We've had a few visits to the ER, both at the main campus and the South campus. Every time it has been great for us. We have five children, and this was the best civilian ER care we received for them out of everywhere we've lived. The expertly removed the pennies from my son's nose, got my daughter x-rayed and out the door in a timely manner, and manage my son's migraines with so much compassion. Which leads into the neurology clinic. Every person we have encountered has been amazing. From the front desk staff, the nurses and providers. My son sees Sara Adduchio, NP and Debra O'Donnell, MD. They both go above and beyond to help us. My son has had some very debilitating headaches, and they compassion is next level. I would recommend the neurology clinic at Children's to anyone that asks. They are always offering extra resources and way to help him, and even help us with dealing with other issues not directly related to the migraines, like having the psychologist come in to talk about getting him additional help with learning to manage his pain.

I have at times wished they knew more about specific conditions and I do agree with the other reviews that it's hard to get a hold of them, especially for scheduling sick appointments or getting vaccination records. I am eagerly waiting for them to be reachable via MyChart, which is actually why I am leaving a review. I noticed that they don't have resources on autism on their website [They have patient education resources on ADHD, impetigo, puberty, and more, for context). I would have emailed them about it, but there is no clear way to do this. We've had to reschedule before due to their lack of keeping track how often our kids could have a vaccine (wasted hours plus drive not counting the time taken from work). They are on a paper system with no digital website to track appointments or tests or what not. When you need to schedule an appt good luck without sitting on hold for half an hour. Need to ask a question of the clinical staff for symptoms your child is experiencing? Then you better get ready to be disregarded. Looking to get in and out of appointments? Better block out at least 2 hours of time at being inside their facility. Want the nurse to come back quickly and give your child shots? Better start the clock because every time it's at least 30 minutes before they come back into the room once the Dr leaves. Highly frustrated with this place. The only saving grace is the doctors. Don't get me started on the sign that says to be nice to their staff and they are short staffed. Who isn't short staffed, do your job right and you won't hear anyone being frustrated with your practice! If you have endless amounts of time to wait for everything related to this place and want attitude 80% of the time along with it. This place is for you.

Long story short after several months of no resolution we asked to go to a GI doctor. Willimitus sent the request but did not send it as a priority so we had 3 months wait to get in. I asked him to resend it as a priority due to the severity of his symptoms but he would not do it. When I called the GI myself trying to get a earlier date they said the pediatrician had to do it. The pediatrician is the only one that can do this and as we learned this would only take a few minutes of his time to complete. After we waited for several weeks because he would not make the phone call to get him in sooner we took him to the ER. The ER nurse calling us with the results got us in at Childrens GI within a week because his results were so bad he needed immediate attention. After this happened we got a new pediatrician and they only asked where to send his file and they never asked why we switched or followed up with us to see what the problem was or how he was doing. Although they did call to ask for the 20 dollars to transfer the records (which I had already paid). My son was living with a severe case of ulcerative colitis and today he no longer has a colon. He went more than several months without being treated although we kept pushing. By the time he was treated he was jaundice, lost 40 pounds, iron deficient going to the restroom at least a dozen times a day. But, Willimitus would never know that because my son was just a number to him. I know now if I would of stayed with the nurse practitioner she would of been on top of it, she would of made sure he was seen by the GI Specialist as a priority. Boy did I make the biggest mistake of my life when I asked for Willimitus.

The worse thing iEvery time I i need to call to seR my doctor the worst people I encounter are the front two people sitting at the front windows of this drs office. Their names are Julie & Amy are the absolute rudest receptionists I have EVER encountered at any drs office in the entire Miami Valley. Neither of them want to be bothered by any patients whatsoever ... they also do not work there hardest to get you in to see a dr EVER. Does NOT matter how sick any of you or any of your kids are. I do not recommend this place nor any doctors here. The drs are not successful here because of there RUDE staff! ... when or if I am reluctant to call them -one of us MUST BE truly in need DESPERATELY to see the dr or nurse - we R VERY SICK!! Heck with trying to follow up on any other illnesses; or needs. This IS just how awful the staff are there. Including the office manager. She has sent my family letters that most any other drs in this universe would NEVER send to their patients. This is worst situation to be in ever. I truly do not think or believe that these drs are aware that their staff (that mainly answer their phones & see people first once anyone walks in) are terribly horrible people. I am hopeful that anyone with in their Administration at the big Kettering hospital will read this and take heed by helping this (our) community center drs office clean out the bad employees. Kindly. Otherwise if this continues to drag on; I will send a letter to the hospital. I would highly suggest any administrator with Kettering Health look in to this immediately.
