I cannot remember how I discovered Salty Reef but when I spoke with Matt he seemed like the best fit for us. I appreciated how his payment structure was set so that we only paid for phases as they wrapped up (i.e. NO huge deposit). This came into play when we ran into some issues with the plaster company (long story) and Matt refused to demand payment until they came back, drained the pool, and acid washed/polished the plaster. Definitely a major inconvenience, however, Matt owned it until the problem was solved. Matt took an idea we had and certainly provided us with a pool that was better than we imagined and FAR superior to what Heritage was offering us. Most of the homes in our neighborhood used Heritage or Blue Haven. Heritage wanted an insane amount of money for things Matt included standard. For example, we ended up getting a tanning ledge and Matt included bubblers and an umbrella post holder. Heritage wanted $7,000 plus to install that. Also, Heritage wanted to grade the land from the pool ledge down to the lawn....this would have looked horrible the way our lawn sloped as evident by the final product each of our neighbors received. Matt immediately noted that a retaining wall was the best option and he charged us a very fair price. When we came to settle the concrete decking portion (that included the retaining wall), Matt actually charged us less than the estimate based on actual concrete used. One thing I learned during this project that patience is a virtue when dealing with so many sub-contractors coming and going and I know Matt did his best to wrangle the cats. He was certainly level headed and patient during the process, particularly when I can be a pain to deal with sometimes. In the end, we have a beautiful pool with so many extras that Matt included in the standard build package. My family is beyond excited for the work Matt and his team did and we are extremely grateful for the effort.

The products he uses are quality, the pool layout is well though out and his overall customer service was fantastic. While our neighbors eventually got their pools completed by the other builders they had multiple mistakes, issues, and delays. I would highly recommend Matts company Salty Reef Pools.
