I already had low expectations regarding this place due to the negative press of this franchise…read more They have a reputation for being weird about the dress code. I read stories about pregnant women being asked to leave because their belly showed a bit under their shirt, or fit women wearing sports bras intimidating the other gym members. I thought I would be OK because I dress conservatively and was fully covered. One day I wore a stretch denim pant with a t-shirt and jacket over it because I'm always cold inside. I've worn it numerous times before - it was never an issue. One day I was suddenly told I couldn't wear it - specifically the demin pant. I didn't make a scene. I said OK, and immediately canceled my membership and never returned. No explanation was given to me as to why they would have an issue with it. It's a pair of pants. I was fully clothed. No explanation whatsoever. As I previously stated, I was already aware this franchise with super weird about people's clothing. The only reason I joined this gym was because the membership here is the cheapest. But the dress code wasn't the only reason I had quit. It was the last straw. If you're a woman trying to lift weights, get ready to wait a long time to even have access to the weights. There aren't enough 5lb - 8lb weights to go around. In fact, they only have one set of each - so if someone is using them, get ready to wait a while. It's also very crowded. The Wakefield branch in particular has this weird knack for randomly blocking off the inside doors (there's a set of doors that lead directly into The Wakefield Mall). Again, no explanation provided - sometimes the doors are open, and sometimes they aren't - they just randomly block the doors so that if you wanted to go to the mall (like Panera) to get a bite to eat after the workout, you now have to walk outside, in the cold, instead of just going through the entrance like any normal person.

PF is the cheapest fitness option, by far, in South County. If you can afford to pay more at a more…read moreexpensive option, you should do it. Pros: plenty of aerobic and weight-lifting equipment. Convenient location. Extensive hours Negatives: 1. equipment is always out of service. Last week, 1 of the 2 hand dryers in men's locker room, 1 of 2 urinals, 3 of 5 upright bikes, 1 of 4 stair masters all out of service. And the repairs literally take WEEKS before the equipment is returned to operation 2. the place is PACKED. You occassionally can't get a treadmill or eliptical without waiting and forget about jumping on an empty stair master. Locker room is usually in need of a 'refresh' and sometimes there is no hot water for taking a shower. (In the staff's defense, there is never a time when the locker room can be 'shut down' to be cleaned.)

The membership is overpriced for the equipment and state of the gym. In general there are much better options for a similar price do not go there. They follow the example of the owner who is just an awful human.

I've been a member of this gym since they first opened their doors. The staff are knowledgeable,…read morehelpful, and all around excellent people. The gym is always clean, and one of the things I love most about the gym is how often the ownership is re-investing into the place. They regularly order new equipment, replace or repair equipment, and they are always striving to organize the layout of the gym for optimal performance from all patrons. All of the low star reviews of the club are from forever ago. If you're looking for a location to start, or continue your fitness/wellness journey, rely on the recent comments and source beyond just Yelp. Or, even better, go in and speak with the Anytime team. I've been doing personal training there for a little over a year now. Of late, been working with Nick who prepares incredible workouts for me every time I walk through the doors. The personal trainers at Anytime take the time to sit down with you, chat in-depth about your fitness goals and how you'd prefer to arrive at your results, and then cater workouts and activies that fit your unique needs. Other benefits include: being open 24/7. Early riser who likes to get a session in before work, they're open. Night owl who prefers to get a session in after work? They're open. Shift worker? Guess what, they're open. I've always found my membership there to be really straight forward and easy to understand. If you have questions, the team there will work with you to figure something out.
