Excellent service! Leaving Myrtle Beach south Carolina after a lovely vacation with my two…read moregrandbabies, my truck started acting up on me. I t was overheating. I stopped at an O'reilly auto parts store to begin diagnosis. The truck was not throwing any codes so i was baffled. I didn't make it very far when we left and it overheated and i pulled over in front of a shop which was fortunate for us. The shop wanted to charge an arm and a leg just to diagnose it but they did use a diagnostic tool and the verdict was there was air in the engine coolant system. We had to get a hotel room again for the night. I was not happy that the shop wanted to charge me $250 to install a thermostat and bleed the coolant system so i looked up mobile mechanics. Drew was the first to reply. Mind you i was trying this at 9pm. We had a conversation on Yelp then exchanged phone numbers, Drew offered to come tonight to see if we could get it running properly so we could begin our 1100 mile trek in the morning. i gave him a hundred dollars to buy a thermostat and antifreeze. He did come and try that night but it started getting pretty late so we made arrangements for him to come back first thing in the morning. he came back at 8 am as promised and proceeded to do the job which he did very quickly. The thermostat was not the problem. It was still overheating. Around noontime we decided it was the water pump. Again we got the pump and he installed it very quickly. The whole fiasco cost me $500 but had i had that shop do the work there is no doubt it would have costed me much more! I am very thankful and grateful that the Earth is inhabited by fellas that have a heart and consciousness and compassion. He s tuck with me all morning until my truck was running properly. I highly reccommend this service for anyone needing something don very quickly. It was nice getting to know Drew and now we each have another friend, Blessings to you Drew!

I purchased a new re-manufactured long block engine for my truck from Pro-Tech Automotive Services, Conway SC. It was installed in In May of 2024. Since then, the truck has been back to Pro-Tech Automotive Services many times attempting to resolve issues; oil leaks, intermittent stalling, and running rough. Some issues were resolved but the oil leaks continued. Finally after 12 months it was decided that the engine may be faulty in some way and a new engine was ordered for replacement. The second engine was installed in May 2025. It began leaking oil right away and the check engine light is constantly on. It is now 19 months since the first engine was installed and 6 months since the second engine was installed. I have requested Pro-Tech Automotive Services to remove the engine from my truck and refund my money. As of 11/13 Pro-Tech Automotive Services has not contacted me to discuss continuing to fix the engine issues or remove the engine and refund my money. So again, BEWARE if you decide to do any business with this company
