Josh, the owner of IV Air, was the ONLY one who went through every part of my house to get a proper load calculation. I suppose the others just assumed they would replace like with like. The reason that an accurate load calculation is important is twofold: (1) today's equipment is much more efficient than two decades ago, and (2) one should never assume that their current heat pump was properly sized when it was installed way back when. Well, Josh determined that my 4-ton heat pump was way too big (and always had been). He recommended I downsize to a 2.5. Wow!
