O STARS!! Worst service ever. I never post reviews but that's how bad it was here. Given that my insurance covered the cost, they replaced the transmit on my SUV and from the moment I dropped it off to the moment I picked it up was 6 WEEKS! They kept blaming my insurance and my insurance kept saying it was STAR. I had a pinhole radiator hose leak when I took it in (nothing to do with the transmission replace) and when I picked it up the hoses were tore off. I called I'm educated leaving and they said it was due to wear and tear!! Ridiculous. I had to replace all the hoses due to them all being heavily cracked almost to the point where they were barely hanging on. How in the world?!?!? NEVER AGAIN! Do yourself a favor and avoid this business. The reps get ruder with time also. They are experts at giving you the run around as well too. read more

My vehicle has been sitting there for two weeks. I've made my way to the shop to look at it as well as calling everyday. I only needed a new front bumper and some scratches buffed out. Don't recommend these people to anyone. Takes them days to just file paperwork. I would know, my insurance has been waiting for their estimate for a few days now. I drive a BMW 535i. My car was making a loud whisseling noise. To makes this story short, my car needed a new turbo. The dealership wanted close to $7,000 to repair the problem. I checked around other local auto shops and no one else wanted to do the job . At South Texas Auto Rebuilders Mr. Joe Villarreal Jr. assured me there teachians very able to complete the job on my BMW. Thank you STAR for doing an excellent job and saving me over $3,000.00 compared to the BMW dealership. read more

May 23 - boyfriend's car needed to be serviced and a transmission overhaul done. We were told it would be ready by the end of the week. Friday, May 26 - Called to see if the car was ready. no one had worked on it because they got the wrong transmission in. Was told it would be one more week. Saturday, June 3 - Called and was told it would be ready Tuesday, they had gotten the wrong transmission AGAIN, but were working on it and servicing the engine as well as looking at the AC. Tuesday came and went, no phone call to let me know if it was ready. Wednesday, June 7 - My dad called and told me no one has been working on the car the entire time, since the wrong transmission had came in, they started working on someone elses car. At this point the Owner, Joe, steps in and says that no one has been working on our car and they had the wrong transmission. So he made the guys stop messing with the other car and get back on ours. I was told they are working ONLY on my car and it will be Finished Friday/Saturday, but needed to set so we can get it Monday. Monday, June 12 I called. Wrong Transmission. Again. so the Owner put the car on a flatbed and took it to the place they get their parts in order to get the correct one. June 15 FINALLY the car is ready for pick up. We got it Friday June 16, and discovered no one had bothered to service the car or the AC as requested. Thankfully, we were not charged for it, so I plan on taking the car else where. Aug. 9 - Having the car worked on by a mechanic and we have been told the transmission is leaking oil. Currently waiting to hear back from the establishment about this problem. read more
