Loved this experience. This place has definitely been around for awhile and I can see why. There was a group on the patio area where you can order tacos, I did not partake. Then the bar area inside. You can take drinks into the showroom as well. Scoped out the venue which was bigger than anticipated and really enjoyed the fish tank TVs. So fun! The show was entertaining and up to date with references all relevant to the current times. Everyone on stage was great and their chemistry can be seen. The audience was laughing 99% of the time and the show went back fast! I'd totally go back for a local Austin night out with good laughs.

They do a mix of comedy, magic, music , and just overall great entrainment for their shows. It's mainly themed around local and world politics + the LGBTQ community. Tickets are approximately $40. The show is about 90 minutes, with a 5 min break halfway through. They have a bar on site, and a taqueria that's connected to their building as well. Highly recommend the taqueria, it's authentic and delicious! Absolutely recommend for locals, visitors, and those who just want to enjoy a great show in the best city in the country!

Had some family fly in and thought we'd experience the Comedy Mothership together. Overall, it was…read morea fun experience. The staff were nice and the comedians were great. Every party was required a 2 drink minimum per person. It's a pretty pricey experience compared to other comedy clubs in town, but you pay for the name. The only hiccup I had was the line. You're advised to arrive 45mins - 1 hour early, but you just stand on the street most of the time. You can only enter the actual line when it's almost time for your show, so arriving early is not for the purpose of getting good seats. They didn't actually let us get in line until 10mins before our show. All GA seats were actually just fine. The purpose is to make sure you have enough time to get through security, but that took just a couple minutes. Would I come back? Probably not unless there was someone specific in the lineup I had to see. It was definitely something nice to experience at least once.

I was on high alert & prepared for a slightly scary experience walking to the Mothership location. I'm glad that I was prepared for a rough environment - but my experience was nothing but pleasant. There was a crowd of staff members & security present when we lined up to enter. I never felt unsafe for a moment. Staff members were super friendly, helpful & welcoming. After a short wait outside, we were escorted in & led to our table. Seating was very tight & I was halfway sitting on the lap of the fellow next to me. I could not move & that's saying a lot since I'm quite skinny. Our server arrived & took drink orders. Since my husband & I don't drink, we just ordered seltzers ($4 each-very reasonable). She returned swiftly & without disrupting the show. There is a 2 drink minimum per guest which is clearly disclosed when purchasing tickets. There was a good variety of comics. Three comics I'd never heard of though others seemed familiar with them. Tony Henchcliffe then did a set & he totally played off the audience which was great. Joe Rogan followed Tony & must've done an hour or so which included a 15 minute "ask me anything" set for the audience. This was the highlight of the show to me. The questions were so random & unexpected. I am a big supporter of "no phones" at live shows. I wish there was a clock somewhere in the room. And I wanted to take photos inside the entrance and funny enough- the women's restroom. The wallpaper was epic! Thankfully they post photos on Instagram daily so you can at least have some physical memories from your visit. We found parking directly behind the club ($20). It was only a 2 minute walk back to our car. The audience was fun and relaxed and the club has a very chill atmosphere. I definitely want to return for a "Bottom of the barrel" show one day. Overall, we had a great time. Will be back for sure.

Security decided to single me out…read more Despite empty pockets and arriving in a group, I get pulled aside and patted down MULTIPLE times. Security guard makes a really dumb statement as he touches my leg-- "hmm did you have surgery recently?" WTF? Bro get your fuggin hand off my leg you creep. Not okay. Then we get seated. 2 drink minimum. Wait staff was rude. I had the light on to call the server...no one came. I waved down a server who was helping a group directly in front of me...she snarkily said I have to leave my light on and that MY server would come to take my order. My server never came back except to hand me the closing check. I try to explain to her that I never got my second drink. She said oh well, last call passed (which she never told me). I ask for a receipt and she doesn't give it. I leave no tip. My charge was about 18.50. I look at my card statement the next day and it was rounded up to $20. What's so funny about this...after I told her the situation about the drink and we had no resolution...she literally went to the group on the left of me, and brought the guy a drink that he never received either! I thought the bar was closed??? Where is my drink??? Terrible. As for the comedy. They sucked. From the opener doing some lame "Robert De Niro" impression, to Brian Simpson (a pro). The jokes were not funny in the slightest. The audience didn't really laugh either. Overall, this was my 2nd time here and the negative experience is too much to look over. 2 stars.
