I discovered Salon 718 going to a Foodie meet up with my friends in the same shopping center…read more I have been going to Angela for over a year. I was so grateful to have stumbled upon her Salon. I have been searching for a salon and stylist that truly cares about the health of your hair and who knows how to cut hair properly. Most salons CANNOT cut hair professionally even though they charge you for said "professional cut." Angela will give you an outstanding cut. I firmly believe that my hair grew faster and healthier because of it. My hair was so damaged, tangled and breaking off from hormones and stress. Angela was so sweet and extremely informative about hair health and products. She has a pleasant and gentle energy that transfers to how she handles the service that you're getting. She is honest and gives you all the information regarding your hair as well as how to take care of it "after" the appointment. Every single time I go to Angela my hair looks and feels so healthy, shiny and gorgeous. My scalp feels clean and my my hair has so much body. My style lasts for 7 to 10 days guaranteed when I use a silk bonnet and minimal product. Angela is the best!! She is a hair SAFE salon! :) I don't have a photo but I will update my review on my next visit!

TWO STARS B/C THE FRONT DESK WOMAN ONLY…read more I have been a returning customer for quite some time here and have never had an issue until today. Kayla is AMAZING and has done my hair a few times now, very kind. The older lady with the accent that's normally at the front desk everytime i've been and never doing anyone's hair I understand why now. SHE IS SO RUDE!! She was also rude last time I was there and had the same service done last week for ~$30 and quoted me $45 for a blow out, when I asked she told me "I will never do that for $30 no one does" after just agreeing (because $15 isn't that big of a deal) she rollled her eyes and walked to her chair saying a few more things under her breath... I kindly told her I was okay and thank you anyways because why would I have someone touch my hair that seems upset with me they have to do THEIR job. I have NEVER had an employee so RUDE here everyone's always been AMAZING. First time I let off as her having a bad day, second time believe it's just her personality (or lack there of) that's nasty. Also no one else was in the store besides one other kind employee I've seen a few times and I felt like a burden. NEED A NEW FRONT FACE NOT THAT OLD LADY!

The Salon on the Boulevard is much more pleasant than any other beauty parlor in my experience…read more With only 4 chairs, restful pictures on the walls (& mermaids!) and she has a process by which hair dries w/o a dryer, also comfortable seating, even for the shampoo(!), I leave feeling almost as if I'd been in a spa instead of a beauty parlor. It's nearby and easy to find, just east of the Intercoastal. Taking Atlantic Blvd., you can't miss the signs for Florida Dr., and the Salon is at 2221, in the very first block off Atlantic Blvd., with ample free parking. I happily recommend as hairdresser there Victoria Gibson. She helped me decide to color my hair after several years of white, promising it was reversible, and found the exact shade that is perfect for me. I had sometimes thought that, although the redheads on both sides of my family were "carrot-tops", I'd like to try the more elegant dark red, so she gave in and tried it, and was very good about fitting me in for a redo when I realized that it did not go with my skintone--actually made me look angry! I've received several favorable comments on the color, and also on the style. As more white hairs started sprouting in my bushy eyebrows, we added to our routine trimming, shaping, and dyeing them. What a improvement! And you'll like her. She's an intelligent conversationalist, but never pushy, and a good listener (she actually remembers the names and locations of my sons). Her number is (904) 534-1144. But if she doesn't answer, please leave a message, as she may be with a guest or at the university for a class toward her advance degree, and will call you back, or you can reach her by email at vlgibson76@yahoo.com. Enjoy!

That alone should say a lot. Not only does she take great care of my hair, but she's also done several friends' and family members' hair over the years as well. I've recommended multiple people to her, including a few guy friends, and I've genuinely never heard anyone leave unhappy. One thing I really appreciate about Andrea is her honesty. I can come to her with inspiration photos or ideas, and she'll realistically explain the best way to achieve the look while still maintaining the health of my hair. If something seems too harsh or damaging, she'll tell you -- and then help create a game plan to safely get you where you want to be over time instead of compromising your hair just for a quick result. I truly value that level of professionalism and care. Andrea has well over 15 years of experience, and it shows. She's knowledgeable, talented, easy to talk to, and her pricing is very reasonable -- which is honestly hard to find these days. If you're looking for a hairstylist who genuinely cares about her clients and their hair health, Andrea is your girl. Highly recommend! Just look for a cute & bubbly dark headed Venezuelan girlie. So obviously Andrea is bilingual. (English & Spanish) which is a huge plus that allows her to connect with an even wider range of clients btw.
