it's all junk which is surprising the town is nice the merchandise is really slim pickings and expensive

We were in the area and decided to stop by. The parking is extremely small so we parked at the grocery store and walked. The place is not to big but they have a lot. They also had a sale rack for kids clothes and I found really good sweaters for a great price at the clearance rack. The guy who rang us up was Will he had extremely great customer service. He was nice asked us if we found everything we needed. He was just great. Overall good experience. read more

This Goodwill location can be great or just okay depending on what you are looking for. They typically have a decent selection of electronics and tech items, ranging from Xbox 360 controllers to retro portable TVs, that tends to rotate on a fairly consistent basis. I have personally scored near-mint condition Xbox controllers for $7.50 (online value $25) and an Xbox 360 Kinect sensor and cable for just $5.99. They also carry a large selection of movies/tv shows on Blu-Ray, DVD, and VHS which can be perfect if you're looking to pick up a cheap classic or expand your film library. That being said, they way this Goodwill location sticks it's video games is far from ideal. It would appear that they only ever put out around 20 games at a time, regardless of how much space is available in the shelf or how many games they actually have. New games only really get added when one's already on the shelf have sold. In theory this is a fine idea, but the reality is that there are some games that nobody really wants, making the turnover rate very slow with copies of Just Dance 2015 and Pocket Bible clogging up the shelves, stopping actual games from being made available. The staff is incredibly friendly for the most part, both good at their jobs and pleasant to talk to while checking out. A good experience of you know what you are looking for. read more

Only a few weeks away from Xmas and I've decided to check out Ashland's Goodwill Store. A small section of household goods such as glasses, kitchen wares. The majority of the space is clothing. A very small area with shoes. I was actually surprised to see the enormous amount of Xmas decorations. Not having grown up in the USA I ask myself: do people really buy new stuff every year? By the look of this I'm thinking they might do. This goodwill store is great for those who are interested in clothing. I'm glad I got to explore this a bit, it's not really for me but I'm sure it serves an excellent purpose to some. read more

I like visiting Goodwills and in general the people there are so kind but this one we've had several incidences with rude employees. Kindness goes a long way. I don't think I will visit again to this location. Life is too short to be around negative energy. read more

It is December 22, 2018, freezing outside, and I am dropping stuff off at the Goodwill. I get out of my car to help unload two plastic containers which I am also donating and this horrible middle age woman who works there is bitching at me for setting them on the ground. What a horrible person. She has no business working with the public who are trying to be helpful. I will, from now on, just call the Salvation Army. They are much nicer people to deal with. read more

Large selection of Women's Jeans! Hardly any Men's Jeans though. Theres a 5 item limit in the dressing rooms and you have to ring a bell to have the door unlocked. There is NO PUBLIC RESTROOM! The parking is very Disabled Friendly! :D The back side of the parking lot has a wheelchair ramp thats easily accessible. There's additional parking there due to not much being in front. One cashier there is a weird guy! There is a vending machine behind Women's Plus Size section (quite ironic). Theres not a whole lot of furniture/household items. Just a small Goodwill with mostly clothes, shoes and books. read more

11/12 was the date. 6-8 PM shift. Lady was quick to judge me based on my appearance because I wasn't wearing "name brand" shoes at the time. I could hear employees talking about me while I'm standing in front of them. Light skinned women with darker hair. Pretty much brown/brown. Given dirty looks and followed around the store when I have paid every single time even when employees forgot to ring up certain items...I reminded them that I still had to pay for what was not rung up. Crazy. I stop wearing expensive ass shoes and all of a sudden you're a thief. Was hoping to get away from the judgmental people, but they're everywhere it seems like. read more

I came here last June while I was in town for the Shakespeare festival. I'm an avid thrift store shopper and my experience here was great! I scored a cart full of books, some nice clothing items, and a few DVDs and video games, all in good shape for affordable prices! I'd recommend making a trip if you're in town, you never know what you'll find! read more

I was in town for the Shakespeare Festival. I had a heavy parka, but not a lighter jacket for walking around town. Ah ha, Goodwill. Found a lovely like-new Kirkland microfiber green jacket for about $8. Great for walking around town during the day. Wore both it and my heavy Parka for Beauty and the Beast at the outside theater. Had a terrible experience here yesterday. I had heard that Goodwill had lost its charm and had instead become a corporation of greed instead of a community store that offered affordable options for those in need. I arrived to donate a large assortment of high quality items, the first gentleman that assisted me was vaguely rude but tolerable. He stood by while I struggled to unload various awkward and heavy items without comment. He indicated where to put things as I one by one began to pull things out of my truck. Suddenly the manager appeared and began barking "no no! We dont take that"! One item after another. Beautiful lamps, an expensive wool rug, nice hardback books, a hammock stand, picnic basket set.. Suddenly everything I had, he would not take! All beautiful things that... had I the time, I could have sold. I told him I had just loaded all these items and driven 10 miles assuming without hesitation that Goodwill would easily take everything. I asked him if in the future there is a list online that would inform what they would not take. His response was a rude "No, it is all at my discretion"! I was forced to reload all of my items without assistance and left feeling quite irritated! In the future I will donate to organizations that appreciate and make use of my items. read more

I am a regular customer at this Goodwill store - I shop there 2-3 times a week. I got an incredibly rude attitude from one of the employees there. It was a lady in her 60's with longer white grey hair, wearing glasses. This sales associate started to take apart the cart of items I selected, which I set just at the end of the row not to obstruct the narrow pass in between for other people. As I turned away for half a minute, the cart was being emptied by the employee, who didn't even consider to ask aloud whose cart it was. Considering, there were no more than 5 people in that part of the store, which is tiny. I asked to get my items back, to which the SA snapped at me, picked up the pile of my stuff from wherever she took it and threw at my cart with mumble under her breath. I don't think she even thought to apologize. This is very disappointing, because I love that little store for it's selection and proximity to my home. read more
