So disappointing! I've ordered several times to support them through the COVID-19 shut down, so I ordered again tonight for curbside pick up. I had to go in to get my order, as no one came out to bring it to me. Then they forgot to give me the wine that went with it, which I didn't discover until I got home and looked through the bag. We dined outdoors with a little help from a gas heater. We were very comfortable. The only problem was that the restaurant is dog friendly. Unfortunately, the doggie Mamas let the pooches bark which was not pleasant. Next time we will probably dine inside, unfortunately. My husband and I split the tomato capreese which was beautifully presented and huge and very scrumptious. My main course was he shrimp and scallops over house-made pappralle with lemon dill cream. We had a wonderful lunch at South Fork Grille. I had the Pineapple Boat; fresh pineapple, tuna and chicken salad and greens. It was delicious! My friend had the lamb sliders and sweet potato fries, that too was delicious. The staff was wonderful and they have a very nice area for outside dining. Actually I would give this a 3.5 stars, but do t know how to make a half star. When we arrived at 4:45 we were told we couldn't sit outside and all tables were reserved, inside and out. We sat at the bar, thanks to a lovely lady who loved over to make room for two. We went for the two entrees and wine special ($35). John, the bartender was very nice and attentive, but frankly I had an issue with his profuse sweating. My knife was dirty, so I used my husband's. The salmon I got was good, but the risotto was very sticky/starchy. Green beans were a bit less than al donte. My husband's chicken Milanese was dry and pounded too thin. I tasted more bread crumbs than I did chicken. Their house wine with this special is Stonebridge. It sufficed. All in all, mediocre food in my opinion. read more

Have dined here frequently. Usually good food and service. Tonight the service was good, the food not so. I ordered a Margarita which was the worst I have ever had, served in a collins glass with mostly ice and I am not sure there was any tequila in it. I also had the Mahi Mahi which was dry and tasteless. They also only had the menu pasted up on the wall so we had to leave our seats and look over two couples whose table was in front of the menu. Should have printed menus like they do for happy hour. Also their "frequent shopper" program is tied to your credit card number so if you use a different card or a gift card you get no credit. Not sure if we will be back. Food was actually better as take-out during the closure. read more

Yesterday I got sick as a dog after eating a takeout dinner at South Fork Grill Yesterday . I ate nothing else last night, had no fever but was physically ill for virtually the whole night Until I finally threw up virtually the entire meal. My wife called the Manager today, first was told that we would get a refund, but then later got a call back with the manager saying there weren't any other complaints on that entire so no refund. We have eaten there before and not had this problem before, and in fact this is the first time I have raised such a complaint. Best be aware that management when they get a legitimate complaint of bad food does not think it worth responding to. Buyer beware read more

I personally wasn't impressed. The server was very nice but everything was very slow. We ordered an appetizer of Brie only for it to come without their signature jam yet no one told us until it was on the table. Unfortunately the jam is what makes the appetizer. I also had fish and chips as did one other person in my party and both of us thought the fish was very mushy as if it was over cooked. I was not a fan and it took forever and I felt a bit pricey. A truly enjoyable experience. On a Sunday evening. Anthony was our waiter and was both helpful and attentive. We enjoyed the early dining special of 2 entrees and a bottle of wine for $35. I selected the Chicken Milanese and my companion enjoyed the filet mignon ($9 up charge).. We selected the house white wine with our meal it was quite satisfactory. The chicken dish came with mixed greens in balsamic and potato wedges. I also ordered the South Fork salad as an appetizer. The filet mignon came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Anthony gladly substituted green beans for the asparagus. My dining companion was very taken with the bread that was served. He mentioned it to Anthony and our empty bread basket was replaced with a full one. I will certainly return again. read more

Getting in was a challenge; and, the door we chose was wrong, so we snaked through the restaurant to the hostess stand; and, were seated immediately. We were provided with a bar menu, with some delightful, intriguing cocktails; and, settled on the South Berry Sangria and the Sparkling Grapefruit... excellent choices that complimented my wife's and my tastes perfectly. We also ordered the Arancini Risotto Balls, as an appetizer. We've had Arancini Risotto Balls in the past; but, at a catered event; so, when we received these delicious, crunchy, tasty, and oh-so-good examples, we were quite pleased. My wife and I decided to spit a Grouper Sandwich, which was fresh, tasty, crisp and delicious; along with the Lamb Sliders, which were fine. Our daughter had a Caesar Salad, which was very good. Made a reservation on a Friday for a party of 5. Arrive at the restaurant and cannot even find the front entrance of this joint. Not to mention the rudeness of the hostess as myself and my party confusingly looking around for the entrance door. "Is this where you're supposed be?" she asks me. As I digress...we get seated in the corner of this back room with absolutely no aesthetically pleasing view and wait I kid you not what felt like an eternity for our waitress. At this point we should've walked up and left. Then the rudeness of the hostess spilled over to our waitress. "Drinks?" she asks. Not a Hi or any sort of greeting maybe explaining to my party what our dining experience will be like this evening. But I digress...we order our drinks and a couple appetizers. The apps come out and is served to us by what must have been the sous chef. We don't even get sharing plates so we used what must've been the smallest plates to eat our mussels and brie which only could've been used to place your afternoon tea on. Then bread was brought to our table AFTER we got our apps. But here's the kicker...no knives were ever set at our table. So knowing my waitress won't be coming around for who knows how long I have to ask the manager for knives so I can spread some butter on my bread. From this point on the awkwardness of our dining experience is just hovering over our table. The waitress can tell we just want to get the hell out of there. Entrees come and one of my party ordered soup and salad and they forgot to bring it out. Sadly, the experience was so awful it didn't matter that our food tasted great. We dined at the Grape which is now the South Fork 4 times this year and we find the food and service are both excellent. The appetizers and wine selections during happy hours are very good value. The Grape was a franchise but the South Fork is now independent. Make sure to support them to ensure a good place to go for good food with reasonable price. read more

Mediterranean Inspired cuisine. The awesome guys I was with tonight, terrific service and wonderful lone singer armed with guitar out on the patio saved our impromptu evening out. Seems that there are not a lot of late night dining options in this area. The food bombed. The drinks were good, I felt they had a good wine selection and my guy buds were happy with their beer choices. I opted to get a white wine flight where you can try 3 of any of the wines for $15. They had 3 German white, sweeter must-tries. No appies were ordered so for mains alone we must have waited 1.5 - 2 hours with a measly basket of bread to share between 5 people. Not cool. The mains were not worth the wait. The gnocci was reported to be undercooked, my hubby`s steak was overdone, my friend`s ravioli was just ok and my dish was a mess. I ordered seafood pappardelle and I am not sure what the heck happened. It was dry with hardly any sauce, the pasta was overcooked, and the seafood that I was promised would be fresh was so obviously frozen. Rubber calamari, overcooked shrimp and mussels... ick. And the food on the plate was served cold. Sad. And that pasta dish was even more expensive than the steak dish that was overcooked yes, but edible. The singer outside, Patrick Jerome I think his name was was quite good, personable and was the reason we stayed as long as we did. Not my kind of place food-wise but the experience was a 3 star. I am just pissed I paid for my pasta dish when even my server knew by just looking at the plate that it sucked. Recommend for ambiance, service, never for food. read more

I really liked this friendly upscale venue as it exceeded my inflated tastes and culinary trained targets for atmosphere, food, and service over the course of an evening. Arriving late last Saturday night with favorable week-old Yelp review in my head about the place, we noted the casual dining outside and hoped to chill inside. Seated and ready to order, our server was smiling and had some news as to what was on the menu. We seized upon the specials right away, as a means of introduction to the place, while pairing them to flavorful local craft ales and California Zinfandel. The beer and wine lists were very good and I could tell that most of the attending patrons were in the wine camp that evening. Working into our first plates, the grilled pork belly in a puddle of sweet corn puree and a spicy apple sauce aligned with it signaled what the American style kitchen was like there. It made my glass of Zinfandel come alive and the fresh salad made for a soft landing. And that was round 1. The skirt/flank steak dressed in potato sticks with a sauce covering it and the adjoining collard greens was a stunning moment, which I had to eat slowly because three more plates of the same thing were coming to my mind quickly. The portions from the kitchen were good on my plate as I loved it and was getting greedy. We also had a plate of grilled chicken that was stacked on top of its accompanying vegetables. Exceptionally juicy, the chicken did not need the sauce it was dressed in, but we enjoyed it and were thankful it was not "falling off the bone". Looking back at the dinner (as we skipped dessert), this was well executed, dressed, and served. I doubt one could have asked for better on this scale. I did make a note for my return visit: order the whole bottle of Zinfandel and maybe pretend we are having guests (who never show..) so we can order more plates! read more

Was disappointed from the moment I walked in. Hostess sat us outside. I inquired about wine she said she would bring me the wine list....never happened. I had to ask to be waited on after waiting 10 minutes. Ordered a bottle of wine and water with lemon. No lemon with water. Waitress brought bread and said she would be back with bread plates...never came back...no plates. Dinner arrived and was delicious but we were getting bit but bugs. We moved ourselves into bar area. I had the surf and turf, and it was very good, although the lobster wasn't cooked as well as it should have been. We also split a salad, which was very good. Huge wine list and nice atmosphere. The inside looks charming and intimate with a tiny bar. We sat outside, which is right in the parking lot. I could have reached out and touched a car, so that's a little odd when paying what you pay here. Minus one star because our waitress was a total space cadet. It's a good thing we weren't in a hurry, as she messed up drinks repeatedly and when the checks came they were a total mess. After she tried to correct them, we ended up just paying each other to offset her mistakes. All in all, the food is worth it, but sit inside and hope for a good server. read more

I came for lunch on a weekday, sat outside (it was a brisk 80 degree Southwest Florida day), and ate the pan-seared salmon with green beans, onions, and rice with a creamy though thick sauce. The salmon was okay - I have had far better. The sauce was delicious, if a little heavy. Tucked in the middle of the Coconut Point mall, the location is very nice (Barnes & Noble within walking distance for post-meal coffee and reading). The service was dutiful and fast (although the place was not exactly bumping at noon on this particular Monday afternoon). The menu had a lot of intriguing options, which I would probably come back for if I find myself in the area again. There is also an impressive wine selection, which I unfortunately did not get a chance to sample. read more

We had a reservation and when we arrived they sat us at a broken table. we asked if someone could fix it and the busboy tried and could not. The manager came over and said he might not be able to fix it and that told us not to lean on the table. We waited 25 minutes for water and when the salad came the plate was dirty and the waitress told my husband to use the bread plate.that had olive oil all over it. she couldn't be bothered to bring us a plate. When the bread came it was stale and hard. We asked for different bread. Five minutes later the rude manager came over and said the the waitress told him we though the bread at her. That is a lie. we were shocked by this remark and we left the restaurant. Themanager ignored the the situation and did not care if we left. The waitress was a mean, lying nasty person. Looking for a bit of seafood, I encountered this restaurant while shopping. Set on a corner in a row of restaurants, I also had to consider my teenager with me. With a burger called "Very Large Cheeseburger" I knew I found the best option for my teen. But what I ordered was what I'd been looking for all trip. Arancini balls with marinara sauce was divine. And then exactly the seafood I was looking for was the pan seared scallops over a risotto. The sea scallops were giant and seared and cooked to perfection. Under them was Swiss chard that gave the dish extra flavour and the risotto to balance the rest of the dish. This meal satisfied all of our cravings for seafood to meat. read more

Leaving town from a conference an stopped by. Hostesses was very nice as well as the waitress. I ordered the blackened grouper sandwich with shoestring fries. It took about 5 to 7mins for food to arrive and when it did, I was not happy. The fish had no season what so ever. Sandwich was totally bland. I asked the waitress what season that used and she went to ask the cook. My answer was a southwestern. I have never known of a southwestern blackening. Fish was orange. Normally love eating at this restaurant. We decided that we would do take out. Ordered six dinners to be picked up at 5 pm. Arrived and food was ready. Counted the container and there were six containers. Got home and found that one dinner required 2 containers so the coconut shrimp dinner was missed. Everyone stayed home and eat their dinners. I had to run back and get the last one. Got to the restaurant and they gave me the missing dinner only they didn't provide a dinner. They provided an app instead. Had to go back around and wait 20 minutes for the last meal. Moral of the story. Restaurant doesn't have any quality control to ensure correct orders on take out. We grabbed a late night bite here and were seated outside. The food was delicious!! My husband had the gnocchi with braised beef and I had the house made paperdel special. Both of the pasta dishes were incredibly tasty with fresh ingredients and well seasoned. It also came out with fresh, hot bread. Despite the delicious food, our service was awful. Our waitress barely acknowledged our presence and almost made us feel like a nuisance. So here is the story - I went to Southfork the beginning of December with a friend and we had a good meal, I met and asked the owner if I could make reservations for Christmas Eve and could the restaurant make a vegan meal for my wife. The owner said absolutely and that would be no problem at all. So I made reservations for 7:15 for Christmas Eve - we arrived at approximately 7:10 and the manager by the name of Farrol told us that we were next for a table so we went to the bar for a drink. The bartender was great - her name was Jessica and she was the best experience of the evening. When we finally sat down at 8pm ( we saw other people being seated before us) we asked the waiter for the vegan options that were advertised on the special holiday menu they had. The waiter said, " sorry no vegan options tonight - do you all want to leave?" Well it's 8:15 pm on Christmas Eve - what other options do we have? So my wife had to settle for a small basic salad and we told the manager ( Farrol ) at the end of the meal and he just said it has been a problem all night with having no Vegan options even through they are clearly advertised on the special holiday menu. I told him the owner assured me that there would be meal options for my wife and he just said I apologize. They were also out of other meal choices on the menu and they were very unwilling to substitute any sides of the meals. So the whole evening with my family was nothing but NO NO NO along with a very expensive tab! We are not excited about ever going back. read more

Delicious and charming! We were visiting the area from Tampa Bay on a little weekend gig...brought the jet-skis to enjoy the awesome water. Searched on Yelp for something different. So we selected South Fork Grill! The young pretty girl seated us with a big smile, followed by a outstanding server- her name was Diana - ask for her she was excellent . Started out with oyster appetizers - off the chart good ...,my wife ordered the shrimp n grits - better than anything during our trip 4 wks early to NOL. Delicious flavor prepared perfectly ! I had the duck chef special. Nice combination of sauces over white beans... I credit the dishes to the chef who was behind the scene - like all chefs they get little recognition for there hard work... Nice work chef...!!! You got to try this place . What's pleasant surprise. I had a ribeye,my wife had lamb with an awesome mushroom risotto. This was our first time here, won't be our last. There is nothing but positives from my perspective. Service was excellent. Not fast, but well paced for a great dinner. We had a very reasonably priced great bottle of wine. We finished with a desert of pound cake with ricotta and oranges or something, but it was good! I would highly recommend this restaurant. read more
