2 Stars I own a 2021 MB surf boat and brought it to Soundsations because the stereo receiver/head unit would no longer power on. I had seen reviews mentioning that they had worked on another MB boat and installed a transom stereo controller, so I figured they would be familiar with the electrical system. I asked them to diagnose the stereo issue, replace the fuse if needed, and install a rear transom controller. The manager was extremely polite, professional, and helpful throughout the process. Two days later I picked up the boat and paid approximately $500 in labor. Unfortunately, the following weekend I took the boat to the lake and discovered that although the stereo was working, several other systems were no longer functioning properly, including the ballast pumps, navigation equipment, and multiple switches. I then took the boat to At The Helm Marine for diagnosis. The first thing they asked me was who had recently worked on the electrical system under the dash. After I explained the work Soundsations had performed, I was advised that wiring connected to the main breaker had been cut and reconnected improperly, resulting in grounding/power faults that were affecting multiple systems throughout the boat. I ended up paying approximately another $400 in labor to have the wiring repaired and restore the boat to normal operation. I really wanted to leave Soundsations a positive review because the customer service and communication were excellent, and the manager was very pleasant to deal with. Unfortunately, based on my experience with the electrical work and the additional repairs that followed, I would not feel comfortable having them perform any electrical work on any boat again. Now that I've lived with the install for about a month, I can honestly say it looks factory. I stopped by Soundsations last Wednesday afternoon to see if they could help me with our rear entertainment screen in my Chevy Tahoe. Our second row seat hit the screen and cracked it. The Chevy dealer said it would be at least $1700 to replace. I was able to get the screen from a reputable store online, and brought it to Soundsations. Adam was so welcoming and fixed it right away. He was able to replace the screen, did a fantastic job, at a completely reasonable price. As a mom of four these kinds of things are inevitable and also stressful, but Adam and Soundsations made it easy and completely low stress. After installation, i had bad to zero radio reception. Went back and opted for a used factory unit. Waited another week for part to arrive. Unit works great, just like the original. The cheap one is getting returned for a full refund. Jordan was super patient, honest & understanding throughout this entire ordeal. Purchased a sound system from Jordon, the owner. Turns out the system will not work in my fiberglass car. Called Jordon 5 times with no return call. Drove down to his shop and he told me he take the system back. I purchased a replacement from Jordon and then he went back on his deal. He didn't take the system back and screwed me out of $ 500.00. He is not an honest person and not returning my call 5 different times is very unprofessional. I wouldn't trust this guy at all. There are plenty of other sound system shops in Santa Clarita. I called you 5 times and left 5 messages and you never called me back. In back of your store you agreed to take back unit as long as I purchased a new $ 1,700.00 unit from you. Yes you did get me $ 200.00 off, but that wasn't from you, that was from the manufacturer. You made profit on both units. You made me a deal and then decided not to honor it.
