Decent children's section for free entertainment for kids when the weather isn't good for outdoor activities. The South Windsor Mom's Club has donated lots of puzzles and toys, and they offer free classes for kids. Limited spots so sign up early

Kitchen sink for event.

This review was based on the room my friend and I used to throw our friend a fabulous shower! The space was HUGE and well-lighted! With all the local art-work on displayed, I felt like I had the shower at a room in either the Wadsworth or New Britain Museum of American Art! Since we made food at home, it was perfect that there was a full kitchen with a stove, oven, and full refrigerator plus some serving plates and coffee makers. I was able to keep food both warm and cool. We had the shower on a Sunday afternoon. The room was available at 1 p.m. and we had to clean up and be out by 4:30 sharp. For parties, you cannot bring alcohol. Best part, it cost us nothing to use the room!

This is an amazing library. They have a great kids section, full of LEGO bricks, small toy trains and other toys. The book selection is top notch. It is clean and brightly lit. You just enjoy being there (that is if you are a book worm like me). The upstairs is amazing. Very good video and music selection. For the most part, very good service (except for one librarian I can't seem to get along with, you know who you are!)

Scanner is use for public with books, documents, and photos....Cool scanner

I love this library. They have an amazing selection of books to choose from. The library is really…read moreold but shows cleanliness with its beautiful character and beauty on the inside. They have a lot of Board Games to choose from as well. There's Media Room exclusive for a lot of movies they have on DVD and Blu-Ray. There's nice people working at the library as well. However... The library is not suitable for expansion but unfortunately the library is really overgrown and have barely any more space for most books to shelve. Bookshelves are cramped as well resulting in so many books withdrawn yearly (there is a basement for more storage of books but unfortunately not enough space for more books as well.). The good news is voters approved the deal that would move the library to a brand new building where Webster Bank currently is down the street (the Webster Bank will be relocated to another property and its building will be demolished for new library construction). The Cheney Library building will still be there once the library moves out of that building once the new library building is complete within the next few years or so.

This is a review for the board game section of the library sporting so many games I've lost count…read more The borad game section has a lot of different types of games with varying age, group size and time frame. Donated from different walks of life the library does well to ensure eveything is there for your fun time ahead. You can borrow the games up to 3 weeks and they even added in renewals which is a nice feature. The only thing is that the games have to be returned while the library is open and sadly here is the only place that carry an extensive selection but hope that others hop on. Do you part and support the local library and try a free new game before purchasing or having a great time. With so many games for so many different type of people and groups drop by and see what they have.

A historically beautiful structure that houses Connecticut's Supreme Court and the state library,…read morelocated in the Capitol area of Hartford. This would be a great place to learn and view some of the historical pieces that defines the state of Connecticut. You can also sit in a Supreme Court hearing and take the tour of the state library, which contains state and federal legal publications dating way back to the late 19th century. The state library is open to the public and has wifi and outlets, so you can definitely use the space to bring your laptop/tablet and do some work. Great place for school groups to take a trip to, or even for families looking for something educational to do.
