I first called Best Buy who had installed my last dashcam at a decent price a few years ago, but that price has apparently tripled as they quoted me at nearly $450! I then called two other local businesses who both quoted me somewhere between 400-500 bucks and was even told by one of them that they don't like to install the 3-camera systems. What the crap?! I finally called 208 Audio and ended up chatting with Gene for quite awhile about the set up and what I was hoping to do. He was the only person that day of everyone I talked to who took the time to find out more about the system I got and the setup I wanted to use with it. After a detailed conversation, he told me he could do it for $200. Deal! He was able to schedule me two days out. I took my truck and system in early morning and we did some planning and troubleshooting together on where everything was going to go. After that, he told me it should be done in about 3 hours. As promised, it was done three hours later and what I picked up was a beautiful-looking job! The system worked perfectly, the cameras were all in the places we had discussed, there were no visible wires showing, and everything just looked fantastic. He honestly made it look like it was a factory-build. As weird as it sounds, it always genuinely excites me to find a local service with better prices than big box stores but still delivers the quality of a caring local business. That's what I found with Gene and 208 audio. I highly recommend and will be back for any related needs!

I found this business first based upon their good reviews but was able to ask for a quote from a few different spots all by filling out one questionnaire. Clear View responded within 20-30 minutes with a quote of $60- the best quote I was able to get. Brian, the owner, gave me an hour time window when he'd be by... none of that " We could be there around 8 am or it could be 8 pm who knows". I got a confirmation that he was on his way at the top of the time frame and I barely got through my basic scrolling on social media and he was there! Brian was friendly and efficient! The whole process was about 15-20 minutes. The fix comes with a lifetime of the car guarantee. I wasn't able to get this covered by my insurance because of my higher deductible- so I paid $60 flat in cash. Very much worth it for the service and guarantee that it won't cause any problems in the future.

None of the negative experiences were noticed today and I am pleased with this shop as a whole. Came into the shop for a quick estimate for the installation of equipment I had brought in myself for my Tacoma. It was already way more affordable than what I was quoted elsewhere. We promptly scheduled an appointment for the very next day, first thing in the morning. For context, I had purchased a cheap no-name brand deck and a kicker hideaway subwoofer- hoping it would fit into the Taco. The day of installation, at the shop I was presented a deck that was substantially better in quality from a reputable brand. Additionally, it was made for my specific Tacoma. This means that everything from steering controls to the backup camera were retained, plus it fits way better with the interior. This deck was only $100 or so more than the deck I had brought to the shop originally. Better screen, operating system, and it looked far better than what I had brought in. Easily sold me on it, I couldn't pass the deal up. There wasn't any sales pressure or anything and I could have said no, but it made more sense to take the better option. Take my money. Next, the Kicker subwoofer didn't fit... I was disappointed because I've read that people made theirs fit, but they explained what options they tried to take for it to fit and it got to the point where there weren't any options left. As an alternative, they presented me with a custom-fit box+sub made for the Tacoma. The Tacoma is tricky because of how small and limited the interiors really are, so this was a win in my book... Plus, If I were in their shoes I would do the same. If someone brings in their own equipment, I wouldn't want to damage it by trying to make something happen that shouldn't. Since nothing was broken while trying to make it work, I was able to return it to Best Buy right after my install with no issue. If I'm paying for good equipment and a professional install, I don't mind forking out an extra $100 or $200 for quality. Also, when I was originally shopping around for a sub/amp/deck equipment+install, the prices were about $500 more than what I paid for here. They treated my truck with care and expertise, I'm extremely happy with the outcome and I'm glad I chose to use their equipment instead of the stuff I brought. Overall knowledgeable, efficient, and reliable people. I live about an hour away, so when they found out I'd be hanging out at the shop to wait for my truck to be finished, they asked if I needed a ride for food, water, coffee etc. That was cool of them to offer. Solid audio shop with competitive pricing and great results. Will be returning soon to have a remote start installed.
