Made appointment in service department for 8am for 2 recalls and an oil change. Never got a timeline on when it will all be completed, but service rep tells me a lot of oil changes just rolled in right before me- then why even schedule an appointment if it's going to be pushed to the back of the line anyways? Next the technician recommends some rear break maintenance and I agree to that on top of the recalls and oil change I originally came in for. Rep tells me it will all be done early/mid afternoon. 5pm rolls around, after numerous attempts to contact service rep- he returns my call telling me the original technician apparently left the shop today unbeknownst to him and he's got a new guy in my Jeep but it won't be ready til 7/8pm now. Decided to leave it over night... remember I started this with a 8am "appointment." Move forward to next morning- go to pick up Jeep- only to find out they only completed the oil change and recall services- did not do the rear break maintenance. In fact the new service rep I was with a day later couldn't even find a ticket for that service as discussed. So, when it was all said and done, I was auto-less for 24 hours for an oil change and a couple of quick recalls. read more

Our daughter-in-law dropped off her 2018 Jeep Liberty at South Pointe CJD Wednesday, May 11 for repairs. She was leaving the country so she set her mother-in-law (my wife) to be the contact for repairs and updates. She was told that someone would call when the vehicle was checked out. When nobody had called by Friday, May 13, my wife tried to call but only got voicemail and left a message but no one returned her call. She called again on Monday, May 16, but again no call back. Nobody from the service dept. ever called. Nobody ever checked out her vehicle despite holding it for 8 days. Very frustrating. Today, May 19, when we went to pick up the vehicle, nobody, including Dave Brock, the Service Director, could explain exactly what happened and why the vehicle had not been checked nor why no one had called as we were promised or why no one returned my wife's calls. Clueless. To add to the fun, it took the service dept. 15 minutes to even locate the vehicle. I want to be specific that this review is for the service department at SouthPoint. I've never had such consistently bad service from any other business, ever. I have sat at their waiting area several times for various minor service events for completely unreasonable amounts of time for silly things, like having a code scanned, or checking to see if a part was in. Trying to get them on the phone is also next to impossible, because they game the automatic phone system by picking you up quickly, but then putting you on hold on their individual phones and making you wait for over half an hour before they ever talk to you. If you ever have the opportunity to witness this team at "work", I highly suggest doing so. They are a case study in laziness; how not to do anything while customers sit there waiting for them for hours. Surfing the internet, eating all kinds of snacks, hiding from customers out in their yard or in offices; basically doing anything other than helping their customers. The culture of carelessness and indifference in this place is absolutely atrocious. The only thing that has me coming here is that I have bought vehicles through their dealership, and need covered services to be done through this department. To be honest, I think that's probably all that's keeping these people in their jobs. They obviously don't care about their customers. read more

I came in from Denver driving my 2012 Ram 2500. I had just had some front differential service and seals done at Larry H Miller Cherry Creek (Located in Denver and not recommend). Along i35 leaving Wichita I noticed some oil on my front wheel. I got down to Tulsa and had a flow of diff fluid coming of of the seal that Larry H Miller had just "fixed". I called LHM and they told me that for them to warranty it they would need the truck there. Well since it was 600 miles away that wasn't going to happen and they weren't paying for a tow. I called South Pointe and talked with Mackenzie Rice and she showed empathy and understanding. She told me to bring it down right now and they would get it in the air for me and take a look at it. She called me today the next day and said that it was fixed and I am all set to go. I can't speak for everyone of the dealer whose of south pointe but what I can tell you is I was treated right and fair. read more

Will do all I can to avoid this service center for any future Jeep issues. I only brought it here thinking it would be a warranty concern anyway. Well, it was. Tried charging me anyway even though I asked to be informed before any work was done. Kept it for 2 entire days without a single phone call to inform me of the issues. The three times I tried calling to check on it myself, I gave up after 20 minutes on hold. Also had a screw in the tire I asked them to fix, which they didn't touch. Beware. Do not take your vehicle to get it serviced here. I called to make an appointment in advance to get my Jeep serviced. The attendant said "Yes, we have an appointment available tomorrow at 9:30." I made the appointment, and showed up at 9:30 the following day. After going through the check-in process, the guy says "Ok, we will call you next week when we look at it." I questioned "next week, why am I here today at 9:30? You're not going to look at it today? Just tell me what day you can look at it and I will be here on that day." The guy says "No, it doesn't work that way with us. They won't get to it until next week, but your Jeep has to be here in line." So, after I explained to him that their policy of my Jeep sitting on their lot for a week before they can even get to it was ridiculous, I simply took my keys back and went elsewhere. I was online searching for a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, when I found the Jeep I wanted at South Pointe CJD. We contacted the Dealership and they were very helpful. As we were getting our trade in value and financing, the dealer reported the vehicle had $11,000 in upgrades and the price was wrong. They jumped the price from $37,642 to $49,000. We were going to purchase the vehicle, but after we were deceived on the listed price we decided not to follow through. Terrible service department! Bought the vehicle in OKC but this is the ONLY place it has been for service so far. Called to follow up on a warranty issue and couldn't find me or the car in their system. Ok! Took the car in for a problem with the aux port. After 3 hours waiting, was told they would have to order a part and they would call when it arrived. Shockingly, no call. Call to check and transferred around to 3 different people, none of which passed my information on to the next so we have to start from scratch. Last one tells me the person who does electrical work on the car will have to call me. No call. That's when I call back and they have no record of me. Done!!!! read more

I bought my Durango in Louisiana before moving to Tulsa, so I don't drive a South Pointe product. However, I chose to have my Durango serviced by a Dodge dealership, so I come here for oil changes. Sometimes the wait is a bit longer than desired, but that is expected. I am always treated respectfully and professionally. I have to say I was extremely impressed and grateful this last visit. It was a rainy day, and the service techs allowed me to bring my car under the bay so my 10 month old son and I wouldn't have to get out in the rain. They also returned the vehicle to the bay after the oil change for the same reason. I always have wonderful customer service here. read more

I was leaving my driveway, when all of sudden...BAM! the front lower ball joint broke (yet again, for the third time in 3 years). I contacted Chrysler, who put me in contact with South Pointe. I was told by both companies to have my vehicle towed (which I would be reimbursed) and that I would receive a loaner (which has yet to happen) while my Jeep was being fixed for a recall issued by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Now here I am three months later without a loaner and my Jeep has yet to be fixed (because South Pointe & Chrysler REFUSE to fix it) because apparently it was fixed once, or maybe more I don't know, times before I even owned it. But according to all the websites of Chrysler and South Pointe, even if i'm not the original owner, it would be fixed for free including labor and parts. My vehicle has been broken into while waiting to be fixed. My vehicle has had diagnostic work done, which I did not order or request. How much longer do I wait to get to get it fixed? How much longer do I wait for a loaner? How much longer must I wait to get reimbursed? HOW MUCH LONGER MUST I WAIT? If I was looking at having machinal service of any sorts done, I would defiantly look at dealerships or mechanics elsewhere. I made a reservation day before at 2:00 for oil change and tire rotation. I set and waited in my car for 10min but nobody even came out for help. So one engineer was passing by and asked me if anyone was helping me so i said no. He went to inside and get somebody. When a girl came out i said i made a reservation for oil change and tire rotation, she said i have to wait about 4HOURS for oil change. But when i made a reservation they said it would take about 1 - 2 hrs. I came all the way through Okmulgee had to drove about 50min for oil change and tire rotation. Stay away from South Pointe Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and bring your business and hard earned money to a dealership that will appreciate you with your purchase! I had quite a negative experience last week (February 2020) when attempting to purchase a mid-size Jeep SUV which was advertised on South Pointe's web site. Photos only showed the vehicle at a distance and there were few close-up photos. Since I am in a different state and unable to look at the car in person, I asked several questions and requested that someone inspect the car thoroughly and report any damage or problems. This way I could make the decision to purchase it or look for something else. While the salesperson, Rik Thomas was helpful in doing so, he was not able to make decisions on potential cosmetic repairs, etc. and had to defer to the used car manager Toby ?. While speaking to Toby only twice, he proved himself to be one of the most condescending and belittling individuals I have ever spoken to. He stated that this was too much work to sell a car to someone in another state; that it was also harder to deal with my credit union instead of their in-house financing and the he absolutely did not want to put any money in the car. Toby stated that they had priced the car too low originally and immediately raised the price by $800! The car had a damaged windshield, which I was asking to be replaced for safety reason and also to be compliant with obstructed vision laws in Colorado. Also a small trim piece on the rear bumper showed some damage and I requested that it be repaired as well. NOTE: the cost of these repairs were added to the purchase price. The car showed less the 12K miles. I believe that I was only doing my due diligence and trying to enlist the help of this dealership to ensure that I would not have any issues with my purchase. Instead of assisting me (a committed customer) and not just a tire-kicker, Toby totally disregarded me as the later. In his second and last call, he stated quite rudely "I don't want to sell you the car; it's not worth my time!" Toby certainly seems and sounds to be a most unpleasant and boorish individual. I am so glad I did not buy this vehicle from him. This dealership is definitely NOT well represented by him; he would not be a good, personable salesman, much less a manager. Scheduled appointment at 7:15. At 9:20 car was still sitting untouched. When I asked why I was given excuse of "training". Car was second appointment of the day. They were supposed to change oil and rotate tires. After 3 hours the car came back, oil changed, tires not rotated. The work order showed both items done, although they weren't. Service advisor was condescending and abrupt. Won't do business there again. Rather do business with Glover in Owasso where they appreciate your business. We were under pressure to beat the moving truck from Chicago to our new home in Arizona. Leaving Joplin, our Jeep Wrangler began to violently shake whenever the speedometer hit 60 mph. I looked online and diagnosed the problem as a "death wobble." Yes, scary! So after a few attempts to find a place that would fit us in on a Saturday, increasingly worried to continue driving, we were referred to South Pointe. Not only did Blackjack Fierro know about the problem, but he also understood the importance of travelers like us not being able to lose any time mid-trip with a looming deadline. He made sure that our car got immediate attention while we were put at ease in their comfortable waiting room. We were able to leave within five hours of extensive work, greatly relieved and grateful that our Jeep was now safe. We made it to Arizona with time to spare. If only the moving company we used had half of the pride in customer service that Blackjack and his team showed us that day! read more

I DIDN'T WANT TO BELIEVE ALL THE AWFUL REVIEWS - bad move on my part. STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE! On 7/25/2017 I found a used car they listed online and sent an email inquiry. Someone named Lupe Gonzales responded promptly (after business hours) to let me know that the car was still available and asked if I would like to come and see it. I live in Dallas, and had not yet sold my car, so I wasn't ready to drive all the way to Tulsa yet. On 8/7/2017 I received another email from Lupe asking me if I was still in the market for the car. I responded that I was, and asked if it was still available, since it had been 2 weeks since my initial inquiry. Lupe said "YES! It's still available" and (he?/she?) would follow -up with me next week as I was driving up to Iowa the next day. Although it was more than 3 hours outside of my route, I decided i would try to stop at the dealership so I wouldn't have to drive back to Tulsa again. I emailed Lupe back that evening to let (her? him?) know I was coming the next day. No response back. On 8/8/2017 I drove from Dallas to Tulsa to the dealership. When I pulled up a guy came out and asked if he could help me. I told him I was working with Lupe and that I was there to see the 2011 Honda Pilot. He looked at me oddly and just said "That's been sold". I showed him the email from Lupe (that I received the night before) that said the car was available. He escorted me into the office and he went in to talk to the manager. The manager came out and told me the car was sold - A MONTH AGO. I asked why Lupe would email me the night before and tell me it was available? He tried to tell me it was some sort of 'screwy deal' which I really didn't have time to hear, nor frankly did I believe. I told him that I had just driven up from DALLAS based on the fact that Lupe told me the car was available. I even gave him the email Lupe sent me as proof - and which he asked to make a copy of so he could 'get to the bottom of it'. The email also had my email on it and he assured me that once he found out what was going on, I would hear back from him. I also asked if Lupe was a man or woman - and the other sales guy responded 'it sounds like a woman'. So I asked 'Does Lupe even work here?' He assured me (he?she?) did - although if that was true you'd think he'd know what gender he/she was. So - bottom line- The car had been sold even before my first inquiry. It was never available. They lied twice by telling me the car was available on 7/25 and 8/7. No one seems to know who Lupe is. And I would have never even bothered to waste EVEN MORE of my time writing this long review, if I had only heard back from the 'manager' --who ASSURED me he was soooo sorry and that I would DEFINITELY be hearing from him after he talked to Lupe to get to the bottom of it. Car was cpo but the tires were at 2/32nds, minimum is 4/32nds and hood had corrosion under the paint on the hood...Supposedly a mfg defect, mfg warranty was almost expired. I made an appointment have my car in on a Monday at 10 am. I dropped my car off on Sunday night. It had 2 recalls and I had a tire alarm telling me to service my tire pressure system. I called on Monday about 230 to see where they were at, explaining if it was almost ready my husband would drop me off on his way to work. Yes Blackjack said. It will be done! I arrived at 430ish at 6 I went to check on it and they said it would be 630 at the earliest. Around that time the mechanic came out explaining he still had a ways to go. So, my husband had to leave work and come get me, my granddaughter and elderly father. We had to then drive him back to work! Around 10 the next morning I get a call that my car is ready and for my trouble they would like to deliver it to me. Great! They bring my car and as soon as they left I got in to check it out and the service tire pressure light is still. Absolutely unbelievable! So they came back and got my car and I am still waiting for it. The ONLY thing good about this place was the hot chocolate machine. I don't like being lied to. I would have been perfectly fine leaving my car till it was done and done RIGHT. I have bought 6 new Chrysler/Dodge vehicles since 2007 and it is obvious to me they do not want repeat business Against my better judgment I decided to give this service department another try. It would take all day to explain how unbelievably incompetent this service department is and how many time I was lied to. My car was there for a week to get a radio replaced. Purchased a 2006 Tacoma a month ago.....bought as is, no warranty.....but! It's my personal opinion that things that don't work correctly on an "as is" should be pointed out by the sales staff. Heads up display for compass and thermometer dead. Cruise control only works when it wants to....about half the time. TPMS light will not go off even after following every step to "reset". Interior cabin air filter looked like a cow took a dump on it. Rear view mirror came off in my hand along with a chunk of windshield. read more

I bought a brand new Dodge Challenger here and had a very specific wishlist. I ended up having to have them get the car from Arkansas so I could buy it through them. They were great up until the point I went to sign paperwork. I had gotten an interest rate from my bank already and when I went in to talk to financing here, I told them they needed to do better or I'd just finance through my personal bank. They came back with a higher rate and then the finance guy seemed angry when I didn't accept it. His response was- "Well I'll need a check right now then." They wouldn't get the car until they had a check in hand. Every good dealership I've ever been to would get the car to their lot before they had the money... He was also very unhappy about the fact that I didn't waste money on the extended warranties. He tried to tell me that the car's computer would probably break in the first five years and that I would need to be covered for that. I told him it better not break because that would be a really crappy car. I I knew finance guys are usually jerks though so I blew it all off- I came out with what I wanted even if he wasn't happy about it. I got them their check a couple of days later and they got the car there a couple of days after that. I checked the car out and everything seemed fine. They had driven it a couple hundred miles to get it there but everything was spotless. I got across town before the check engine light came on. They had to have noticed on the 200+ mile drive. I took it back the next morning and waited a few hours before they told me it was just the gas cap loose and they'd reset the code. I wanted to make sure it wasn't the gas cap so I let it sit at idle in the parking lot for a bit. Maybe 5 minutes passed and there it was again. They have the nicest service reps, by the way, so I do not want to slam them, however dealerships often hire young kids to do the actual work and people with good personalities who look like they know what they're doing to run messenger between them and you. I suspect it was either because of this or because someone was trying to pull the wool over my eyes that they still insisted it was the gas cap and tried simply resetting it again. The service rep tested it in idle herself this time and it came back on. After wasting half my Saturday sitting in their lobby, they got me a loaner car and I got my car back two weeks later... According to them, it was either the catalytic converter or the computer. They replaced one and hard reset the other. I have no idea if this is true or not but I finally got it back and there was no check engine light. When I got my car back though, it had a quarter tank less of gas in it than when I had brought it in. My salesman started ignoring me when I got in touch with him to complain. I guess he thought it was too late to do anything or just didn't care. This same car, at 40,000 miles had a pretty major oil leak (it's supposedly common on the engine in the car) and they would not provide a loaner. That was the only reason I took it back to them was so I could get something else to drive while they fixed it. It took them 3 days to fix it even though it's a 1 day or less fix according to the service rep when I dropped it off... Never will I buy a car or get mine repaired through them again. I've heard Chris Nickel is much MUCH better. I recommend taking your business there or somewhere else instead. read more

Oct15 I test drove a pick up with 111,000mi, everything seemed good& returned 2 days later to finalize the papers.In those 2 days the truck would shake when in reverse& the idle would drop really low,the motor made a loud clicking noise &would cause the truck to shake really hard. I would rev the engine &the clicking/shaking would quit,luckily I was able to get a video.I got back to the dealership& showed the video to my salesman &I was told not to worry, "we will take care of it!"They assured my wife &I that they would take care of everything& that they had no knowledge of any problems prior to this time&that we'd need to go ahead &sign the papers. Yes, I know, it was stupid to go ahead & sign not knowing exactly what was wrong with the truck. The one thing that they kept telling us was " this will be taken care of by the dealership & NOT your warranty company..we will take care of you, fix the problem & make everything right." This was Oct17we didn't hear anything else from the dealership until 12 days later.Then the salesman requested I send the video to him.Nov 8 I received a call from my warranty co telling me they were very sorry but they had denied my claim?The dealership sent a claim to warranty co without my knowledge&although they had told me they would take care of the problem &would not have anything to do with my warranty co they did.I asked the rep from my warranty co to send me a copy of the report.Findings-the motor had scored cam shafts& recommended NEW engine assembly.I contacted the salesman &asked exactly what was going, asked if they had make a claim on my behalf& the salesman told me he didn't know but that he would call me back.2 days pass, I heard nothing.The salesman finally called me back bec the loaner truck that I was using needed to be traded for another.When I got to the dealership I'm told that they are going to send my truck somewhere for a second opinion.I showed the salesman the pictures & report from my warranty co he said"I don't know..well I'm not a mechanic."I then asked for the report from the first estimate&was told that they would get it to me..I still have not seen it even after several requests.Nov 12,I call &asked the salesman where the second opinion was going to come from &told "um, I'm not sure."Of course I asked him to let me know when he finds out.Nov26 I call the salesman&ask what's going on as I have not heard anything in 2 weeks.He tells me "good news, they're putting in a new crate motor in your truck."I was thinking that sounded good&I asked where my truck is,they tell me, I call the shop.The mechanic tells me that it is not new but a used motor with 95,000 mi.I asked who he had been talking to from the dealership,he tells me Mike Beckner.I immediately call him & tell him I am not comfortable with a used motor, I have no idea on the history of the truck it came from & ask what if I'm not happy with the repair, he says "then we'll get you out of it."Nov26Mike calls &says the truck is ready I relay that I'm not happy with the repair & would like to walk away but if not possible then at the very least refund the $ for the warranty &include it at their expense.He says "sir we have gone above &beyond to make this right," but would talk to his boss&get back to me.Next day he calls & says the same thing.In the end, it was stupid to sign the papers when something was wrong but they were dishonest throughout the process, they did the minimum they could do& by no means close to ABOVE AND BEYOND.They said what they had to so we would sign the papers.They lied about not using our warranty co, lied about the type of motor that was being put in my truck&did not even perform the work my warranty co recommended,they did not communicate what was going on & we've still not seen any of the reports from them.So I'm the sucker, now all I can do is write this review, contact group one auto & the BBB.We were lied to, mislead&made out the be the bad guys in the end like we were asking too much.I will never do business here&will tell everyone I know about my horrible experience.Above & beyond my A@#! read more

Absolutely terrible dealings here, was seriously interested in buying a Jeep and when I informed the sales guy (Richard) that I was shopping at other places also he became short, rude, and refused to help. Long story short ended up spending $50k plus at another dealership...good job Richard. read more

The service department is TERRIBLE. I have bought 3 brand new cars from them but never again nor will I take another vehicle to their pathetic service department. By far the worst car buying experience I've ever had, & I get bored & buy a different vehicle every 3-4 years. So they had the truck i was looking for, & it was priced pretty decent so I went & looked at, pretty standard sales pitch, no actual knowledge of the vehicle being sold but that's fairly typical. Sales staff themselves were very helpful, not necessarily knowledgeable, but helpful nonetheless. So it was a Saturday when I went in & decided to go ahead with the deal. Finance guy assured me that with the credit score the bank would have no problem & based off of the numbers he was positive that come Monday it would be finalized. So with that assurance we signed papers & all was good. Fast forward two weeks...it was not all good, & it took two weeks for anyone to tell me anything otherwise. So they ran my credit again through another bank & they picked it up so I had to come in again to sign papers. In the mean time there was a minor fix that needed done to the vehicle that the used car manager had conveniently forgotten about, up until the bank called me asking if there was anything wrong with the vehicle & held payment until it was fixed. They sure hopped on getting ahold of me to fix it then. The finance guy had opted for me to use direct deposit without my prior authorization, so I'm fixing that with the bank on my own. I have finally gotten the title to the truck, 6 weeks after I should have from the original papers, & 2 days prior to the notary date of the second set of papers.
