The boss who interviewed me recommended Glasgow tire, and being from out of town I took the recommendation. BTW, I got the job and moved to Glasgow, so they are my "tire guys" for life now.

We noticed the air in…read moreone tire was low at the start of our trip, so we aired it up and went on. 2 days later it was low again, we were in Glasgow, KY visiting my mother so we were about 300 miles from home. We looked for a shop with in-stock tires because we had to have it done quickly as we needed to get back home for work the next day. We walked in to Big-O tire and received fantastic personal customer service with the lady at the front desk, we were given a couple options as far as brands and sizes to fit our budget. We made our selection of a larger tire and decided to proceed. They began working on our vehicle and got a tire on and realized that our selection wasn't going to work flawlessly and informed us we could potentially see some rubbing at full turn. The General Manager, Brent, was walking past the vehicle and said, "no, we can't do that" proceeded to ask his employees what size we were looking for. They informed him that they did not have a set of 4 tires in the size we needed and were trying a size above. He then went on to make sure we were fitted with a perfect tire and really made our trip easier. I cannot express to you how this trip to this particular tire shop relieved us from a lot of added stress. I will always return here and recommend it to friends, family, and everyone else I meet.

They told me there was nothing wrong with the brakes. 2 weeks later I heard grinding. They then told me I had to have new brakes AND rotors. I was out of town and had little recourse but to tell them to go ahead. May 2017 my brakes start grinding all of a sudden. I took it back to them since they did the initial work. Was told I needed new brakes AND rotors. $300. I reminded them that all of that was done 2 years ago. They said they could warranty the brakes but not the rotors. I questioned if the brakes had not failed if the rotors would not be ok. Also how did both brake pads fail at the same time to ruin both rotors. They then said the rotors COULD be salvaged but their lathe was broken. Hours later they called me back to inform they replaced my brakes under warranty and my rotors as a courtesy because the lathe was broke. I owed $70 for labor. I NEVER authorized the repair but I agreed that was fair after the fact. My wife went to pick up the vehicle. The ticket says I owe labor only. The guy at the register questions why only labor and involves the manager. She added the rotors back to the bill which made it go from $70 to $190. The manager Heather then informs me over the phone that vehicle would not be released until the $190 was paid or she could put all my damaged parts back on and charge me the $70 in labor. I told her that Jimmy told me that I would only be charged labor and said she didn't care and those were my only options. $190 to have my fixed vehicle or $70 for my broken vehicle even though I never authorized the work. Spoke to the president of the company Dennis Bull at the Glasgow store but he supported the outcome.

They need to stick to oil changes because they clearly can't even properly balance a wheels and tire. Took a set of wheels and tires in to be mounted and balanced on the recommendation of a friend. They mounted them and then tried to balance them. They kept trying to balance on the back side of the wheel only. I told them that with this big tires that they should balance on both sides. They told me they do not do that. After several failed attempts to balance and 13 oz on one side. I told them again to balance on both sides. So they finally set the machine to balance on both sides but could not get it to balance that way either. That is because after changing the machine they should have removed all the weights from the wheel and started over. They didn't so naturally it wouldn't zero out. They finally told me the tires I had were too old and could not be balanced. That was the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. So I told them to just charge me for mounting them and I would go. They charged 72.00 for this!! That is robbery for what they did. I was charged for their stupidity and they wouldn't even give me a receipt. Left there and went straight to Big O and they balanced them with no trouble at all.
