I have been wanting to try Prime Butcher for awhile. I…read moredecided to stop for a nice Sunday evening steak dinner with my husband. The store is very nice except it is a bit overcrowded with products. I could not get close to the meat case because of the other products in front of it. They have a large selection of items but all squished so it was a little hard to see things. I would definitely suggest they look for a much bigger shop. It would be wonderful and easier. This is the ONLY reason there are not 5 stars. I was helped by Tyler who was very nice, patient and knowledgeable. I picked two ribeyes, scallops, a bottle of wine and seasoned butter. Sorry, no pictures. The ribeye was tasty, flavorful and tender! You can not get anything like it at a grocery store!!! I can not say enough about how amazing it was!!!! The scallops were very good as well! I used the seasoned butter and everything was popping with flavor!!!! The bottle of wine was a bit dry, I prefer a slightly sweeter wine but it was good nevertheless. It was the best home grilled steak dinner I've ever had! For this quality of meat I expected to pay more and I did. My order was $176. I will definitely go back and try other meats and more that they had. I will need to save up a bit for another great ribeye though.

I'm a Philly girl and this isn't necessarily a traditional Philly cheesesteak, but I don't care - it was delicious! I've tried several others since we've moved here and this has been the best one. It comes on a delicious long roll, premium chopped steak, fontina cheese and caramelized onions. The sandwich is 10.5 inches long (yes I measured it lol) and it was only $12.50. Jersey Mikes charges more and can't even touch this bad boy. We will definitely be back again. Going to invite my best friend here for lunch soon. We also tried the corn cake - it was only $1 and was so moist. I've had cornbread before, but not corn cake. They have a whole list of other sandwiches to choose from also - I may have to try some of the others, but I'm going to have to get my cheesesteak fix taken care of first. They also sell homemade pasta, salads and all kinds of butchered meat (steak, etc.). Oh and it's inside the market area at Sawgrass Grove in the Villages. If you go around dinner time, you can grab a sandwich and sit outside, get a drink and listen to the live entertainment.

Employee should've noticed this before putting it in the paper bag and selling it to me. I guess I should've looked at it first but never thought anybody would do something like this to me.

WARNING: Not for my vegan peeps…read more I came into Meat Wonderfood with a delayed opening at another shop we were visiting at this strip mall. It is my birthday weekend and my husband tends to go all out for the entire month. When we came in we were greeted immediately by Alex he was knowledgeable and an amazing guide to the vast offerings available at this shop! In terms of beef this shop has select, prime, and certified wagyu options. I found my birthday steak but with lots of stops throughout our day. They held it for our family until Wednesday when we were back in the area! Everything is vacuum sealed and can last 30 days refrigerated. This is definitely your modern butcher and if you're a meat lover I highly recommend checking out their selection.

This store has a selection of meats similar to a churrasco restaurant or high end meat cuts (wagyu,…read moretomahawk, etc) for your home BBQ. I used to patronize a Wonderfood shop on Orange Blossom trail which closed but the new store has a wider selection of items. Cheeses, sausages, cold cuts, spices and sauces. The owners are Venezuelan and that country is famous for beef and churrasco. Bundles are available so you can sample a variety of meats and sauces at a discount. This is a little different from a traditional US butcher but make no mistake they offer very high quality meat. If you are serious about your BBQ or cooking steaks this place is heaven. They also offer advice if you are a novice.
