On top of that, they promised me multiple times they would fix several issues with the car before I picked it up--issues like a strange noise from the engine and a faulty sensor. Of course, none of those problems were actually fixed. When I confronted them, the mechanic gave me excuses and acted like it was no big deal. The car still has the same problems, and now I'm stuck with a vehicle I can't fully trust. If you value your money and your peace of mind, stay far away from anyone who operates like this.
