Awesome kiteboarding school. Melissa is a great teacher, and they have good gear, good prices, great location.

Before most of these soccer fields and adult leagues popped up around the Miami area, South Florida Club Sport was setting up soccer leagues at the KSP field (even before it expanded and is what it is today) and let me tell you, they know how to organize sports very, VERY well. I've played in several leagues for SFCS from 2005 till now and that just shows you how awesome they are. Not only was it a great way for me to stay in shape but the best part about it was I also met and made lifelong friends through the various leagues I joined throughout the years. Additionally, I've had many interactions with the owner of the company, Steve Arsenault, and he is nothing short of professional as well as friendly. He's always open to feedback from the league members so if you ever find yourself thinking of ways to improve the league you're playing in, just reach out to him and he'll be all ears. He also tries to set up other social events and trips for the league members which is always appreciated and enjoyable. What else is there to say except that this company has consistently established solid leagues for all kinds of sports and has brought the Miami community together in a social and fun way. If you're new to Miami or a native Miamian (Broward County counts, too), make it a point to join one of their leagues. You will not regret it! Their motto to me should be, "SFCS - making adult soccer leagues cool since the early 2000s."

Terrible league. They cancel every week because of rainy fields, even when it doesn't rainread more

Brickell Run Club is an awesome way to get exercise and check out some new places around the city…read more The club is well run and they have very spirited leaders. It's free and they run every Tuesday (except for 2 Tuesday's in December around xmas and New Years), rain or shine. Meet in front of the Fortune International Realty building on Brickell Ave. at 7pm, stretch a lil bit, say hello to someone next to you, and then you take off running in waves (slowest group first, ~12 min mile) paced by one of the "pineapple pacers" in a bright yellow shirt. There's a handful of routes (3.5-4mi) which are posted on the groups Facebook page the day of. Because of this club, I was introduced to Alice Wainwright park, and I must say it's pretty sweet running next to the water during sunset. BRC just celebrated their 6th year anniversary and they celebrated by running to a pool...with pool fun after the run. On average, it takes about an hour for the whole run. When you return to Fortune Intl, often times Muscle Milk is there handing out free protein shakes. You can stay after for a core session, but I haven't done that so I have no feedback about it. This group is great for people of all experience levels...young and old! I find it to be pretty motivating running with 100 other people. On any given day I would never choose to run 4 miles, but with Brickell Run Club, anything is possible. Tips: check their Facebook page for the most up to date info

Being such a challenging sport in the beginning umthis is crucial to avoid frustration. Franco has always been helpful and is very focus on making sure you are making the right progress. They are also very honest when there is not going to be wind for you to avoid spending time in the water without progress. I took classes with Lionel and Kevin, both are highly recommended.

The woman made eye contact with me and knew I was there, but just kept looking at her phone and having a casual conversation with her coworker. It was honestly weird... and frustrating. Then they were very arrogant. They were trying to tell me what size kite and board I should use, even though I've been kiting for years and knew which size I should be on. I ultimately took their advice, but had to come all the way back in to switch to the size I originally wanted. They also don't advertise the true price to rent gear. It said $150 for 3 hours on the website when really you have to pay an additional $40 + tax. The 40 covers "insurance." The real cost was over $200. Then I asked to buy some sunblock and realized at that point I was just getting ripped off. They gave me a tube the size of a chapstick for $20. I asked if there were any other options... nope! That tube lasted me two applications. Next time I will bring my own gear and kite somewhere else. What a shame.
