A county park across the street from Loggers Run and its the perfect place to spend the day walking or exercising...i wish i had my bike today to ride through the whole park but we drove around most of it. Went to the Pickle Festival and spent a few hours then hung out at a wooden path to watch the turtles swim under the lily pads. Great place to bring your kids for a picnic and play with them in the open fields. My hubby wants to come back with our bikes next week. Did i mention that entry was totally free? Also dogs are allowed in the park on a leash but they have a dedicated off-leash park called Canine Cove. read more

This park is in the middle of a residential neighborhood. I was glad for my navigational device help in finding it. It was twists and turn getting here. I didn't see any signs pointing to a park nearby, only at the entrance. It had a few entrances. A nice park with things to do. The first thing I saw, saw tennis courts. This park had a good amount. To the other entrance or exit of the park. I saw a little fenced area . It had water slides. I noticed plenty of walking trails. Plenty of trees around for shade. It was a nice park with plenty of parking all around. read more

Attended the South Florida Food and Craft Fair again this year. Wonderful experience with bands, the craft booths, and all the food trucks (yummy). We walked around the booths first, then evaluated all the food trucks before stopping by the Mexican food truck. After getting our food, sat down underneath the tents and watch the band played. Overall, a very nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon. See all the pictures I took. read more

I recently visited South County Regional Park for the Watermelon Festival and had such a lovely experience. The event felt very family-oriented, making it especially great for those with younger children. There was a wide variety of food options to enjoy, including hot dogs, jerk chicken, sausages, ice cream, and more, so there was something for everyone. Overall, it was a fun, relaxed atmosphere and a great way to spend the day outdoors with family. read more

South County Regional Park is truly a gem in West Boca Raton. This park has something for everyone. My dog and I enjoy long walks along the trails. So many wide open fields that are perfect for picnics, yoga in the shade, or a game of catch. The variety of sports facilities is wonderful, soccer fields, baseball and softball diamonds, basketball and volleyball courts, bocce ball, free-use pickleball courts (first come first serve), and handball courts. There's also a private tennis academy within the park. There are several areas with different types of swings or jungle gyms for kids to play. Bring your sunscreen and water to stay cool and protected. Unless there's a weekend little league or soccer game, there are no vendors available to purchase food or drinks. Plenty of public restrooms available. Within the park is the Daggerwing Nature Center and Preserve, with an indoor exhibit facility and walking trails that let you immerse yourself in Florida's natural landscape. Wildlife sightings are part of the charm, including the occasional gators, huge iguanas crawling by the waterways, and random parakeets. The dog parks are spacious and well-kept, with 2 sections, depending on the size of the dog. Pavilions are available for rent with access to outdoor grills. The water park (seasonal and admission fee), with its lazy river is always a hit on warm summer days. If you time your visit right, the sunsets here are absolutely extraordinary, some of the best in the area. An amphitheater provides a well used venue for various open air concerts and festivals. Races are often held in this area. The Osprey Golf Course is also located within the south side of the park. We're incredibly fortunate to have such a vibrant, green oasis right here in West Boca Raton. read more

Such a great park with so much to do. They have amazing food truck and craft fair events.

Came her for the 2024 Spartan race, really cool park for this as it offers different terrain. Spacious Park for everything; picnic, climbing, bike riding and family fun! Plenty of parking and it was free to get in. read more

Beautiful park and everyone had a great time. It's upsetting that you pay to rent a place and they don't clean it up before you arrive. Garbage bags were clean and bbq was cleaned out but all the tables abs benches were filled with bird waste from end to end which took a good hour to clean up and chalk writing on the floor which could have been hosed down very easily and yet it was not. I couldn't do it as guests were arriving No one wants the words happy b*day written by on the floor. Otherwise great location read more

I love this park because there is so much to do here! The full name of the park is Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park. Burt Aaronson was a former Palm Beach County Commissioner who was the driving force to create the park. He passed away in 2018. The park is home to the outdoor Sunset Cove Amphitheater. It hosts many shows throughout the year and a full list can be found on the parks website. A favorite memory was getting to see Imagine Dragons perform here before they were well known. I also have great memories of taking my daughter to the Coconut Cove Water Park also located inside the park. It's a small sized water park perfect for kids 12 and under. They have two water slides, a lazy river, a splash playground and a pool. I spent many hot summer days there with my daughter and her friends when she was younger. Another great place in the park is the Daggerwing Nature Center. There is a 3,000 foot exhibit hall with classrooms and displays. Behind the hall is a two trail elevated boardwalk that leads to an observation tower. The staff here puts on many educational programs throughout the year. If all that wasn't enough there is also 4 lighted baseball fields, 2 basketball courts, volleyball courts, an almost 5 mile bike path, boat launch, picnic pavilions, exercise stations, a dog park, a playground, racquetball courts, and a golf course. Whether you are into team sports, fishing, playing with your four legged friend, or looking to cool off in a splash park you can do it all here. Mr. Aaronson did the Boca Raton and it's visitors a wonderful service by preserving this green space for so many people to enjoy. Although he has passed his contribution is serving the people in his beloved community every day. read more

This park is absolutely massive! There are literally a bunch of different kids parks all over the park which is really cool. If you feel like one is too crowded you could always go to a different one. There's also a massive fenced in park that is right next to a massive fenced in dog park. I really like that the large park is good for a wide variety of ages and that the park is fenced in because I feel comfortable with the children going around to either side of the park. There is a nice loop around the park so you can walk around as a parent. I do wish the whole area was covered but at the same time that would be a pretty massive cover given how large the park is. There is also a water park that is open during the warmer times of the year which looks perfect for a wide variety of ages with a wide variety of features. It has a shallow area for younger children, slides, and a lazy river. read more

South County is one of my favorite parks ever!!! They have one of the prettiest sunsets and so many different things to do, a dog park, a lake, soccer/football fields, volleyball court, it's amazing! read more

This is one huge park! There is an amphitheater, a water park, a public golf court, a nature center, ponds and a lake, as well as the usual playground and doggy park. Making this park, officially the biggest and best I've been here in Florida. Of course nothing tops Central Park in New York City. It is beautifully maintained and remarkably free of litter. There are many little shacks where people can seat and have a picnic, as well as paid pavilions to throw birthday parties and/or bbq's. Call me impressed. I will definitely be back to check out the water park. read more

A HUGE park located as far west as you can go in Boca. Entrances off of both Glades Rd and Yamato Rd. This park has amenities including a huge dog park (Canine Cove) which is separated for small and large dogs, a kids playground (which has a side for larger and small children), an amphitheater (which hosts concerts, events and food truck invasions), a boat ramp for the lake, pavilions, a water park (open during the summers), and lots of bike and jogging paths. This truly is a great place for an outing of any type. There is something for everyone to enjoy here. read more

Very quiet, clean park with loads of green places. Dog park has areas for small, medium and large dogs. Plenty of space to run around. Area for dogs to drink or to wash your dog. Lots of people bring their dogs. Nice conversations in getting to know their owners. Restrooms and child recreational areas within doggie area. This is the perfect place to go just to get away from the bustling city. A day out among nature while the dog plays with other dogs. I would definitely recommend this park. read more

Easy/close access. Open to public from Dawn to Dusk. Multiple venues for all age groups. Entrance road reminds me of "The Long and Winding Road" with its many twists and turns. Great place for bike ride, walk/jog, or casual drive thru. Picnic area by boat ramp is good place to take pics of a beautiful sunset. Attended a few concerts there. Lumineers was a fantastic show that I specifically remember along with some other local tribute bands playing there years back. I heard something recently on 98.7 about local bands returning again. This would again be a welcome addition to our community. Dr on Health channel stated that listening to different forms of music helps produce new neural pathways in our brains with possible reduction to Alzheimer's/Dementia. There is also a nature trail for a quiet walk located next to the nature center. A tower is located at the end for a wonderful surveyor outlook of the area. Factual info about some local flora and greenery are posted along the leisurely walk. Golfing, Amphitheatre, Nature Center, Ballparks, Summer swimming area, I think Racquetball, etc. all there for families, visitors to this area or anyone. Picnic tables and grills are readily available. Small lake with ramp for jet skiers. smaller boats or other watercraft. Not sure on size limits. Ck website for info. This makes it an all around good place for locals, field trips between counties and visitors to the area as well. On a personal note, Recently, I discovered a Zebra Long-winged butterfly with one top thorax wing partially torn off. I found out that that sort of found wildlife is not accepted for donation there and a referral to a wildlife center in Coral Springs next to Sportsplex was given for some reason by a volunteer, possibly. Was missing part of a top wing and I saw it struggling to fly. Kept it overnight as it hung upside down in a leftover insect holder wondering if it's short life of approx. 60 days was worth saving and how I would keep it comfortable away from predators and possibly feed it. It's lifespan is the longest living butterfly according to a website I read. After 24 hrs, it flipped over from being upside down as if it needed rest and was ready to go. Much to my amazement, it flew without wing being repaired after all or help from anyone. Saw young girl on social media repairing one she with feathers and releasing theirs. This one didn't need it at all. The rest helped, I guess. Had a Florida cooter turtle that my little girl, at the time, wanted to bring home as a pet. We kept it as long as we could in aquarium but "Turk" outgrew his/her aquarium. He/she is hopefully in better surroundings as I returned it to its original habitat in the lake near where it was found. I was told by someone their I shouldn't be taking it in the first place but how could a Mom resist giving a child a pet when small. Was the size of a quarter when we found it on a sidewalk by a lake where we live. It grew sooo big! Probably 9-10 inches across. I hope instinct kicked in. A good family pet for years. I swear he/she turned around and looked at me before it swam away! Happy to be free! read more

I came here to work for a day (Volunteer) for Deliver the Dream. It was a really nice park. Very pretty. It has views of lakes and golf courses. There's a dog friendly area. They even have a water park! Yes a water park. It's a shame parks are only this nice in Boca! I'll probably never be back, but only because it's far from my house. read more

Came out here recently for an office BBQ picnic at the Sunset Pavilion. The park is very expansive, with lots of winding roads and large remote areas between the main park amenities, so it can be quite confusing to navigate once you're within the confines of the park. I definitely recommend familiarizing yourself with how to get to your destination before arriving, or you might end up driving in circles. The park itself is very nice! Lots of greenery, flat open land (perfect for sports),beautiful lakes, and pavilions to sit, eat, relax, etc. in the shade. The pavilion we were at was big and very accommodating for a large group, with grills, long tables, gazebos, and more with a cool water view. I enjoyed the time I spent here, and hope to come back at some point for my own recreational purposes, or to enjoy one of the many events I've seen are often hosted here throughout the year. read more

Aside from being way out west and a bit farther than my usual surroundings, its a beautiful park with pavilions, lots of "play area" and even a water park. Came for a friend's birthday gathering and was pleased with how clean and kept the grounds were and how beautiful the suuroundings were. Enjoyable for the walkers, runners, cyclists and party-goers alike! read more
