Wait time is ridiculous. My parents are in their 80's. Each visit has been a minimum of 3 hours. We live 60 miles from the office. Too many patients on any given day. Doctors and staff are awesome. Scheduling is not so good. Could take over an hour to your doctor

You don't realize how important some things are until you think you will lose them-Like your vision. I almost lost vision in one eye due to a separated retina from an old hockey injury (I think).The staff did not do the surgery, but another local eye doctor did. The only problem was that I couldn't get "the other doctor" to tell me anything about the surgery performed or what to expect. He was socially inept. So I was referred to Dr. Breazeale by a family member. He is in high demand, so I had to wait a bit to be seen. Totally. Worth it! I will never go see another retinal doctor, so long as I can help it. Dr. B. is a straight shooter, which is what was missing with my other doctor. Dr. B. gets right to the point. Good, bad, or ugly, he will tell you what's going on with your eye. He doesn't waste your time or sugar coat it--at least with me he doesn't. That's what I told him I wanted from him because I was so frustrated with the "other'' guy. Also, I really like the way they bring patients back. You'll be in the waiting area (very nice area with coffee!!) and they will start calling names. They have enough staff where several people can be prepped to see the doctor and put in a room where he will come and see you. So, they take you and check your vision, ask the normal questions about if you have any problems this go around, and then dilate you. They take pictures of your retina and then you wait in a dimly lit room where they have a High Def television playing random animal kingdom shows in HD. Something in this room that I found very humorous. There is a framed Privacy Notice in the room. The only time I go in this room my eyes are dilated, therefore blurry, and I cannot read fine print. Well played, Dr. Breazeale, well played. So from there, they take you to the final exam room where the Dr. will see you. Very cool setup at this new location. There is a giant screen where normally he can show you the pictures of your retina and explain the pictures. While you wait, they play a live feed of animals somewhere in the world. I watched a live feed of penguins doing penguin things. Quite comical, surprisingly. I almost didn't want him to turn it off when he came in. Overall, this is a very comfortable environment to be in when you are there for very uncomforting reasons. I trust this doctor and, by the way, his staff is very pleasant. 2 thumbs way up! read more
