Within a couple hours of contacting and after sending pics, he was able to give me a very fair estimate over the phone and schedule me in with 10 days. Circumstances made it to where noone would be there while he worked and over the course of a week he was very respectufl of my house and belongings, always cleaning up and being mindful not to leave the place in disarray. Communication happened every morning when he came and every afternoon he would call and let me know what he did and what the plans were coming up. Clear communication, great customer service and flawless work. He is definitely the guy you want for any size drywall or paint job. As I told my wife, if I was starting a Drywall company, Mike would be the man I would hire to run it for me. He's one of the good guys.

He recently repaired a rotted-out 4x4 fence post for me. True to his word, he arrived exactly as promised, replaced the post efficiently, and now my fence is completely strong and sturdy again. Beyond that, Dave did an incredible job repairing a living room ceiling for my mom. She had a slow water leak stemming from the chimney that required a new seal. Dave didn't just fix the seal and leave; he actually waited for another classic Northwest rainy day to return and inspect his work, ensuring the seal was 100% solid and there were absolutely no fresh leaks. Only then did he patch the ceiling. He is so skilled that he perfectly matched the new plaster to the existing swirling design on her ceiling--you can't even tell where the damage was! Dave is professional, thorough, and truly cares about the quality of his work. If you need someone dependable who gets the job done right, call Dave at Tacoma Pro Handyman!

Not only did he do an absolutely fantastic job for less than the contractors I got bids from, but he also has incredible integrity: he forgot that we had agreed to 4 days worth of pay and called to tell me that I'd overpaid him. Who does that? That kind of honesty is rare in humans these days. I've been over every inch of the trim and the quality is top notch. There were several places where Casey had to do some pretty creative work to get it done, and it still looks great. I've already booked Casey for another job in the future.

I had a leak on flat roof near a drain pipe, where the drain was set too high. Greg waited a while…read moreto respond to my phone calls before calling me back. I had interviewed a few different roof contractors who were were all busy with other jobs, so I gave him the job even though his quote was the highest of all because I wanted it fixed before the next rain. He fixed my roof when he said he did, but ended up only using a very small amount of material- 1/2 sheet of plywood ($20) , maybe two rolls of roll roofing ($90 at most) and some UV reflective paint ($50 worth). It was effectively a leak and a paint job. But I noticed he did not fix the original problem causing the leak, being that the drain was set too high and caused water to pool beneath it. He didn't even start to address the moldy chipboard inside the garage to which he said he'll "do his best". After a week of waiting for the bill which he said he'd dropped off in my mailbox, I got a bizzarely rude, hostile early morning text and phone call. When I called back saying I had been expecting his bill and this was the first time he's contacted me, he gave an excuse about his phone. Even when I told him it was hostile, he did not apologize. He then instead gave me a discount on the original quoted price of $600 down to $600. Not a typo, there is no difference between those numbers. That is twice my highest estimate from other companies. In the same call I mentioned to him that the original problem, that the roof drain was still placed too high and water would pool beneath it, he said there's nothing he could do about it, and that the roof could withstand some pooling water anyway. Well that's what I hired him for. He said it would take carpentry skills, which he has but does not want to use. He would have to shave maybe an 1" high gradient off the cusp of the drain. So even though he guarantees his work, he didn't do much work to guarantee. Maybe he thought he could price gauge me since I'm the manager of a big house, but truth it's a duplex and I'm a student with a part-time to make ends meet. Fixing this leak in the roof cost me more than my recent wisdom teeth surgery.

First of all, there are a few trades you want to be careful about going with the lowest bid…read more Concrete is one of them. You get a fly-by-night crew messing up your concrete, and there's no easy solution. I got three bids on my patio. Sione's was the most expensive. But in the walk-thru, Paul noticed things the other contractors didn't. He asked really good questions and provided a price quickly. His decades of experience was evident. So I decided to spend more and use him. He and his crew didn't disappoint. I wanted an arc on the end of the patio, and they worked on the form until I was happy with it. They answered all my questions and I had a lot. I'd overseen a lot of commercial concrete in my career, but was unfamiliar with several things they did during this residential job. It wasn't wrong, it was just unfamiliar. They explained why they were doing what they were doing, so I withheld judgment until the end. There were a couple of details in their prep work I wasn't happy with. They changed them without complaint or argument. And they cleaned up after they were done. On top of everything else, the crew was amazingly fast. Concrete is brutal work, but these guys moved like a well-oiled machine. The result was a beautiful product. No low spots, perfect slope, clean joint, beautiful radiused edges. I will definitely use them again when I'm ready to replace my old driveway. And I will recommend them to anyone I know looking for quality concrete work.
