There seemed to be a technical difficulty with the website not registering properly so our check in process was a bit lengthy. Overall, the employees were great and told us which direction we could follow. Eventually we ended up just us 2 (separate kayaks) and I'm so glad we brought a portable speaker because we were able to curate the vibes on such a romantic day. The views were immaculate and I even told some coworkers about it in case they were interested in purchasing. Can't complain on the experience!

Reservation Process Reserving the class was pretty straight forward and easy. The website is pretty seamless for paying for the class and signing up for the time. The communication up to the day was fantastic. It was raining the day I was taking my class and my instructor Amyee reached out to me to keep me posted on any possible changes. The Lesson There was a little bit of rain and and Amyee was keen to ask me if I wanted to move forward as she was happy to reschedule my lesson. I opted to move forward which I don't regret. The rain made the temperature cooler to take the lesson. I Iove Amyee's teaching style. She is super enthusiastic about paddle boarding. Most importantly she is very thoughtful about safety. She was very thorough about what my expectations are and what the strokes were to prep me before going on the water. My favorite part of her teaching style AND taking a private lesson is that she is super focused on making sure that I have the correct form and I'm not starting off with bad habits. Even though I was chatting with her about my life during the lesson, she was extra focused on correcting me to ensure that I have the correct form to operate the paddle board in the most efficient and safe way. After taking this class I'm excited to get out and paddle board more often. Most importantly I'm looking forward to taking more classes with her so that I can gain more confidence with being on open water. If you've been thinking about learning, I highly recommend iPaddle.

I was down in Miami Beach celebrating my 50th birthday and wanted to do something different. A…read morefriend and I decided to try eFoiling, and after some searching, I found Miami Beach Paddleboard online and booked a session. We met our instructor, Maria, and her mom, who came along for the ride. Maria was awesome--happy, full of energy, and super easy to work with. Our original session was scheduled for Saturday, but when we arrived, the eFoil boards were having connectivity issues with their app. Maria apologized and said she'd check in with the shop owner to see if we could reschedule. In the meantime, she let us use paddleboards for free, so we still got to enjoy some time on the water. The next morning (Sunday), Maria texted to say everything was working again, so we headed back for a noon session--and it was an absolute blast. She even took some great videos of us out on the water. Definitely recommend booking a class with Maria!

Owner or manager was very helpful. Equipment is inflatable only. I have never been on an inflatable until today, only epoxy. It is much lighter to walk with, that is the only plus over epoxy. They are hard to sup if any wind or bump vs epoxy. On this day it was 92 and super humid so only paddled about an hour. Time well spent. I bookmarked for next time I am in South Beach.

I needed to renew my ACA instructor certification and wanted to get WPA instructor certification, so I did an ACA Level 1 and 2 SUP workshop and WPA level 1 SUP instructor training/certification with TFY. Meghan is the best SUP instructor/instructor trainer I've had. She's obviously very knowledgeable, but more importantly, she's also awesome at conveying that knowledge. We covered a huge amount of information in the ACA L1/2 workshop, but she made it manageable and easily understandable. The welcome letter she sends prior to class is very helpful and lets you know what to bring, the schedule, and what to expect. Her videos are also extremely helpful to watch beforehand. I thought the ACA workshop would be largely review for me, but I was surprised by how much I learned. She's also very upbeat, encouraging, and patient, and her low-pressure approach creates the perfect environment for learning. She taught high school math for 9 years, and I think her background in education plus her SUP knowledge and skills make her an outstanding instructor and instructor trainer. I'm looking forward to returning for ACA L1/2 instructor certification training.

We checked in, left an ID, signed their waiver, and then we were off to get life vests and paddles/kayaks. They also rent bikes and paddle boards. (We stuck with kayaking for the day.) the weather was gorgeous and the water and scenery beautiful once we got out. I would recommend taking lunch and picnicking on their many tables or surrounding grass area. Another tip, show your reservation for kayaking to the guard/park entrance official that you booked a trip with VKOC and they will waive the $8 park fee. And then enjoy the beaches and scenery.
