I wouldn't recommend them for anything in the world and will be taking them to court to recover even after they said they would bring funds to reimburse us half of what was lost on our Murphy door project back in December, they also never followed through with that or correcting the poor job they did on the pergola. If you decide to deal with these people, you should measure everything yourself, because their measurements can not be trusted, and they will hold you responsible for any errors. Also you should demand an itemized estimate, showing the measurements and costs for every piece to be installed. And finally, do not agree to anything verbally - get everything in writing. Here's the story of my experience with them: They sent a guy to do measurements with a laser device, but when the installers showed up, they brought 4" backsplash to cover a space where there had been 5" backsplash. They insisted that I had requested this backsplash, which was absurd. It didn't cover the damage done to the wall after they removed the old backsplash. I absolutely did not request a backsplash that was not the same measurement as the previous one. When I talked to them about it they kept referring to a "contract" that I had signed, but they were unable to produce said document. The only document they provided was the one shown attached. The backsplash was not itemized. They insisted that I had agreed to pay $600 for the second backsplash on the day of the installation. Maybe I did, however at that time, I assumed that I would receive a credit for the incorrect backsplash. A couple of days later, I was concerned that this might not be what they were planning on, so I sent them an email clarifying that I did not want to pay for two backsplashes. (See attached) Someone (Nicki) from their office called in response to my email, and I reiterated that I didn't want to pay twice for a backsplash. Her response was "right!." When the installers showed up with the 5" backsplash, I assumed we were all on the same page. They went ahead with the installation, and when they were done, they presented me with a bill that included $600 for the new backsplash, and no credit for the incorrect backsplash. They would not accept any responsibility for providing a backsplash that simply did not fit, and that was apparently measured incorrectly in the first place. I paid the full amount (basically paying for two backsplashes) because arguing with them was making my 71 year old heart feel sick. Seriously, I'm too old to deal with this kind of crap.

I purchased $3,850 worth of quartz bathroom countertops and 3 sinks for our Asheville, NC house…read more The saleswoman was very nice at the Asheville store, but really was not very clear on what my responsibility would be regarding the 3 sets of faucets. I thought they would remove the existing ones (that would have to be done to install the tops) and just place the new ones I bought in place, but not hook them up. That is something you need to really understand if your project involves plumbing fixtures. Prior to the install after we had one person measure for the pricing, another person came out to re-measure, take pictures of the bathrooms, etc. The install was scheduled for mid-afternoon on Feb. 6th. The 2 installers show up at around 5 pm after I had to call several times to find out what was going on? The installation started out OK until they got to the main bathroom. The mirror had clips on the bottom, so that presented a problem that I guess the person doing the final measuring did not pass on to the installation folks. So, additional cutting, and a big mess, ensued. The job was not finished until about 9pm! I talked with the company manager, and his response when I asked for some compensation for their installation mess up, his response was No Way! I will say the final product looks great, but the installation process was a mess. Use this company carefully.

They said they would discuss with their boss and get back to us what they could do to fix it. We didn't hear from them so after four business days we called them. Owner had an attitude said our walls weren't straight. My husband asked the owner how many perfect walls he had seen. His answer was none. Which is true that is why we assumed they came and took laser measurements to insure a custom fit. The owner blamed the bow in our wall and took no responsibility and refused to fix the problem. My husband is a contractor so he knew that was not a good excuse. the owner hung up on him. I called back and asked why they didn't tell us they were having a problem getting it to fit to see what we thought and he hung up on me too. I definitely would not recommend these people!

We were given a 4 week time frame for completion, but it was a full 10 weeks before the counters were ready to install with no word from Preston or Home Depot about the delay. Unfortunately, the original template was done incorrectly and the stone cut incorrectly. The seams on the upbar and lower counter did not match, nor did either one match the corners on the wall. Nevertheless, the installation crew spent a full day installing it and tried to pass it off as acceptable. We immediately contacted Home Depot who then contacted Preston to fix the problem. It was several days with no contact from Preston. We tried to contact the manager of the stone department, but never did hear from anyone from Preston until they sent the owner of the installation company and someone to re-template. The templater pointed out significant errors in the original template and criticized the installation crew for knowingly installing an improperly cut stone, yet they sent the same company out for the second install. It was another 7 weeks after the original installation before the counters were re-done for a total of 4 months. Not once during the entire 4 months did ANYONE from Preston management contact us, even after multiple emails voicing our complaints with the quality of work and the extended delays. The second round produced a barely acceptable final cutting with a sloppy installation of the sink (glue seeping out from behind the caulking as it dried) which my husband had to repair. We tried to pursue a discount to compensate for the extended delays, poor quality work, and multiple days off from work to deal with correcting the problem, but again we got NO response. Home Depot finally was able to get them to agree to an insulting $300 discount, which amounted to less than 10% of what we paid. Take your business elsewhere. This business uses incompetent crews and there is no customer service to fix their sloppy work.
