Do not even think about this place if you are seeking a pediatric physician group! We were patients…read morefor many years. Thankfully we did not have to use them for anything major. However, recently our daughter became ill and we made an appointment. We were not allowed to see a physician because the first thing they do is try to pawn you off to a nurse practitioner. That would not have been bad, however, the nurse practitioner was unable to figure out what the illness was. She ordered increasingly expensive and invasive testing. We refused to take the nurse practitioner's suggestions and asked to see and actual physician. We were told, through a secretary that no physician in the office would see us because they depend on the advice of the nurse practitioner. We immediately made an appointment with another physician practice and that physician immediately diagnosed bronchitis and gave her an antibiotic which cleared up her illness immediately. In their to quest to shuttle loyal patients to non-doctors and to avoid giving out antibiotics, they lose sight of the individual patient. Our daughter had not had antibiotics for years. There was no reason for us to spend thousands of dollars on x-rays and ultrasounds when one round of antibiotics cleared up the whole problem. This practice is all about money. The welfare of patients does not even rate a close second in importance. Avoid this place.

Our kids have been patients at Pediatric Associates of Dayton for 10 years, and we have found the…read morestaff to be attentive and compassionate. I have at times wished they knew more about specific conditions and I do agree with the other reviews that it's hard to get a hold of them, especially for scheduling sick appointments or getting vaccination records. I am eagerly waiting for them to be reachable via MyChart, which is actually why I am leaving a review. I noticed that they don't have resources on autism on their website [They have patient education resources on ADHD, impetigo, puberty, and more, for context). I would have emailed them about it, but there is no clear way to do this. The Doctors we've seen are great but the vast majority of nonclinical and clinical staff have…read moreattitudes and aren't helpful in any sense. We've had to reschedule before due to their lack of keeping track how often our kids could have a vaccine (wasted hours plus drive not counting the time taken from work). They are on a paper system with no digital website to track appointments or tests or what not. When you need to schedule an appt good luck without sitting on hold for half an hour. Need to ask a question of the clinical staff for symptoms your child is experiencing? Then you better get ready to be disregarded. Looking to get in and out of appointments? Better block out at least 2 hours of time at being inside their facility. Want the nurse to come back quickly and give your child shots? Better start the clock because every time it's at least 30 minutes before they come back into the room once the Dr leaves. Highly frustrated with this place. The only saving grace is the doctors. Don't get me started on the sign that says to be nice to their staff and they are short staffed. Who isn't short staffed, do your job right and you won't hear anyone being frustrated with your practice! If you have endless amounts of time to wait for everything related to this place and want attitude 80% of the time along with it. This place is for you.

They insisted on a charge card even though I provided 2 insurance cards. I checked BBB the next day and learned of their practice of filing fraudulent charges. My Explanation of Benefits from insurance company indicate they were paid the plan allowance on 7/15/26. I received a notice they'd be filing a charge on my charge card on 7/18/26 so I called and reached a virtual assistant who told me there was no balance due. Yet they filed a charge for a partial payment on 7/20/26. My bank has denied my dispute because CG Medical Associates filed the claim. According to internet, CG Medical Associates does business as CareFirst. I'm guessing this is how to manage to get double payments. Next time I'll go to emergency vet instead!
