What better way to celebrate your birthday than with one of your favorite food groups...ice cream…read more Yes, it is a food group and if anyone tells you differently you do not need that kind of negativity in your life. Stopped in here following lunch, to find a bright spot in the food scene - I succeeded! A great little place, with fantastic ice cream, and nostalgia tucked in the corner candy section. I wanted one of everything on the menu, it was hard to make my decision. Opted for a Sunday (I was actually there on a Subday and found it fitting). The staff were friendly, the shop very neat with quirky pieces of furniture. Great place to stop on Route 66 for a refreshing treat. Date night, meeting friends, family outing, or to celebrate milestones...ice cream should always be part of the equation.

I started looking around and then asked, do I just serve myself? She nodded, still not speaking. I served myself and the yogurt was runny. I probably should have dumped it out at this point but paid for it. I was extremely disappointed in the taste for the price. The best part was the few reese's peanut butter cup pieces I had put on it.

The space is reminiscent of grandma's kitchen. The counter is full of delicious homemade pies. The menu offers just about any pie your heart could possibly desire. I went with the classic apple crumb. This one will rank up high on my list of favorites. We added a slice of peach pie and a slice of coconut cream pie to round out the experience. The crust is flaky and tender. Fruit pies a filled with fruit and the cream pie was rich and creamy. The proprietor was very kind and helpful in making recommendations. Please note: you will definitely get what you pay for. The slices are about $10 each. Each pie is cut in 6 slices making a generous portion.

Very fast door dash. Love their pasta and food. Usually hot and fresh. Really like their gelatoread more

I usually ignore considering its maybe cause I am an international student. But recently she went ham. I was entering kroger and I met 2 of my friends from college on my way in. Since I met them in the store , we chatted while be bought our groceries. When it came to getting checked out, Kathy was staring at me again. They went for self check out while I went for the billing counter and she threw a fit to the fact that I was buying alcohol and had my ID but that my friends who I met at the store should show their ID as well because I came to buy myself alcohol. All the other employees were fine but she created a big scene with all the other customers staring at us like we did something wrong and my friends were apologizing to me for talking to me in the store and being around me while we chatted and talked. I told her we dont live together , and we were going to our separate homes but she was just loud and rude and I must say, it seemed she was pissed at me which was usual by the way she stares at me all the time, but her making humiliating me and my friends in public was just disgusting and I think I am done with shopping at kroger. Might just shop at Walmart instead.

I originally ordered a meal but then since I don't get a drink, I changed it to a sandwich and fries. I think he left the original meal on AND added a sandwich but never gave us the meal???? As for the food... it was ok. I mean, the loose meat "burger" wasn't overly flavorful. Both my sister and I said it needed more mustard. The fries reminded me of McDonald's. The fried mushrooms were ok. The kids seemed to enjoy their FREE ice cream included with their kid's meals. The decor is old. Guess it hasn't changed in like 35+ years. It was ok but I don't think I'd return.

The seafood was great quality. The pasta was al dente. They didn't remove the tip of the shrimp tails (but that was okay). The other thing we noticed is we didn't get any garlic bread or breadsticks. Their entrees on their menu are served with a vegetable and potato and some include bread. Even Applebees includes a garlic bread stick. I expected more from a "high end restaurant". Service was outstanding. The ambiance is lacking in an open, lack of space area. There is no separation from other customers.

She became more engaged when, I believe, she saw we were not having the best experience so I give 4/5 stars for noticing but also because she was more attentive and gave me an extra plate quickly when I asked bc of the steak swimming in clarified butter that was supposed to be in a separate dish for the lobster instead of floating around the plate. Ribeye was actually really thin. You can see in the pics, about the same size as a thin ribeye from a recent grocery purchase I made. It was actually cooked well - for the size I would have expected overdone. Biggest issue is when I cut a piece and started to chew I had the shockwave from teeth on bone. A little chunk of bone was still in the ribeye. Pic included. I told her after we paid so she could warm the kitchen staff. Ribs - fine. Lobster - rubber. Could have thrown it across the room and it would have bounced at least twice. See pics. Also, the butter issue. Sides - side salad was crisp and the cucumber was fresh. Mash was interesting, and that could be because it's processed potato, a gluey issue from over-mixing, or that it was also taking a swim in the spilled butter. Fries were very tasty. Mac was okay. Overall spend with drinks was $109 with a 20% tip. I would not say it was worth it. We basically ate the salad and bread and called it a day.
