Needless to say I was frustrated and resigned myself to not being able to have any level of satisfactory hearing. I lived with this until a friend recommended that I should see Ron at Quality Hearing. I approached Ron in 2014 who indicated why not try and see what happens. After thorough testing Ron acknowledged my hearing difficulties and suggested hearing aids specifically designed for my situation. The positive impact was immediate. My first reaction driving home was I could actually hear the signal clicker! Funny as this might sound (no pun intended) that was how bad my hearing had deteriorated and I was previously told by my medical specialist " too bad that was the way it was!" The ability to hear again was so beneficial in many ways. My family immediately noticed that I was more positive and became more involved in family discussions. I had started to isolate myself as I had previously has so much difficulty in hearing. I enjoyed taking our dog for walks and the first time after getting the hearing aids I was amazed that we actually had birds chirping in the trees. It was amazing to me to determine how much I had lost in the time my hearing had deteriorated! The most obvious improvement was not having to always ask, "what was that? Or can you please repeat that." The service I have received from Ron and his staff at Quality Hearing Centre has always been excellent. Any issues, questions or concerns are dealt with immediately. You never feel that you are just a number or neglected after the purchase. Ron has a sincere desire to ensure that you do hear better and you can resume a normal life again. The service provided includes free maintenance which provides a great time to discuss issues that may be happening with Ron always providing input as to correcting and answering questions. I really must say that as far as my hearing is concerned the best thing that happened to me was when Ron suggested in a very positive manner, why not come in a see what we might be able to do for you! My son's father took my son in on a Wednesday night with a probably broken arm (they were the only…read moreones open with x-ray). They were short staffed that night and couldn't do the x-ray and asked if we could come back in the morning. Go back in the morning at about 9:30 for x-ray and proceed back to the vehicle to wait for the doctor to call us in with the results. By 5:30 on Thursday, they still hadn't received the results of the x-ray. When I phoned to ask them what was going on because this was ridiculous, the girl that answered the phone was rude and snotty. Kept asking me what the doctor said. When I told her we hadn't even talked to a doctor, she couldn't grasp the concept that it had been 8 hours since the x-ray and we hadn't heard from anyone. After being quite testy with her she finally "bumped his name to the top of the list." 40 minutes later they finally called to confirm a broken arm. My son sat for 24 hours with a broken arm because their support staff couldn't get their sh!t together. The support staff in this place definitely takes away from the wonderful doctors. The emergency room at RUH would have been quicker. To be clear the 2 stars are for the doctors.
