I hovered hard over 4 stars or 5 stars…read more Here's the only drawback that makes me enter 4 stars which is more like a 4.5 stars: 1) They do not accept cards. $$ CASH ONLY. $$ 1b) No bolsters for your legs just pillows. This was off putting but didn't end my world nor my life. Here's the 5 star service: cheers~ a) The location b) The cleaniness c) The open space. Aesthetically there's not a lot but it's nicely appointed from the lobby to the rooms. d) They have separate rooms WITH doors and they are clean with cute decor e) The students are appeasing f) Oil or Shea Butter (organic) or Lotion is utilized g) Scott is a thorough student that doesn't appear often. I wish I had 2 hours with him today but opted for only 1 before learning of his schedule. h) Previous student was a 2 hour visit that flew by. She was less chatty but quick to adhere to requests which is nice as I love pressure. i) Scott was more educational and trying to directly address the "problem" areas. I thought I would be bothered with the chattiness but it actually worked more like a copartner/team session to get rid of kinks. It's a different kind of relaxing as I was put at ease knowing he was making genuine attempts to fix whatever. j) My initial appointment was a no-show by the student so the clinic fixed this with a gratis 2 hour session. I was touched. I shouldn't have to ask for good service and the receptionist seems to have that understanding as well and offered it all without prompting or complaint. She apologized profusely which made me feel better as I headed back to work. k) IDK what took me so long to get back to bodywork but relocating to a brand new area with no real network made this task wait for all of two (2) years and I must say they are parallel to my day spa back in Wisconsin. That says a lot when these are students. I'd advocate for your visit. Just know different students offer different/diverse specialties and focus. Make a Costco run when you finish.

The appointment process is easy, they have certain days/times so call and book it! You fill out the usual paperwork so be prepared to do double paperwork, since after the massage they have you fill out a form about your massage for feedback for the student. Nothing to complain about here. It's easy to find, easy to make appointments and you get a kick-@ss massage for half the price!

My appointment was with Mai who is the owner and a trained therapeutic massage therapist. I can't say enough great things about her. I have been to others but she is beyond most. She is very knowledgeable of what is needed for your specific issues and she also helps you understand why you are having the issues. She is through, caring and also gave me instructions on things I could do at home. I will be seeing her a couple of times a week for a few Months. I highly recommend Mai. As far as the studio goes, it is as clean as a doctors office. Quiet, slight aromatic vapors in the air. A Zen feeling when you walk in the door. Everyone is very friendly but professional. The prices are very competitive with anything in the area. I would have happily used a student had it not been I need an excellent therapeutic massage. They do go to homes and work with hospice or people who are rehabbing. I highly recommend this facility

41 minutes ago New…read moreThis review is rated so low to express my disappointment regarding a recent couples massage experience at this establishment. I want to preface this by saying that if a client is seeking a relaxation massage, this is not the place. During our session, the massage therapist frequently answered phone calls and engaged in full conversations with potential customers, even going to the front desk to assist walk-ins. This significantly disrupted the flow of the massage, and unfortunately, no additional time was compensated for these interruptions. They also switched massage therapist in mid session for the new tech to fill in but she had cold hands. While apologies were offered, the constant disruptions were unacceptable. Furthermore, the massage itself was uncomfortable. The strokes were fast and, at times, painful. My massage therapist primarily used her forearms and elbows, which I assume was due to her smaller hands, but this resulted in sharp, pointy elbows being administered causing discomfort. Overall, I would not recommend this establishment and will not be returning.

I visited from out of state, so called in before coming to make sure no confusion happen. When we arrived the confusion started, but that was something small. Then the kicker is being charged before even doing the massage and asked for the tip. I've never been to a parlor asking for all this in the beginning. Then the massager was great. After the massage, another tip was asked about... which caused the confusion again because it was told my wife will be paying it all. They should welcome and make everyone super comfy. Then get the massage done. Then ask for the payment and tip because folks won't have to be thinking it's all about money. IF i visit South Carolina again... I might stop by again and we'll see how super it will be. I believe they can do great. Head Up!

Every instructor played a role in…read moreshaping me into the medical professional I am becoming, and I want to acknowledge them individually. Dr. K -- Tough? Absolutely. But every ounce of his toughness came from seeing our greatness before we could see it ourselves. Because of his technique and high standards, I know how to draw blood with confidence. Now that I'm out on externship, I still hear his voice in my head reminding me to stand out, be proficient, and carry myself with professionalism. His approach was never easy, but it was always for the betterment of our success. Ms. Jowers -- Truly the backbone of our program. She works tirelessly around the clock to make sure we're squared away. No matter how busy she is, she always finds time to help students fix errors, understand the process, and keep moving forward. She never wants to see us fail, and her dedication to Fortis, to herself, and to all of her students is unmatched. Ms. Sledge (Program Director) -- She doesn't get nearly the credit she deserves. She is always looking out for her MAs, often putting herself in the line of fire without recognition. She is sharp, has a heart of gold, and genuinely wants her students to excel. She's the type of leader who changes lives quietly but powerfully. Ms. Welch -- Teaches insurance, billing, and coding with the sweetest spirit. Honestly, I despised that class at first, but she never let me give up. She made sure I was prepared for state boards, and even though I don't touch insurance at my externship, I've realized how beneficial it was to learn coding. I'm so thankful for her patience, kindness, and thoroughness. Mr. Ntumi -- Another tough cookie who didn't play about his subject. His brilliance and discipline in teaching anatomy made me retain knowledge I still use today. He set the tone early on: take this seriously, because it matters. His commitment was to our success, and it showed in every lecture and quiz. Overall: My Fortis journey was amazing. As long as you stay focused and driven, you will succeed here. This school sometimes gets a bad rep from people who didn't take it seriously, but for those of us who showed up, did the work, and stayed dedicated -- it was both challenging and fun. I can proudly say I was more than prepared stepping into externship, and I already have opportunities lined up for hire as soon as it ends.
