Extremely helpful and wide variety of plants! I just bought my first houseplant and had lots of questions about lighting, water, and age of the plant. The staff were very friendly and provided lots of options based off of what I was looking for. Even though some plants seemed more expensive than I would want to spend, I would gladly pay a little more to get a plant that is taken care of by experts. They also had many ceramic pot options to choose from. I definitely will be coming back for my next plant. read more

Southbranch is close by and has a great selection. We landscaped the front of our house this year and got everything we wanted from Southbranch. Everything was in great shape when we purchased it. We got a wide variety or annuals to plant as well as a Magnolia tree for the back yard. We planted everything following instructions. After the extreme heat we noticed some things we did not know how to address. Pin holes in leaves, off colors, just did not look healthy. I was able to get pictures to them and they were able to guide me through diagnosing and corrective actions. Overall I know we paid more than a big box store but having a better selection, people on site that helped us select things that would work for what we wanted were a huge win. What makes this better is the after support I am getting. I do not have a green thumb, we like what we purchased, we were having issues so I asked the experts and they were more than happy to guide us through resolving those issues. Thank you! read more

Despite being the most expensive garden store in all of Middle Tennessee, their boro location is super close to me and their bulk products arent too bad. However, I ordered 10 yards of mulch on wednesday, March 30, to be delivered on or before April 2. With a big storm predicted the following week I was eager to get added material to hold down freshly spread soil in case it came down hard. If you grow in middle tn you know what I'm talking about. On April 2 no word, no mulch. I realize places are busy this time of year so I figured I'd call monday morning and get it sorted out (they are closed on sundays I think still, unless spring hours have started). Called monday morning, turns out they took the order, but never added it to their delivery schedule. The girl on phone said she'd talk to a manager about getting it to me by end of day. Didnt hear anything back all day so tried again laterr that afternoon with a bit more urgency (my window for spreading it before rains was getting narrower). No one answered so I mesaged on FB to them directly. Missed the returned call as I was in my fields (poor mobile service, loud tractor) but the message was dismissive and just said to call back to get a refund. Over last week tried calling twice more during business hours with no answer. Messaged them on FB a couple times. A full 10 days after they took my $$ I still have no delivery or word back. At this point I really just want this item off my todo list as it irritates me every time I see it. For stone and gravel, I recommend calling deason or the gravel company for much better prices. For soil and mulch, the mulch company is cheaper and more reliable/professional. I've also found just asking people on fac3ebook marketplace and similar gets you much better prices and quality. I had been using southbranch for convenience, but its become a huge hassle. For plants, try the garden center attahed to co-op, half the price for better quality. I think southbranch mainly just prefers to work with corporate clients and dont really care about individuals and small operations. I've resorted to a final message asking them to either refund my $ or deliver the mulch asap. On monday I will start the fraud report process with my cc and the bbb just to light the fire. I realize it likely started as an honest mistake, and would have been no big deal, but now they seem to just be avoiding dealing with it at all (but keeping the $350), so before I call up my USMC buddies to help me just gonna be a thorn in their side til they comply. Lots of variety in plants and trees. However, everything was priced 40% higher than Lowe's or Home Depot. Of course they don't have the volume so they can't reduce their prices. But when I asked about the warranty and return policy, I was told there was none. Come on! Most places give you 90 days -- at least give us 30 days. I'm sure they lose out on a lot more sales because of their lack of a guarantee. Guess they know their plants die quickly. read more

We purchased a Candy Apple Hydrangea on 6-27-2019 late afternoon and planted it the same day. The person who helped us was very nice and said that this plant could be in full sun. We noticed that some leaves were droopy. She said that the plants were thirsty and needed water. To water every time looked like that. On 6-29-2019 at 6am the plant appeared sun damaged. Every part of the plant was droopy. Took back and spoke to Supervisor Richard. He said that the plant was alive (I have photos looks dead) and that I didn't take care of it. That it needed water. I only had it for 1.5 days, REALLY. Then I told him I watered the Hydrangea 3 times. He then switched and said that I water the plant to much. I have photos of before and after of the plant. I showed him photos of my yard and that I did take care of my plants. No matter what you tell the staff it is either you take to much care or you don't. I thought that this nursery was a proffessional business. They are horrible. I was going to buy 3 additional plants and went to Lowes. Don't waste your money at this place. The staff is very nice but have no idea anout gardening. Nice uniforms no talent. They will always blame you for a sick plant. Threw the plant away. They will not exchange the plant or refund the price of the plant read more

After purchasing x4 'White Feather Hosta' plants this spring, I have noticed that these 4 hostas have no white in them at all. I reached out to Mr. Lee @ SouthBranch and even provided a receipt for x2 of the Hostas I purchased (lost the other one), and requested what kind of plant I had. I sent Mr. Lee pictures and was informed that I had a different Hosta and that their supplier mislabeled, I'm assuming, all of the White Feather Hosta plants. After speaking with Mr. Lee I was asked to dig up all x4 Hosta plants that were 'mislabeled' and bring them back in for my refund. Meanwhile, Mr. Lee has no access to more White Feather Hosta plants. So I decided, why should I have to pull up x4 plants to have nothing to replace them with just to get back 40$. I have spent almost 2000$ here in the past 7 years and have never had any issues until now. I do not agree that a customer that was sold an incorrectly labeled plant is responsible @ all and should never have to dig up the plants to get his refund. I don't want their money back, I want the correct plants. If a company received incorrectly labeled product, then it is that companies responsibility to correct the issue . If the issue isn't corrected, that is okay, mistakes happen, but you don't tell the customer it is his issue and that he needs perform manual labor to correct the issue. I should be either getting a voucher for all 4 plants or x4 White Feather Hosta plants without hesitation! Big F from me. I will be pursuing many other options to spread this story. read more

I purchased 2 bushes. They died within a week of purchasing. Care was given according to label instructions. I was not asking for a refund. I simply asked for an exchange. Poor customer service and plants are well overpriced. This is not my first negative experience there. I would give a zero rating if it were an option. read more

We went here to purchase 2 trees. We also asked if they would remove 2 dead trees, deliver and install the 2 new trees. We ended up purchasing (2) 2" cherry trees and with everything we asked for it was $500. Not a bad price considering what we are getting. I have been to this nursery several times and have always had good service. Today as I was walking around two fellas ask if I needed help. There was a specific item that I was looking for was told I needed to walk to the main office. When I walked in the office a young lady ask if I needed anything. I told her want I needed and she said "no" you have to go back outside. Then a fella pointed to shelf and there was the product. Then as I read the bag I found out I needed a bigger bag. Again the young lady said "No" she didn't have it and I needed to go outside. As I was walking toward the door there was the bigger bag on the floor. I ask if I could check out at the register right there at the desk. Again the young lady said "No" I needed to go outside. Luckily another fella walked inside and told the young lady to check us out.. I hope the next time I drive over 30 miles to shop this nursery that the young lady isn't there or learns a new word other than "No". read more

Had Southbranch design a layout around our pool, Dean put together a great design. They delivered and installed plants and lighting system. Lighting is fine, however a malfunction in the 3rd month and I had to fix it myself. They would not repair it. Going on our 3rd year and the plants look terrible. Two Little Gem Magnolias look like they will have to be replaced. 14 of 17 English Laurel look like they will have to be replaced. I went to the Nolensville road location multiple times and they would not respond, nice guys but zero customer service! The plants looked good when they put them in, but now they look pitiful. $$$$ spent with Southbranch...not again! KD read more

Well let me say I have visited all 3 stores of Southbranch and as a avid gardener let me tell anyone listening that they are great!!! Great service, prices and product. Always have everything I need. They also did our foundation landscape and it was a hit with me and my neighborhood. Give them a try, I am sure they will not disappoint. read more

Customer service has been horrible. We've heard every excuse in the book, but these folks are either understaffed or have taken on too much to handle. Our problem began with a full landscape package supplied by our builder. We purchased additional plants and beds from Southbranch when the landscaping was to be completed. Essentially, we ended up with half of the package proposed and with a reduced number of plants from an itemized listing supplied for the additional work. When Southbranch put in the plants, there were no amendments to the soil and 80% of the additional purchases didn't make it through the first 60 days. Two trees came in with infestation, and after consulting with Southbranch, they asked us to cut them down and burn them. $1000 later, I've amended about half of the areas and put in my own plants, waiting for Southbranch to come back and repair or replace their warrantied work. I can't get my time back that I've put into chasing them for 4 months and repairing much of the poor work they've done (including damaging the irrigation system), still they tell me they'll get to it this week. I've heard that excuse because they're "covered up and busy" for more than 12 weeks now. I would not recommend them to any friends or neighbors. read more

We used to go here very often spending quite a bit of money throughout the year. Recently, after checking to ensure they would be able to deliver when and where we wanted, we placed a large order. We requested the order be delivered after 5 the next day in our backyard...10:30 the next morning a message was left on my phone that said "this says 5, but that's when I go home." When I called the nursery, I was told the delivery had already been made-10 yards of dirt had been dumped in my driveway-not what I wanted. I was told "we can't wait to make deliveries when people are home, Lowe's and Home Depot don't do that." After such a ridiculous remark admitting that a local place cared to do no more for me than a big box store, while charging higher prices, I requested to be called by the owner. I called and repeated this request several days in a row, but have never received a call. I will be taking my money elsewhere from now on. read more
