After going through one of the coldest winters I can remember, I'm finally realizing how great of a product Trane can be if installed and maintained by the correct people. Which was not these people.
My experience:
I bought a Trane system from them years ago when they were called "Southern Goodman". I also signed up for their service plan (2 maintenance visits a year). I thought I was in good hands. Things were good in the beginning but then it started going downhill over the years. The technicians were getting worst, unprofessional and not consistent with their work. Then in December of 2024, I canceled my service plan after they gave me an estimate for a repair on an "intermittent" issue that they weren't sure of their diagnosis. I later found out that they weren't even listed on Trane's website as a certified/authorized repair company, which if they were, they would have seen the parts they quoted me were under factory warranty. After I had a certified Trane service company come out, we found out that after all the years of service there were screws missing, the temperature sensor was in the wrong place (which was the main cause of my problem), and refrigerant was low. read more
