Our new Heritage Pools at our vacation rental in Wild Dunes, Carolina Elegance, is impressive. This is the second pool that Michael Gesmond has built for us. Both of our pools have sport's bottoms (deep in the middle and shallow on both ends) and volleyball nets. We have guests telling us that they came to be at the beach and they end up staying in the pool all of the time. We have been quite pleased with Heritage Pools throughout the planning, construction, and servicing phases of the process. When we decided to build a swimming pool we explored a variety of firms and Heritage stood out from the others. They were always quick to return our calls, provide estimates, and adjustments based upon our views. We found their pricing to be competitive with other firms and they performed to the contract. Michael and his people put in a great pool for us and their customer service has not stopped after the job is done. Being 1st time pool owners we have ran into little questions here and there and Michael and his team have made sure to answer them all. We are also very confident in the structure of the pool after watching it be installed and it has even survived its first major flooding with no issues. I am sure we could have went elsewhere for maybe less money and it might have taken less time to install, but the quality of not only the product but the service before, during and after the installation makes going with Heritage Pools well worth it! I used Heritage Pools for 3 years to clean my pool. After the first year I pointed out to them that my pretty, 1 year old, blue pool liner was bleached white. They told me it was because of the sun. Fast forward 4 years later and my pool liner tore due to being so brittle. Why was it so brittle.....because Heritage never diluted their chemicals before adding them to the pool. So, I had to spend $6000 to replace a 5 year old pool liner that should have lasted 15-20 years. These guys do not know what they are doing. I wouldn't risk it! read more

I had massive damage done to my inground pool during the floods of 2015. When I went to replace the liner, in Spring of 2016, the walls of the deep end started crumbling. The pool guy I had used for the past 9 years said he could fix it but he couldn't and he made it worse. After calling a number of pool companies Heritage was the only one who was professional and communicative about everything. After deciding to go with Heritage it took me awhile to gather the money to repair the damage. Once I paid them a deposit I was on the schedule within a week. Billy and "Little Joe" were the two main guys who did the work and communicated with me. They were very thorough in their communications, explaining the day's work to me at the end of each day and the plan for the next day. They cleaned up their mess daily, which is huge on the scope of contractors and for sanity on your own property. They were nice, loved my dog, understood my concerns and went above and beyond what my expectations were. With such a huge job to tackle they made it seamless and worth the amount of money spent. I also appreciated that there was one office person, Christina, that I communicated with about payments and schedules and any other questions I had for the owner. She knew my job and I loved not having to explain things to a different person each time. I only wish that with paying $10,000, the owner, Michael, would have reached out at the very end of the jobs completion to make sure I was happy and satisfied with everything and that he was too. I also wish Michael included having the pool cleaned the day of completion, however they do provide chemicals to cover you for a few weeks. Also, once they had filled my pool up with water they had to drain it again to repair two spots, which wasn't a big deal except that Michael would not accept covering the cost of the water for the second refill. Michael also charged me an additional fee of $87 for a 200' hose that was needed to reach the proper drainage location for the job. I then asked if I could keep the hose since I had paid for it and didn't understand why I should be paying for his equipment, which he allowed, but what am I to do with a 200' pool hose? Other than that, I highly recommend the company, especially in a massive disaster situation. Just make sure to communicate daily about everything and ask upfront about any additional charges and why. One can only hope you have Billy and "Little Joe" as your head honchos. You won't be sorry you went with them as they know what they are doing and how to execute the job to completion. read more

This was an installation of a new, in-ground vinyl lined swimming pool in our newly constructed home. Heritage Pools performed all the installation work. This included the pool, plumbing, extended concrete apron/patio, high efficiency pump and filter system and a state of the art system controller. The work effort also included leveling the yard after extensive excavation and pool work. This did not include (but was offered) landscaping work to replace grass and sod. read more

To the Rescue: The water table in our yard is very high, and our pool is located just feet away from a lake. When another pool company dewatered the pool to replace the liner, the side of the pool cracked and a stream of water, sand and mud poured into the pool. Attempts to pump out the ground water from around the pool were unsuccessful. We were beginning to think that the pool was history. I spoke with some other pool companies in the area. They all recommended the same action - call Heritage Pools. Thanks to Heritage we now have a viable pool with a new liner. They systematically added well points and tested conditions until they were confident that the pool could be dewatered safely. Once the pool was successfully dewatered, they moved quickly to reinforce and repair the impacted parts of the pool. Their personnel were always professional and methodical in their approach. Michael, the owner, stopped by daily to assess the project's progress. We received explanations and thorough communications from Michael and his team throughout the process. I highly recommend Heritage Pools to anyone considering a pool for their yard, or in need of a liner replacement or other pool repairs. read more
