The service was so bad and rude that I didn't even make it to the first appointment. First, a long…read morewait on hold to schedule. Then, the person makes a tentative appointment and says someone will call to get the insurance information and confirm. So I asked what if nobody calls. She said don't worry because they don't charge for missed appointments. I found that to be unusually good service so I confirmed it. She said that she knows other places do that, but they don't do it there. Then, days went by and nobody called. Then suddenly I received a text saying I had an appointment the next day, and to reply to confirm, and that if I miss my appointment, I'll be charged! This was so rude! And the opposite of what the person I talked to said. So I texted back saying that I don't have an appointment. I received a response saying they don't receive incoming texts! So they texted me asking for a response, but they don't receive responses! So I had to call to cancel the appointment that I didn't have! Then another long wait on hold. Then the person told me they do charge for missed appointments, and the previous representative gave me incorrect information. So I asked who the person was who scheduled an appointment that I didn't make, and gave me incorrect information. She said they don't know who she was. They don't have records of that! Then she kept asking me if I want to keep my appointment, after I repeatedly told her that I don't have one, and can't come at that time. She kept repeating the same question. Finally I hung up. Giovanna, the "holds it all together person," is very competent and attentive to the details of the entire operation. The therapists - Brian, Glen and Jamie are professional, friendly and have good senses of humor. As a result, I have looked forward to my sessions and did not feel in any way that they were a chore I had to endure. I have never been able to describe therapy as fun, but that is what my sessions were. I have benefited tremendously from their treatments. I improved, not only in original script for treatment, but additionally am enjoying the benefits of the unexpected improvements. I introduced to different therapy modalities I had not experienced before and was impressed at their creativity in the challenges they used to keep me progressing well without being subjected to challenges they didn't think I could handle. I saw the single 1 star review on here and felt that I should add my own review and personal experience at this location. The entire staff here has been more than accommodating to my needs. I am greeted by name every time I arrive by the receptionists, as well as acknowledged when I leave. My main physical therapist is amazing when it comes to how he carries himself at work and the same goes for my PTA. They have helped with the mental aspect of all of this and boosted my confidence along the way, showing me that my injuries limitations isn't just physical. I appreciate every aspect of this business and the people employed here. Also, it's amazing there is a place for a pho bowl after my PT sessions!

She's a great doctor and I couldn't recommend her enough. From the moment I walked in, I was treated by the service desk with kindness and respect. I was the last patient of the day but you would have thought they were waiting for me all day. Clearly, the employees are treated well and this must be a great place to work if everyone was this engaged. I came in with a year of severe heel pain and was awaiting the worst. Dr. Vander Poel came in and could not have had a better bedside manner. She quickly found what was wrong and it was a simple solution involving exercises and stretching. Following her direction, I was pain free in two days! I feel 10 years younger. If you have foot pain, come here. If you have to drive from elsewhere in the state, do it. They are that good.

I have had many years of physical therapy with different groups and therapists. This place is the…read morebest and Dominic, my PT is the greatest. Last year I went to a different group where I rarely had the same therapist. I was in a large room with no privacy and often left without guidance or attention. This does not happen with Dominic. Because of insurance I had not seen him for many years. It got to the point where I didn't care if I had to pay out of pocket so I returned to the group and Physical Therapist who had helped me after several surgeries. At this place you get care from the same person each time so you don't have to explain what is going on with a new person all the time. There are public and private rooms which makes the experience more comfortable. Dominic knows what he is doing. I don't feel like he is giving me a cookie cutter plan. He really listens. He has been able to help me figure out where some really awful pain was originating from and addressing it properly. He watches and is attentive for each session as opposed to other places where a therapist had more than one patient at a time and often didn't remember what you were supposed to be there for. I am so lucky to be back in his care. My pain level has significantly decreased and I am able to increase and resume activities I thought might be lost to me forever. I am also grateful that they are now taking my insurance plan. I don't worry that I may actually get injured by my physical therapy as had happened several times in the past with other places. It is so nice to trust the person you are working with. This is the first time in many years that I have hope for leading a less painful life and resuming things that broke my heart to give up. When I attempted to pre-register online the system told me that the birthdate I entered did not match what they had in their system and would not let me proceed. I called the office and told them about the issue, verifying my birthdate for them. The next day they called and said they had fixed the problem and to try again. I did, but the problem remained. So, the day of my appointment I arrived 25 minutes early to fill in the paperwork. I then proceeded to wait for my 10:30 appointment. At about 11:00 I was taken into an exam room and told the doctor was finishing up with his last patient and would be in shortly. And so I waited some more. After waiting for more than a full hour, I decided that we could no longer wait. I informed the staff we were leaving and asked them for my copay to be returned. At that point, I was told (again) that the doctor was finishing up and could see me soon. No thank you! I understand that "emergencies" can come up during the day's appointments, but I have decided that my time is as important as any doctor's time, and I will not wait for longer than an hour to see anyone. So doctors, fix your scheduling systems, and do what it takes to show your patients that you value them and their time. As an addendum, I was waiting with my husband, who runs his own engineering firm, and if he were to show up over an hour late for his appointments with clients, that would be a complete lack of professionalism. They may have great doctors at The Hand Center, but they are not the only game in town. I now have an appointment with another highly regarded orthopedic practice.

Only complaint is with getting release to work form on time. Workers Comp. Will not release you to…read morework with out the note. 3 surgeries and 3 nightmares try to get a release form. This office needs a better system to get these out ASAP with out the patient having to call 3 or 4 times to say "you still have not sent this to me." Hate to say this, but I will not longer us this company for any future needs. They know about this issue and still do not address it. Bad business practice.
