not done properly, and even though it was fixed, it caused a significant loss of water from pool. Bolts had to also be tightened by another company that closed my pool. Wood around concrete collar was also left to just rot, I suppose. They also fail to disclose that unless you have hardscaping or decking magically completed after pool is
installed, the ladder provided is useless and semi inground pool cannot be accessed properly, easily (I asked for the outside steps, but the whole ladder still needed sand bags) Customers should never have to deal with arrogance and carelessness after buying expensive products and services. They advertise the Stealth as a pool as" Semi-In Ground Pools can be installed in as little as a few days and without tearing up your
backyard." LOL. They tear up your backyard, side yard, and neighbor's yard! Hopefully, this will never happen to future customers who choose this pool company again. read more
