Went in for a matching tattoo while on vacation, picked a lotus. I was indecisive about size and placement, but always reiterated that it was to be done in RED. decided against placing it on my wrist because the artist suggested there was too much red in that area. Long story short, he did my tattoo in the wrong color. I had to stop him and let him know. WTF. And in addition to being the WRONG COLOR ink, the work is atrocious. The lines are crooked, they dont connect and the shading is gross. Its easily the worst tattoo ive seen in person. Update- Parts of the tattoo have completely fallen off. Awful. read more

This place is located next door to Pizza Rustica. The receptionist was pretty cool-friendly and knowledgeable. My best friend and I went in to get our tragus pierced. You fill out the paperwork, then we waited briefly. Adrian, who tattoos as well pierced us both. Great personality, quite humorous! It was pretty quick, 5 minutes for mine and half of that was getting the back of the earring screwed on. Didn't hurt like I thought it would. Hearing it pierce through my skin was worse than the physical part. I don't know if this is their normal pricing but it was buy one piercing, get one free! Who doesn't love BOGO??! You also had the option of buying the piercing and getting the jewelry for free. $50 for the piercing, $20 for the jewelry. We just split the $70. Definitely recommend! read more

I called this place and asked if they did henna tattoos and the guy replied "yes, we do." I walked several blocks, arrived and told the guy sitting in the front I wanted the henna tattoo. He immediately replied we don't do that. I was surprised and quickly stated I just called and the guy said henna tattoos are available here. He called another guy and commented who I spoke with stepped out for a second. I waited and waited. He finally came back and told me it would be $40 and he quickly mentioned it's stencil, but because I wasn't familiar, it didn't register what he was referring. Well, I paid $40 for a stencil tattoo that lasted less than 12 hours. I showered and it was gone. A total waste of money. He said it would last 1 or 2 days and I said "no, they last about a week". Again, I wasn't familiar with stencil. I was referring to henna. If you're wanting a henna tattoo, please keep your money and go someplace else. If you're looking for a stencil tattoo that lasts less than 12 hours, give these folks a try. read more

1/28/19 Broke down and went to the doctor as when I woke up you could see my flesh. See the attached 12 day pic. My doctor was horrified. I now have a prescription for oral and topical antibiotics, will be getting a Hepatitis shot and a follow up visit. This has been the worst experience ever. The artist that did it was Milana Goings. Please beware. 1/25/19 Its been 9 days since my original awful. I have no hope that this will heal and look like a compass. Every person that I show says it looks terrible, like she dug in my skin, and asks what the tattoo is. It feels like she dug in my skin to make matters worse so the area is a little swollen and red. I am going to see my doctor at this point because this isnt normal. I've been getting tattoos for 20 years and this is the worst one I've ever got. 1/17/19 UPDATE: I went back in today and the manager Jerome was very apologetic and offered a refund or for another artist to do some touch ups. Paid for the tattoo and was assigned a young lady to hook me up. She printed the tattoo off and traced it. We decided on placement and got started. It was taking a little longer than I expected so I asked how it was coming along and she said great. I thought either she is a perfectionist or doesn't know what she is doing. Well what I ended with is not something I'm happy at all with at all. The lines are not straight and some parts are thicker than others. I go to show the shop manager and instead of looking at the picture and seeing the obvious hiccups his response was that I need to get with the artist because he is just the manager and not the artist. Understood but as the manager if he looked he would see the errors and provide empathetic resolution for an unhappy customer. I asked another artist and he agreed the lines could be straighter. I asked if someone else could fix it and he said I would need to get with the manager..insert sarcastic great. The young lady offered to touch it up. At first I agreed but then changed my mind cause I didn't want to mess it up more. She advised me that touch ups are free. Insert another sarcastic great. Good thing I was just ending my amazing Birthday in Miami with a permanent tattoo I'm unhappy with I think overall I'm more upset with the manager because people make mistakes. Maybe she was new...who knows...but it was the lack of care on how to fix the mistake. I wasnt demanding a discount or my money back so it could have been handled differently. I came in to get a septum piercing yesterday and they said they didn't have horseshoe jewelry but that a curved barbell would work as well. When I was getting pierced, the piercer put the needle in, took it all the way out, and put it back in (unnecessary trauma that hurt ridiculously) all for my piercing to be lopsided. I asked the piercer why it looked so crooked and she assured me it was fine. Once I got home, I got real close with a mirror and realized that my piercing's entry point is much higher on the right side than on the left meaning it was pierced at a diagonal angle rather than straight across so my piercing is crooked and I wasted money for something I'll have to get removed ASAP. I have a small nose and it hangs so low on the left side that I can't flip it to hide it. read more

I don't even know where to begin. This place was so good, I'd give em MORE stars. Here's what went down....My wife and I took a cruise to the Bahamas and wanted to stay a night in Miami Beach. And lucky for us, we stumbled across this shop. We were also with friends, making it a 4 person group. They all went inside and I stayed outside and had a long convo with Anthony, aka Amp. We talked about many different things, but he never ONCE tried to sell me. I respected that and sensed it immediately. I decided to see what he would charge to do colored on what " I thought " would be difficult to duplicate ( Its a one-of-a-kind white sturgeon fish ). After showing me he had the colors, we talked price and being from California ( a tourista...LoL ), I was REALLY worried I'd get the " Out-of-towner rate " and to my surprise it was VERY fair. And let me just tell you, Amp is sure handed, soft handed, and pays attention to details. I left very satisfied and EVERYONE in my group got inked and we ALL Love it ! I highly recommend this place for ANYTHING you can think of. I'd also like to note that ALL their artists are very good, and very nice. This is a better souvenir than a silly mass produced T-Shirt. My sisters and I went to this place to get a tattoo to commemorate our sisterhood by getting a tattoo that said sisters with a heart on our foot. We went into the shop at approx. 1:30am after leaving another tattoo shop because of the 3 hour wait. So we walked down the street to this spot. Brian let us know he would be able to do our tattoos. Originally my younger sister and I were there and was waiting on our older sister(her first tattoo) which took her all of 5 mins to get there since we were all at the beach. By this time is was around 2am we'd chosen our tattoo but was told their card machine was working and that we needed to have cash. So I went across to the 7-11 to use the ATM which was out of order and ended up across the street at Friendz store using the ATM there. (time stamp on receipt 2:11am) Brian assures us "Oh this is about a 5 -10 min tattoo." Brian finally decided to draw up our tattoos before putting them on us. We sat for a few moments at Brian fiddled with the machine which made us all feel extremely nervous and afraid, by this time it was approx 2:40am. My older sister literally fell asleep in the chair twice because the machine Brian attempted to use seemed to not be working. By this time approx 3:30am My older sister had had enough and was ready to go after having sat in a chair preparing for a tattoo that NEVER took place for an hour. *As We were in Florida for our oldest sisters wedding and this was night before the wedding which we had to be on the ship at 10am. So at this point since NO SERVICE was provided, we asked for our money back total $240, in return we were told that we couldn't have a refund and that their paper work stated so, which in fact is a LIE. In reading the paper work NO WHERE on it said that there were no refunds. After talking to the "owner" Brian was told to give us 1/2 of our money back and for us to return the next day for the remainder. Which DID NOT HAPPEN WHEN WE RETURNED and sat in the shop for another 2 hrs waiting on Brian, the "owner" and the police. To make an extremely long story short -The police were called -The police are involved -The police filed a theft report -The owner "Jerome" (if that is the owners real name is a liar and is not doing "GOOD" business AT ALL!!! -The other employees were extremely rude. Coming in the front desk was nice, the guy helped me with my tattoo designs and helped me with the paperwork and everything then when he called up my artist from the last station i instantly got the feeling like he didn't want to do my tattoo, he was stomping his feet and acting like I was an inconvenience to him and whatever he was doing was more important than his job... which he was sitting at his counter doing nothing. I've always been too scared to get them changed so I thought I would let a professional do it. WRONG the "OWNER" decided to take me as his client and took my bars out no problem. Well, the first chest he went to put the new rings in he REPEIRCED MY NIPPLE! But that's normally not a bad thing if the whole is too small for the gage etc. the problem with this was he completely missed the hole and pierced the very front of the nipple. 'Wanderluste' went in and just explained that it looks like an e to be told it doesnt, laughed at and told we are being petty over a tiny line. Yeah its just a line but it looks like a misspelled word now.. was willing to pay but they werent willing to design something else because they wouldnt admit they had fucked up. Got told we checked it before we left which is true we admit that but all we want is it fixed to then be asked can we even read or spell.... shouting at your customers is not on! We choose Sobe Tattoo to be the place where I got my first tattoo. We went in about 1:15am. The guy at the counter, Brian, asked us what we wanted , gave us a price of $80 which we thought was resonable. He told us it would take 5-10 minutes for each of us. I was to go first since this was my first tattoo. At about 2:40am about an hour and a half later, I still had not gotten my tattoo. Brian said his equipment had a short in it. We asked for our money back as I was getting married the next morning we were not trying to be out that long. He refused to give us any money back. He lied and said the sheet we signed said no refunds but we read it again. It did not say that. Then he said he would have to call the Owner of the shop to give us our money back because half went to him, the other half to the shop which he was supposed to put in a safe but we saw him just put it in an envelope behind the cash register. We called the police. Brian gave us back half of the money or $120 then He called the "Owner" Jerome who said if we come back in the morning he would give us the other half of the money. This was an impossibility for me as my wedding was the next morning and we were leaving for the Bahamas after that on the cruise. My sister who was not cruising with us wrote out a contract which we all signed including Brian stating that we would get the other half of our money back. She went back after the wedding to get the rest of the money and the excuse was because we didn't come back in the morning they could not give us the money. Needless to say, we didn't get the tattoo nor did we get the other half of our money back. We still have not gotten our money even after they promised to send it. They are crooks. We were informed by the Police that normally tattoo artists only take half payment and then the rest when finished. I didn't know as this was my first time. It was not a good experience at all.
