If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. The RailYard is hands down one of the best…read morerestaurants I've ever been to, and it's right here in Bluefield. From the food to the drinks to the service, every single detail is outstanding. On my first visit, I tried the fried green tomatoes, the famous chicken & waffle nachos, and the Bleu Monday burger with sweet potato fries each dish was so good that I found myself planning my return before I even left. Sure enough, the next day I was back and had the ridiculously delicious smoked Gouda shrimp mac, maple bacon Brussels sprouts, fire-roasted tomato soup with grilled cheese, and the chimmied fries. Absolutely phenomenal. The fried green tomatoes have officially become my standard nobody else compares now. The Samurai Jack salad so fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable. The drinks deserve their own spotlight. The Breakfast Club with a Sidecar is a must try, and the Basilto All Flavors series (strawberry, blackberry, blueberry) is out of this world, blueberry was my personal favorite. Creative, refreshing, and perfectly crafted. The RailYard is the kind of place that makes you excited to come back again and again. The vibe is cool, the staff/manager Brad is friendly and attentive, and the food is truly next level. Whether you're a student at Bluefield State or just passing through town, this place is an absolute must. The RailYard sets the bar high for food, drinks, and atmosphere in West Virginia. Worth every single visit and then some.

I live 50 minutes out from here and I had a doctor appointment, I stopped here because I hadn't eaten on the way down and I wanted to try something new. On my way in, the host was nice and sat me at my table, the atmosphere wasn't bad. I was in a quiet corner and it seemed like slow day for them so it felt pretty peaceful to me. I had the Mac n cheese bowl and it was delicious! Very nice and hot and it all tested pretty fresh! It came with three garlic/butter bread and they were lightly toasted on one side and it was perfect. Chad was my waiter and he did a very nice job as well, he checked on me in timely manner that wasn't to much and he was very polite and calm. So I'd definitely say I'm very satisfied with my first experience, and I think it's a nice place to give a try if you hadn't eaten there before. Of course everyone experience will be different and not as good as mine, but this definitely deserves a chance, and if I come down here again I'll definitely come back and eat here! My only "complaint" is that I would've liked more broccoli in my Mac n cheese, but it was so good that it didn't even affect my experience.

I've just been treated as rudely as I've ever been treated at any restaurant, for any reason, by them. The situation: I came there to eat with my elderly grandmother. We ordered a large veggie pizza and two fountain drinks. We sat down to wait, and did so for about 45 minutes, before she and the people at the table next to me were urging me to go complain about the wait. I said "No, I've worked at pizza places before and I know how hectic it can get. We'll be patient." After an hour had passed, I went up and asked how much longer it would be on our order. They had finished it, but rang it up as carry-out and didn't even announce that it was ready, in case someone was in the store waiting on it. No, they sat it aside in the back room, thinking the person just wasn't coming. After all this, all they could say was: "Welp. Sorry. We'll either remake it or refund you." That's it. No offers of making it right by any other means. Seeing as it had already been an hour, and grandma was very hungry, I decided we would go elsewhere and just get the refund. All they refunded was the pizza itself. Not even the drinks. Didn't even offer to let us take the old pizza that they were surely going to throw away anyway as some means of apology. I told them this was no way to do business and if that's how they are going to treat people who have bent over backwards to be good, patient customers when they've made a mistake like this, I wouldn't darken their door ever again. They said: "I don't appreciate your attitude. Fine! BYE!" (Exact quote.) Their prices are too high anyway. I still just can't even believe this. I am far, far from one to cause a scene or complain, and bite my tongue almost always, but this episode really infuriated me. 0/10 customer service. I called and left my number for the store owner to call me back and tell them about my experience, but they told me they were out of town and they didn't know when they would get back to me. Hands down the worst way I have ever been treated as a customer, anywhere.
